CGI characters and scenery with a fantastic storyline following the games ..... and then computer generate me interested. Just watch the 90s mario film with bob hoskins (R.I.P and no disrespect) and compare it to the modern CGI version.

@Jhena yep, fantastic at the time and I'm sure still holds up well today. As for the music, that was hard-core mid 90s rave back in the day, but probably an acquired taste to be fair.

Apart from three lap races and more to do in free roam, I 'm happy with the foundation game we have and will wait for the inevitable dlc extra tracks and hopefully more stuff further down the road.

@Yosher no worries, it started on the ps1 and sega saturn (on systems before the n64), around 1995/96 without looking on Google I think? I had it on both systems and it was like nothing else at the time. Also, I believe the chemical brothers did some of the track music which made it even cooler! Yep happy memories and great games! The n64 version was ok, but I thought fzero was better than wipeout 64.

@splinters bit of a contradiction there but get the winking face 👍 I think a weapon mode would be great as an additional mode, but as it stands, when you win it's down mainly to skill rather than blowing someone off the track, which yes like you, I prefer.

@Yosher wipeout was on the n64 👍 this is the closest we will get without weapons. Hopefully they will add a weapon mode and online mode further down the road.

Can they fix the bug when my dog wants to go for a walk 10 seconds into lap 1. It's quite off putting being pawed constantly during a race and often ends up in a spectacular crash. I suppose I could paws the game to be fair. Love the game and yes one of the best titles to grace the SW2.

Some games should just be left alone, but I still have happy memories sticking alot of 10p's in the arcade version back in the early 1980s, along with trying to last longer than 3 minutes on Defender before the inevitable GAMEOVER!

I don't play handheld, but was quite surprised how hot it got even docked after half an hour or so of play. I have mine in a cool place and open. However, thankfully, no issues though.

Yeh, I'll just stick with my original gamecube and crt tv. And for single play, NOL gamecube controller.

Although I would have preferred Diddy to Pauline, it's already preordered and 2 weeks from today, can't come soon enough. And as for the music, if I could have that as my morning wake up call, I would go to work in a much happier mood!

Although I am 99% physical games and would prefer to see physical games in the next 20 odd years being sold, I'm wishing for something that will more than likely no longer be. Digital is here and will one day in the not to distant future take 100% of games on sale. It is inevitable.Thankfully I have my retro consoles with a huge backlog of games. And who knows, like vinyl, who's to say they might not come back in some shape or form? I will enjoy my physical games while I can and enjoy the times I had having an actual game in my hand.

Arh, I remember playing breakout in the late 1970s. Happy memories as a 9 year old! And here we are not far off 50 years later and it's still going. Even more amazing...... so am I 😆

Whatever, bombers will bomb and unfortunately have access to the Internet. I still love it and the NL review score IMO is accurate. Although I would like to see the 3 lap races return, it's not worth lowering the score.

I bet he still had a blast on MKW though!! PS I really don't have any issues and don't know what all the fuss is about to be honest.

I don't mind them at all when I'm in 2nd place and outside the blast zone when it drops!

What I have played so far has been very good. However, if I want the original experience, I play on my original consoles on a crt tv which has a rear end the size of a cart horse's 🐎

Yep, easy to see why and easy on the eye. Unfortunately, my wife doesn't share my excitement as it means she will be watching more tv in the bedroom 😉

I have both, if I want to play horizon forbidden west, I can and if I want to play mario or zelda, I can. Best of both worlds and both complement the other. Nintendo have been around long before the PlayStation and will still be around when I take a dirt nap, hopefully many years from now.
