Happy New Year all and here's to a BOTW 2 2023!! Oh and if you can throw in a Star Wars collection including all NES, SNES, N64 and Gamecube games, then 2023 will be a great gaming year for me??!!
Easy....... TMNT Turtles in time SNES, Star Wars, ESB and ROTJ SNES, Link to the past SNES, SMW SNES, SMB Allstars SNES, WIIU MarioKart and Windwaker (hurry up with the Switch remake), NES SMB, NES Star Wars and Saturn Nights Xmas edition (mini Saturn either 2023 or 2024 please). All played around Xmas time and some any time of year! And yes all played on the original consoles! PS Star Wars Rogue Squadron N64 and Rogue Squadron 2 and 3 Gamecube (again, remakes soon please!) PPS Oh and how could I forget, the original Donkey Kong on the SNES. Sh*t, I need to get out more
Happy New Year all! 2022 was good for me as we got TMNT Shredders Revenge and the Cowabunga Collection. And with that my Xmas gaming was perfection apart from some sliced shots on Switch Sports golf!! That said, BOTW 2 and hopefully a Star Wars collection (along lines of the Cowabunga Colletion) including all NES, SNES, N64 and Gamecube Star wars games would make for a perfect 2023! So ending on that note enjoy tonight and hopefully your hangover isn't too bad tomorrow morning
Merry Xmas Eve all and Merry Xmas if you live on the western side of the Pacific Ocean!! Turtles in time (xmas eve tradition) this evening on my ole SNES, already dished out the xmas presents to my island residents on Animal Crossing and later on tonight Switch Sports golf Happy Daze
as for this game, looks ok, but I will carry on playing FZERO on my N64 and Gamecube for now until somebody does the right thing and either remakes or makes a new FZERO game.
Happy daze, Merry Mountain in time for a Merry Christmas gaming fest! And a Happy New Year would include a Star Wars collection including NES, SNES, N64 and Gamecube Star Wars games?! Here's hoping!
Looks ok to me, but can only think, somebody, somewhere make a new FZERO game (or even FZERO 64 or FZERO GX remastered)! Oh yeh..... and hurry up with it!!
I play everyday, but it really needs an injection of something new in the DLC department and like before the holidays!! Wishful thinking I know. Also, it has to be for free?! Or at the very least free on NOL.
my first dip in the ink has been a blast, so not surprised it's doing so well. Very glad I brought it! Received my copy of Mario and Rabbids SoH today so expecting that one to be up there in the charts as well, as it's great too! TMNT still hanging on in there which is great to see. Hopefully a NES, SNES, N64 and Gamecube Star Wars collection gets the same treatment soon??!! Fingers crossed
PS thought I would get in there early with 'What are you playing this weekend?'......... duh, this game of course! oh... and if I can find time, Super Star Wars on the WII VC.
Already pre-ordered and patiently waiting for Thursday when I can begin my Mario Christmas gaming with this gem! Yeh I know it's early, but what a way to kick off my season Will resist the DLC (season pass) for now until it is discounted in the not too distant future.
Lots to be happy about for me, especially Merry Mountain on wave 3 which is just in time for Christmas! However, unless you wear green welly boots and wear Barbour clothing, there were a few too many farming sims for me IMO. That said, Mario and Rabbids is already pre-ordered and waiting patiently for GoldenEye (which is a must) and Zelda TOTK. Just hoping that one day soon a collection is made of the old NES and SNES Star Wars games as well as the N64 and Gamecube Rogue Squadron games.... oh along with
Shadows of the Empire as well please
When you go to see the Great Statue, can you pick it up for me, as it is the last one I need to finish the art collection side game. Cheers! PS Just don't do your global flying with Dodo airlines as in that plane it will take you forever!
1st dip in the ink for me, pre-ordered and waiting patiently for Friday to come. I have this funny feeling I will be regretting not purchasing 1 and 2 and trying them out years ago. However, that said, it looks like I'm starting my ink splatting on what looks like the best of the bunch!! Happy daze and roll on Friday!!
@WhiteTrashGuy yep heard ya, take my money now as imo the games I mentioned are gems and in real need of remastering and made into a Star Wars collection!! Glad to see others sharing my passion! Hopefully word will get out and some devs might take this project on?? Fingers crossed eh as I appreciate there will be a few licensing issues to overcome!
30 years in the making for me (since Christmas 1992 TMNT in time)!! And really happy to see this collection nearly on my Switch. 9 out of 10 sounds good to me but personally I would have given it a 10 just for TMNT in time alone Here's hoping for a NES and SNES Star Wars collection (NES SW and ESB, SNES SW, ESB and ROTJ) in the not too distant future and maybe a 3 x Rogue Squadron (2 X GC and 1 X N64) and Shadows of the Empire (N64) collection to follow?!!
@Schopenhauer77 fingers crossed!! If they managed to sort out the licensing issues with the TMNT collection, I'm sure they could do it for a Star Wars collection as well?! Here's hoping as I'm sure it would sell lots of copies!!
Well roll on Tuesday!! Already pre-ordered and waiting patiently!! This is gaming wish 2 out of 3 come true, so really happy about this release and the great review just makes me more impatient for Tuesday to arrive
1st gaming wish was an updated version of TMNT in time (which we kind of got with Shredders Revenge) and the 3rd is a similar collection, but with the old Star Wars games: NES Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back, along with SNES Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. The cherry on top would be all the Rogue Squadron games and Shadows of the Empire remastered and added together as a collection as well. Any devs interested in making that happen? You have my money already!
First of all happy gaming all and if your in England you should be out enjoying this lovely weather as Mum used to say to me. In the evenings I will be playing 80s overdrive on the Switch and Need for speed on the WII U. Have a good weekend everyone!
Looks ok but will pass on this one as the cowabunga collection is coming out on the 30th of this month. Hoping to see a re-make/collection of NES Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back and SNES SW, ESB and ROTJ. Also, the Rogue Squadron trilogy. Take my money now if someone does this!
Downloaded, played and thoroughly enjoyed, great set of tracks and IMO nice one Nintendo (I would say 8 out of 10). Today has been a great day as my physical copy of TMNT SR arrived finally aswell! Game on! Looking forward to the Cowabunga Collection now and maybe at some point in the future somebody making a Star Wars Collection with NES Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back as well as the SNES versions of SW, ESB AND ROTJ. Maybe one day hopefully??!!
@Mattock1987 It's ok, but not great. Personally, if you are thinking of getting it, then I would go for streets of rage 4 or obviously shredders revenge instead.
@Strictlystyles maybe but living in the UK, I only found out about this about 5 minutes ago and I'm 51 yrs old Won't be looking at this as my next retro hardware purchase, but an interesting add on never the less.
Prefer my box NES thanks, but an interesting article. Playing SMB and Star Wars just feels how it should do on me old grey box NES. Long live my man cave and all the old consoles in there!
Looking forward to my physical copy of Shredders Revenge coming at the end of the month hopefully!! And if it wasn't for CJS CD KEYS not sending me a £25 eshop voucher or a refund, then I would have the digital version and be enjoying right now. Potential buyers from this company be aware!!
Well it would have been TMNT SR but due to the online shop CJS CD KEYS not providing the correct e-shop code (wrong region) and dragging their heels with regards to a providing me with a correct code or refund (potential future buyers be very aware and check out the bad reviews on Trustpilot!!), it will be episodes 4 and 5 on lego star wars. Happy gaming everyone and take note about my warning regarding CJS CD KEYS!!!
Well it would have been TMNT Shredders Revenge, but I have to wait for my physical copy from The Cool Shop and although I purchased a European e-shop download voucher to purchase the digital TMNT game, for some reason the Euro code does not work on my Euro region Switch???!! Any ideas anyone (PS still waiting on the legit online company to provide a work around who sold it to me)?? So on that note, it will be Mario Kart WIIU with the Grand Kids
Although I'm on my 2nd glass of wine due to a day off work, it's not just the 2 glasses of wine that are giving me a warm happy fuzzy feeling at the moment. The fact this game is finally out tomorrow is certainly an additional factor! This game doesn't need DLC as it's got my money already and it's going to be fantastic anyway! Huge thanks to the devs for making a personal dream come true!
@sanderev and a very good opinion you have too, that's why I said one of the best games of all time, as BOTW is in my top 5 as well To be fair, Zelda and Mario games, would pretty much make up my top ten apart form the Horizon series.
Switch Sports is an ok game and yes, could have been better of course! However games 1 and 2 make perfect sense to me and especially Horizon Forbidden West which IMO is probably one of the best games of all time along with Zero Dawn.
Good to see and welcome to my man cave where I have games and consoles older than my Grandchildren (the joke is they prefer playing wii bowling and wii u Mario Kart)!! Lets hope we see many more classic games being developed going forward rather than the unfinished and pay to play sh*t that we see too much of these days!!
I will never forget Christmas 1992 playing 2 player on TMNT in time with a friend across the road! Good memories and here's to making some new good memories with the Cowabunga Collection and Shredders Revenge in 2022
This and The Cowabunga Collection can not come out quick enough!! Hurry Up!! And next on my request list (PLEASE!) for a re-release or remake is the old amiga game, Super Frog
