I was loving the apparent freedom and drip feed of progession in Core Keeper but have taken a break from it because I've since found it seems to prevent key progression milestones until you've overcome certain boss-type creatures, and as I wasn't particularly minded to tackle those in whichever way the game expects but doesn't communicate, it suddenly felt quite repetitive.
I believe others who have progressed further with the game and love it, so I've not given up on it, and the first 10-15 hours were great, but maybe I need something like this Switch 2 upgrade news to inspire me to persevere.
If those cons weren't there I'd have jumped on this immediately, but grind and 'far too many currencies' is enough to make me wait for a while and play chicken on the price. Haven't researched whether it's available physically yet either.
I find SpongeBob primarily an audio-visual treat, so one-note combat is not much of a worry - it's the colours, voices, sfx and music I'm in for (and why the karting games sucked bananas, 'cos the audio was L-ame). Proper physical or deep sale for me though.
Just started playing DKB two days ago. I've stayed away from footage, so to find myself with the power of this unstoppable destruction force is quite something. The speed at which DK smashes his way into things is phenomenal. It certainly feels like an essential Switch 2 launch year experience.
Is there a Switch 1 physical yet? As much as I like the look of this one, I'm minded to go for Switch 1 copies so that I can play them on both (with a digital upgrade for the Switch 2 version).
It's **** like this that's gonna see me buying a Switch 2 this week, it seems, cos I've been itching to complete a playthrough of this. Tried once on PS3 and once on Xbone, and owned the Switch physical for a good while, but this free upgrade is the kinda bonus incentive that makes all the difference in real life.
I would like a recount on Mega Man 2 please. Not sure how that got left in.
And quite how Super Mario Galaxy only gets in at 23 ... I just ...
Tetris (GB) is obviously an iconic game, but that shouldn't be allowed to compromise the integrity of this list. Have it out, bump Galaxy up to the Top 10, and restore some order to this thing.
I'd have a hard time not having Mario Galaxy, Mario 3D World and Smash Bros Ultimate in my top 10, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe would be duking it out for the No.1 spot with Breath of the Wild.
@Pillowpants Disagree, I think my two posts are making the same point in pretty similar ways, but I'll take your feedback with love and respect, thank you ❤️
@Pillowpants If the second-hand market didn't exist, not as many copies would have been sold at this stage. Some people buy in the knowledge they can re-sell, and some people will only have bought this game this early because they knew they could sell it on if they didn't want to keep it. The logic is sound.
@CurryPowderKeg79 The seller of your copy likely only bought it because they knew they could sell it on used. So by contributing to the used market, you've contributed to the sales figures.
@StewdaMegaManNerd The line Peach has in the first movie about not knowing where she came from definitely has 'To Be Continued' vibes going on - either it turns out she's a dimension jumping Zelda, or she's closely related to Rosalina. Maybe.
Played 30 hours but reached the point where I wasn't enjoying it. I can utilise determination and perseverance with challenging boss fights, but I dont want to have to keep doing that, over and over, all the while having to tolerate stupid, pointless run-backs. Just not fun after a while.
It seems unlikely that the next movie will avoid having a character say the word 'Yoshi', and there seems a good chance the actor that has to say "Yoshi" is going to be American.
How in Hector's Hotpants are we going to make the sure that that actor pronounces it 'Yosh-eee' rather than that ridiculous American butchering of 'Yoe-sheee' that we've been forced to endure in Smash Bros.?
This is of critical importance. We can't introduce the non-Nintendo world to Yoshi and let them mistakenly think he's got a stupid name.
Can we get someone to fix the date stamp bug on this comments section? What's the point in us being around at iinception if it's going to make it look like we're 20 years late wannabes?
A splendid milestone and achievement. Congratulations to everyone present and past involved in NintendoLife's establishment as the numero uno place to go for living a Nintendo Life.
Wish I'd been present from the start, but I've been here for more than half so ... You're welcome 🤗
Samus looks great, but the central portion of that elongated bike is bland af when viewed from the side. The cockpit view is a little more interesting, mind.

The only bit that's any different is the last bit about dungeons and 'solving intricate puzzles to uncover sacred artifacts that can aid him in his quest', which is a valid expectation for a Zelda film.
Very excited about this. There's very few films being made nowadays that get my anticipatory juices flowing, so to have Nintendo committing to an ongoing programme of film projects is very welcome in terms of giving me something to look forward to. The fact a Zelda movie is being filmed in the land of Amon Hen, Fangorn Forest, Lothlorien and Rohan... *faints
I don't feel adequately familiar with Hitchcock's works to agree or disagree with this, but when I think of Ocarina of Time and Breath of the Wild, they both strike me as being industry-leading for their time, like they almost define (rather than just speak) the language of action-adventure video games.
If you'd like to get a year's NSO + Expansion Pack for £7, let me know. I have one, perhaps two, places open on my long-running NSO + Expansion Pack family group membership that I've just renewed today.
Tonally, the trailer makes MP4 look excellent. Very excited.
Texturally, the game looks a bit out-dated and certainly looks like the Switch 1 game it was always meant to be. I'll reserve judgement until it's in my hands, but I was kinda hoping they'd squeeze more out of Switch 1 visually than it appears they have, but it's not a big deal to me.
The payment card I originally pre-ordered this on expired years ago, so I'll be hunting around for deals soon.
@PikminMarioKirby Do you want their names? I'm not sure Nintendo will release that data willingly, but if you can hang on a little while, no doubt there'll be some data breach along the line that can sort you out, but you may have to pay up.
I'm guessing some of that 16% will be existing users using a new a new account for whatever reason. The rest will be.... new customers 🤑
So long as the focus on quality is maintained, I'm down for as many as they want to make. The Super Mario Bros Movie may have been a bit lite, but it was still great and an absolute treat for a Nintendo/Mushroom Kingdom fan - definitely better than not having a movie at all.
Ever since I joined this site I've been wanting Nintendo to lean more into mainstream markets for its wonderful IP. The wait for the Zelda movie is too long!
The megaphone update stings somewhat. I've been running around my Island for 5 years looking high and low for people and wanting to holla them out of hiding. 'Better late than never' doesn't quite express what I'm feeling.
Nevertheless, it's nice to see an update after all this time, and the collabs look fun. AC:NH Link looks irresistible, as does the Splatoon stuff.
Seems to have completely slipped my mind that this ever came out on Switch in the first place. Probably due to the pricing strategy for the game, going by what Joey says above.
Just checked Deku Deals - I had it on my wishlist, but it looks like it's never dropped £26 UK price. As a first time player, £26 is not the kind of money I drop on digital downloads, and due to my existing pile of unplayed games, I see no reason to make an exception here. Surprised it hasn't had a physical release, 'cos it's a well regarded game, from what I've read.
I got stumped within about 5 minutes of Lumo 1, so I feel I have to revisit that before considering this, but it's nice to see it's reviewed well, so I'll put it on the wishlist.
@sketchturner A lot of games could be addictive to someone, but I would not put a time-sink game in the same category as something like Vampire Survivors. I dropped Vampire Survivors very quickly because the gameplay was so one-dimensional and just bored me. I immediately saw how it's designed to drip in gradual progression in a potentially-addicting way but offered me nothing else. Games like Pokémon and Stardew Valley are time-sinks because there's much more going on in them.
I haven't looked at Ball x Pit closely yet, but it looks more involved and fun than Vampire Survivors, so I've put it on my wishlist.
I sense the joys are going to overpower the cons for me (although the stiff character animation does put me off) and I'll be giving this serious consideration and will probably get, before ultimately returning here to curse the cons that I've imposed upon myself...
@Rainbowjames Unless you have been blessed by a miracle, your physical version is not the whole game and requires a download.
I was starting to get into LRG purchases, but then a bunch of their publications started becoming available elsewhere and I've been put off again.
I have the incomplete version of this game on Switch but have not played much of it. Tempted to let this news push me into playing the game more to see if it justifies a complete version in my Switch collection.

But can we address the elephant in the room, please?
