Rather sceptical that this depends on a kickstarter. I'll check out the deal, but I'm a bit reluctant to kickstart unless I'm going to get a physical copy out of it.

Urrgghh! The dilemma. Hate it. Really wanna support this game, but really object to the lack of physical. An unpleasant feeling of trying to be forced along a road I don't like the look of. Probably gonna wait for eshop sales or hope I find a lost GKC on the bus someday.

I'm a bit of a newcomer and must have no more than about 100 hours clocked in the Pokémon universe so far (majority split across Legends Arceus, Violet and Art Academy, with another 10-20 in Yellow and Y) so a lot of these were completely new to me, but try me again on the 35th Anniversary and I'll hope to at least double my paltry score of 9.

Very interested to know how much time goes into playing/watching/reading Pokémon to be able score 25 in a minute. And does it mostly come from just playing, or do people just study the dex for the sake of it? I like browsing my dex, but I haven't taken much of it in yet.

If and when it hits the price point a 10 year old bug-riddled game deserves (£5), I'm all over it.

Why do so many people want to see the evolutions before playing the game? Surely the surprise element of how a new Pokémon evolves is a significant hook for players - it is for me.

Interesting reveal video. Interesting in that it lacked much of the personality you expect to see with Disgaea. But I'm happy to wait and see before judging.

New 3DS (regular size), white. Dem buttons 🤤😍🤤 - I have 3 or 4 of them, 3 blacks (one of which is my og and main unit, peep the Majora's Mask cover plates 😎). Also got 2 x Pikachu N2DS.

I was just recently wondering about any recent games that involve nurturing nature to create flourishing ecological habitats and, while this may not be exactly what I was thinking of, it's close enough to now be doubly interesting to me. Just a big shame about the game keycard situation - that's going to interfere with my other to get in early on this one.

Interesting though that this preview doesn't mention technical performance. Are we being setup for a rug-pull when the review reveals 'performance woes' for the Pokébashers to revel in?

@Luffymcduck You beat BotW in VR? Wowsers, that's good going. I loved playing it in LABO VR, but would have struggled to continuously hold the unit up for that long. Plus, after a while, the way the camera view changed abruptly when Link approached a cliff face started to make me nauseous.

Did you stay the goggles to your head, or did you just hold them up the whole time?

Health bars were mentioned in the release notes that I saw a day or two ago.

I'll wait until I've seen it in action before judgement, but I'm inclined to think I'll miss the clean appearance of the pre-health bar days. Generally I go for as little clutter as possible in an action game.

Can't help but feel referencing the controls in the article title is disproportionate to how significant it is - do we want to give good racing games a leg up on this platform or kick them down? But as it has been highlighted, it would be good to know whether the Wii U adapter for og GameCube controllers can be used for analogue control.

@Koda1000 It seems like you're trying to suggest that the way Google translate says it trumps the way that Yoshi says it in the games and in the movie.

Whatever the literal translation to audio may be, the way the character says it in the Nintendo of Japan-produced games, and now the NoJ-produced movie, seems rightly definitive to me.

I don't know anything about Japanese, but if you're telling me that a 'yo' (as in yo-yo) sound, when slightly tightened and blended with a 'sh' sound, still sounds exactly like yo as in yo-yo, then I think we've found the problem.

Film looks beautiful. Kinda puts the games to shame a bit though, visually. N gon' have to up their game with the next Mario game to keep up.
