Wonder is the most overrated Mario game IMO. I pre-orderd it and was left wanting so much more. I love the new art style and the wonder-sections are neat, but the course design and platforming do not impress. I've tried going back to it several times thinking I'm missing something and still feel the same way. Out of the two mascot-platformers released that Fall, SONIC SUPERSTARS was the better game.

This was my highlight from the Direct. After reading interviews with the developers during GamesCom last year, I am pretty hyped for this and glad it is coming to S2. They are developing the FPS and Third-Person modes independently from each other to ensure they both feel great to play and not just a camera change. The Mantles (body armor) are pulling from Native American lore. I have really high hopes for this. The marketing so far has been pants. I urge anyone interested to seek out some interviews from last Summer.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Direct February Partner Predictions - What Do You Want To See?

WhiteTrashGuy

Its weird. Most of the games I am hoping to see weren't on this list. I want the RE 2, 3, and 4 remakes, but think closer to Halloween is more likely. Honestly, I want Microsoft to come out with some big titles on the S2. DOOM: TDA is the big one, but howabout some Forza, HALO, Call of Duty, Rare Replay, Sea of Thieves, Gears, and NINJA GAIDEN 4? Oh, and show off some gameplay from Indy. I reckon STARFIELD has also been bandied about. Or Oblivion: Remastered? Finally, give me some more James Bond footage running on the S2, IO!!!

I know in the gaming communities I frequent, FF is still popular. I feel like the current want is for updates/remakes of their classics. I would love to see a remake of V in this style. The main issue I see is that the reception for both 15 and 16 was lukewarm. I fell off of 15 and never purchased 16; the demo did not do it for me. If they are working on 17 they need to really provide a grand adventure. Lean into the combat systems introduced in the VII remake games or provide interesting layers to turn-based gameplay.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (3rd January)

Christmas and the sales hit me good. Recieved MP4: BEYOND (S2) & SPLATOON 3 from family. Picked up ROGUE PoP, SHINOBI: AoV, PWRWSH SIM, and SILVER BULLET during the sale. Will probably also roll some SPLINTERED FATE S2 EDITION as I got the 4K trilogy as well for Christmas and am in a TMNT mood. Finally, to the cat rolling PANDORA'S TOWER on Wii.... I see you.

Re: Talking Point: Does It Bother You That Big Games Companies Are Using GenAI?

If you are making a huge open world game, the I am fine with AI designing trees and texture/art assets for larger areas. Towns, dungeons, characters should all be done by artists. As for AI characters.... A mix of both as well. Story and quest characters should be written and voiced by human artists. Just general background townsfolk? AI could be hilarious for these non-essential characters.

Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting Kirby Air Riders?

I liked the test. However, it was the racing that I liked the best. City Trial was neat, but seeing all of those power-up icons just made me think how much I want them to remaster KID ICARUS: UPRISING. This should have been a $50.00-$60.00 USD game, max. If I do ever pick it up if would have to be on a deep sale or used. I can't see myself paying more than $40.00 USD for this. In fact, the racing made me throw in MKW again last weekend and roll some Knockout Tour.

I tried putting a pic of my cartridge, lol. That really sucks. I was so happy when they put out the physical. I sold my Xbox GOTY edition. I'm trying to get as many games physical, but I have a feeling the S2 is going to require such big installs for newer third-party titles that the majority will be download codes or Game Key-Cards. CD Projekt Red must have done some Nintendo-level compression to pack Cyberpunk 2077 onto that cart. Thing is, I rarely buy digital if it's not on sale. I have a feeling I will be waiting to get AC: SHADOWS for a bit because of this. I hope Indy is not a download, but I'm not holding my breath.... RDR2 will most definitely be download only, I fear.
