Re: Feature: 54 Switch Ports We'd Love To See Before The Generation's Out

I think about this a lot. I feel like any more PS4/5 era titles should wait for S2. I am pretty surprised we have not received FALLOUT 3 / NEW VEGAS by this point. I would love if Ubisoft brought PoP 2008 over. EA would have cleaned up with BAD COMPANY 1/2, MIRROR'S EDGE, and DEAD SPACE. Konami could have easily brought over LORDS OF SHADOW 1 & 2 as well. As for KIRBY'S EPIC YARN.... Wait for S2 so we can have it in glorious 4K/60; those graphics deserve it.

Re: Feature: 9 'Mature' Games We'd Love To See On Nintendo Switch Online's New N64 App

WhiteTrashGuy

I only voted for CONKER. TBH, the six games I am wanting now on the N64 service is this, BODY HARVEST, TETRISPHERE, DIDDY KONG RACING, DK 64, and ROGUE SQUADRON. I mean, sure, I would take NO MERCY, MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE, CASTLEVANIA 64, and WETRIX as well (the latter two being most likely). But, with them already having WINBACK, PERFECT DARK, GOLDENEYE, and BLAST CORPS on there it's already pretty slammin'!

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: Turok 2: Seeds Of Evil

WhiteTrashGuy

Voted American. Was following it's development pretty closely. I had enough money to pick up one game over the holidays and I wanted it to take advantage of the Expansion Pak. I got to Target and stared back and forth at this and ROGUE SQUADRON. The 'coolness' of Turok won out. Until I got home. I had rented ROGUE SQUADRON and loved it, but was so enamored with the first Turok and all of the previews with Iguana about 2, that I figured it would be a slam dunk. Great graphics and soundtrack. Misguided level design and objectives. I ended up selling it.

Re: Talking Point: Is Summer Game Fest Really Missing Nintendo's Presence?

WhiteTrashGuy

The Direct should have been this last Tuesday at the latest in order for this time of year to come close to feeling like E3. IGN published an article about how this year really felt like E3 again. I call BS. Without a more unified schedule for the big presentations it will not feel like E3 week again. And TBH, I feel Microsoft takes it seriously every year. So while this particular presentation was packed with hits, it still continues Microsoft's 'claim' of valuing gamer culture. They still know how to bring the hype.

Re: Poll: How Would You Rate The Summer Game Fest 2024 Opening Showcase?

WhiteTrashGuy

It was pretty ho-hum. Some really nice indie stuff, but mostly stuff we already knew about. I feel the biggest shows this week will be MICROSOFT and NINTENDO. Maybe Ubisoft will bring it and really surprise us (BG&E2 and SoT:Remake please). I think MICROSOFT will show a new handheld. With them so focused on streaming and the success of the Switch and Steam Deck' it seems like a no-brainer.

Re: Review: Star Wars: Hunters (Switch) - A F2P Hero Shooter That's Fast, Fun, And Force-ful

WhiteTrashGuy

Just spent a couple hours with it. Taking into account the type of game it is, I would give it a 7. Controls really well, different classes are fun, and it runs good on Switch. The menus are atrocious; really feels like a constant bombardment of "upgrade this with $$$," but that's to be expected. For a free game it's not too shabby; especially if you just want to roll a few quick rounds.

Re: Talking Point: How Do You Define 'Retro'?

WhiteTrashGuy

With the way remasters and the download scene is now, I really feel 3 console generations is where it's at. The Wii is just BARELY retro. I would say the GCN, PS2, and XBOX era is Retro at this point with the Wii/360/PS3 era right on the cusp.

Re: Poll: Is $60 Too Much For Nintendo's Switch Re-Releases?

WhiteTrashGuy

$39.00 USD to $49.00 USD is the right price point for re-releases like KIRBY: RETURN TO DREAMLAND DLX and LUIG'S MANSION 2 as they are more recent releases. I can understand TTYD being around $60.00 USD as it's basically a "from-the-ground-up" remake of a 20-year-old game. Of course, I think Princess Peach: Showtime should have been $50.00 USD so there's that too.

Re: Mortal Kombat 2 Movie Launches In Cinemas October 2025

@Truegamer79
We walked out of the theater and one of my friends declares "I think that was better than thr first one!!!" My jaw dropped, I lost it... "It was a bunch of really shifty music videos just stitched together!" Probably the worst movie ever made, all things considered.
