Comparing AI to a knife reminds me of the part of Jurassic Park where Hammond tries to minimize the danger of the incident by saying Disneyland experienced technical difficulties at its opening.

It's a fundamentally different scenario to a few bad apples deciding to misuse AI. The end goal of AI is to allow corporations to own creativity and to replace as many artists as possible.

Travelling right now, will be playing Hades II, Metroid Prime 4, Pokémon Scarlet, and Super Mario Galaxy.

I am enjoying the game so far, but I think game devs shouldn't just try to implement a mechanic (i.e. open world) just because people online say they want it. Oftentimes, people don't consider how things would work out in practice when voicing their opinions online.

I didn't know Minecraft: PlayStation Edition was still available for purchase. I had thought that all of the console versions were replaced by Bedrock Edition.

@gabrigoes No. As far as new games go, I played Mario Kart World, Deltarune Chapters 3+4, Donkey Kong Bananza, Kirby Air Riders, Pokemon Legends: Z-A, Kirby and the Forgotten Land Star Crossed World, and Hades II.

I've been collecting my thoughts on all the games I've been playing lately, and I have decided that while I had more fun in Pokemon Legends: Z-A than any other Nintendo title this year, it's execution was undeniably poor, so my Nintendo GOTY now is DK Bananza.

Deltarune - 10/10

Donkey Kong Bananza - 9/10

Kirby Air Riders - 9/10

Pokemon Legends: Z-A - 8/10

Mario Kart World - 8/10

This weekend I'll be focusing on Hades II and Pokemon Scarlet. I hope to get as close to finishing them as I can, as I'm getting Metroid Prime 4 and Super Mario Galaxy for Christmas, and would like to spend as much time playing those when I get my hands on them.

I hope we can get more 8th gen ports, as those won't need to make quite so many compromises as 9th gen ports if devs put in the proper effort.

@LazyDaisy Interesting you say that Chapter 4 is over the top and wacky, considering the Titan, the Final Prophecy, the new details of Susie and Ralsei's backstory, and most of all, the ThornRing scene. Personally, I disagree with your statement that DR is too wacky and would say Deltarune (and Undertale before it) strike a great balance between lightheartedness and seriousness.

Also, the pie at the start of Chapter 2 isn't just something to be played for laughs. Kris just went through a traumatic experience of having some unknowable entity control them for a day. Kris ripped the Soul out in order to feel some autonomy and ate the pie because it's their comfort food.

I hope in the future you can come to appreciate Deltarune for both its serious and wacky moments, but if you can't, then that's okay too.

I really want to try out GameChat with friends sometime, but my only friend who owns a Switch 2 isn't interested.

It would be cool if Cult of the Lamb could get a Switch 2 version to coincide with the new DLC releasing.

Silksong is still in my queue of games to play, though I should be able to play it fairly early in 2026. Hopefully the DLC is out by then, but if not, then that's fine.

The Switch 2 Edition of Hollow Knight is really nice too. I had played a bit of HK in Switch 2 handheld mode to rematch NKG and noticed the graphics were a tad crunchy, so it's nice we're getting this free upgrade. Funnily enough, I had a passing thought about Hollow Knight getting such an upgrade the other day.

I hadn't heard about MindsEye. I must find out what makes it so terrible.

I'm not dying to play anything from the current 2026 slate. I'll probably play Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, but I'm not dead set on getting it. Games like Pragmata, Splatoon Raiders, Glaciered, and Mario Wonder NS2E I feel like I don't know enough about. I hope the next Nintendo Direct can announce some games for 2026 that really interest me. At the very least, I can expect Pokemon Gen 10 to pull through for me.

Hades II
This is the main game I'm playing right now, so I'll be trying to make some good progress in it. The gameplay is somewhat repetitive though, so I can only play it for so long before I want to play something else.

Pokémon Scarlet
Replaying on Switch 2 with a special ruleset to make the game more difficult. The smooth 60FPS upgrade is great, even if the world remains hideous. I just beat Klawf and am now en route to beat Giacomo.

Mario Kart World
Definitely going to play for a bunch of races. I don't care what people say, this game is a blast and deserved Best Sports/Racing at TGA.

Kirby Air Riders
I'll play some rounds of City Trial and maybe a few Air Rides. I have not touched Top Ride.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A
Not playing the DLC, but lately I've been doing some Ranked Battles for fun. I think I'm seeing less of Xerneas and Mewtwo, which is nice.

I'm intrigued but not sold. I'll probably try out the demo when it releases.

Bradley the Badger looked really cool and is probably the highlight of the new announcements for me, but it isn't coming to console (not even PlayStation despite references to PlayStation titles). I really hope it gets a Switch 2 port later down the road.

I loved the base game but I feel no incentive to buy this DLC for $30. The previous Pokemon DLCs were expensive enough and those had 2 waves, each of which came with new maps. This just has WD Gaster Lumiose, some missions, and what looks to be more of the same. I hope future Pokemon DLCs aren't this uninteresting.

On an unrelated note, I predicted the design of Mega Meowstic which was also my most wanted mega evolution for this game, so that's cool.

I hope Expedition 33 gets ported to Switch 2 given how popular it is.

I played the online playtest demo a few months back and found it to be pretty mundane and disappointing. Mario Kart World and Kirby Air Riders, on the other hand, are fantastically fun, so I have no need for another racer anyway.

@TheWanderingBard So far all the previous season Mega stones have not only continued to be available, but have been placed in easier to reach tiers (Greninjite was originally in Rank K and now is in Rank Y), so you should be able to get Mega Greninja, Chesnaight, and Delphox.

Nintendo Switch (2) should be an inspiration to us all. We should all strive to improve our stability in life.

Either outcome is abysmal for anyone who enjoys film and TV.

He just needs to recreate that one Wii U ad, then he'll definitely win that Switch 2.

If they can change the layout of the routes, perhaps they can move some routes around on the map to make space for new courses on the map to be added in free updates.
