Of those listed, I've only actually played Bananza. I plan on playing Silksong and Hades II eventually. That said, I'm not going to sit around and pretend for a second that DK stands a chance against E33---which I would play if I had any device capable of running it---given the current state of gaming discourse.
If there's an in-store demo, then there is a solid chance we get an eShop demo a few months later down the line, much like Bananza. Of course, MKW didn't get this treatment, so it doesn't come as a guarantee, either.
I really don't like crossover characters. It makes everything feel janky and inconsistent to have just a regular man racing alongside Spongebob and Hatsune Miku in a Sonic racer. I'm glad MKW did away with the MK8DX's crossover characters, quite frankly.
@Anti-Matter Nintendo's patent was not on the summoning of characters for battle, it was for the "Let's Go" (Auto battling) feature used in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. While all video game patents are bad, this particular patent would not threaten the genre at all.
@axelhander I very clearly stated that Palworld's plagiarism was with select Pal designs, yet here you are talking about gameplay mechanics and code rather than addressing what I discussed. This is called a dropped argument, which essentially means you could not make a rebuttal to my argument---because you know that those designs are plagiarized---but you cannot bring yourself to admit defeat and accept a nuanced argument as being the most correct, so you pivot to some side tangent.
I'll still humor you and respond to what you said, though:
My problem with Palworld was, again, specific Pal designs, nothing to do with the gameplay of Palworld (especially because Palworld is more like Ark Survival Evolved gameplay-wise). Most 2D platformers would not be considered plagiarism of Super Mario, but any game with a protagonist who carries most of Mario's design traits would be considered plagiarism.
If Nintendo's code was discovered in Palworld, that would be a separate instance of plagiarism, though to my knowledge, there is no evidence to this claim. Plagiarism can be done in many capacities, especially in an art form as complex as video games. Also, where are you getting the claim that Nintendo stole code? I couldn't find anything about that online.
Long story short, Palworld has, almost certainly, plagiarized Pokemon designs, which is scummy behavior. This does not make me approve of Nintendo's suit, and Nintendo's suit shouldn't make you approve of Palworld's plagiarism.
@axelhander Perhaps I wasn't clear enough, but my statement wasn't that Palworld is some sort of one-to-one Pokemon clone. My point is that certain Pal designs (e.g. Fenglope, Shadowbeak, Verdash, etc.) are dubiously similar to Pokemon designs (Cobalion, Silvally, and Cinderace for those I mentioned, respectively) to the point where arguments can be made about Palworld committing some degree of plagiarism. And again I will say again I do not support Nintendo's legal pursuit of Palworld or patenting of game mechanics in any capacity. Hope that clarifies things for you
Funny that this has way more stuff than the NS2 Editions of Zelda, Pokemon, and Metroid, and is cheaper than all. Some people mentioned that it appears to still be 30 FPS, I guess that's why.
Palworld was scummy for plagiarizing Pokemon designs. Nintendo was scummier for patenting game mechanics and stifling creativity in the gaming industry. I see this as an absolute win.
I feel like there's a lot of generalization going on here. Different games excel at different aspects and some games are better than others. I think both Legends titles are great so I feel weird saying the whole Switch generation was mediocre. The only thing that was subpar across the board was graphics, which is nowhere near as important as gameplay quality (at least for me).
IMO I feel like it's incorrect to say the biggest competition to gaming is short-form videos, for the most part.
People who are properly invested in gaming (i.e. the people who play on consoles or PC), who are Xbox's core audience, are going to prioritize games over short form content. Mobile gamers and casuals may be usurped, sure, but mobile gamers weren't on Xbox in the first place and casuals will probably continue to purchase games occasionally as they always have.
In summation, this short-form videos argument is codswallop since it would result in ultimately little change to who is buying from Xbox.
I wasn't going to buy physically anyway, as I like casual "pick-up-and-play-for-a-round" games digitally as that's most convenient for me, and Air Riders falls into that boat for me.
Pokemon Legends Z-A: I'm really getting pulled into this game right now in a way few games have, so I'm definitely going to get to log a bunch of hours this weekend. It also boosts my enjoyment that a friend of mine who doesn't usually play games is playing alongside me.
Portal 2: Also very enjoyable and will definitely be playing this weekend.
Normally I'd also put Mario Kart World but I'm just too engrossed in Z-A to consider playing Mario Kart. Maybe I'll pick it up once, but I'm not confident this weekend.
To put it simply, I love basically everything about Deltarune. The boss fights are immaculate, the writing is both humorous and emotional, the gameplay is constantly being shaken up, and there's just so much to love about this title.
Frankly, the only reason this game isn't my favorite game of all time is because it doesn't have an ending yet. So unless Toby Fox drops the ball in later chapters (which I doubt), I'm certain this will climb to the #1 spot whenever the final chapter comes out---likely 2087.
It is absolutely wild that so many people think windows being textures rather than models is vastly more important in terms of a game's quality than the actual gameplay.
I've got no interest in this game but I'd be lying if I said I didn't think that the trailers of this game (specifically the endings) are sick as heck.
I'm happy to say my previous apprehension about the game was absolutely NOT justified. The game is a blast. I've spent the past few days shiny hunting Gallade and now that I've got it I'm excited to get back into the fantastic gameplay loop.
Celeste - Still working my way through Farewell (the deaths count will be ungodly).
Portal 2 - I got the Companion Collection when it was available for $5 a few months back and already played Portal 1. I started 2 yesterday and I'm having a lot of fun. One thing GLaDOS certainly isn't testing is my patience, you could say.
Mario Kart World - I play this game all the time so it's no surprise that I'll probably end up playing it sometime this weekend.
Let us not forget that in Pokemon Legends Arceus, the player would grunt when rolling or getting mauled by an Ursaring. This is all the voice acting we will ever get at this rate. All the while, the flipping gacha game has voice acted dialogue.
Jokes aside, I hope that if Game Freak does ever decide to implement voice acting, I hope they do it right. A lot of games with voice acting have this weird thing of making it sound like passerby conversation is constantly directed toward the player even when it isn't supposed to be. Hopefully a BOTW style of mumbling most of the time with full voice acting for cutscenes would be used in this fantastical future where Pokemon has proper voice acting.
Side Note: It really goes to show how necessary the voice acting is for these cutscenes that in the linked video, I instinctively tried to increase the volume on my computer LMAO
I'm not really sure who this is supposed to be for. Most PC handheld users swear by a Steam Deck, and I don't see how it would appeal to Xbox users since it's a PC/Non-Console experience and can't play console exclusive Xbox games. And as others have pointed out, it has no sleep mode, which is antithetical to the idea of a handheld device.

Mario Kart World: I'll probably drop on in for a few races at some point.
