I first got into Zelda with Breath of the Wild, which I purchased precisely two weeks before Tears of the Kingdom released.

I get what's being referenced but every time I read "fun" in quotes it sounds like FireRed and LeafGreen are Pokemon's takes on Russian Roulette.

As long as there are no issues with the ports, I'll be getting LeafGreen.

Not a Xenoblade guy but it's interesting that a Wii U game is getting a Switch 2 Edition. I know BOTW is technically a Wii U port, but that was released simultaneously on Switch and Wii U. I'm curious what other games may get the Switch 2 Edition treatment.

While I have my reservations about the games themselves, I think XY has by far the best overall roster of new Pokemon. I could go for just about any Pokemon from this generation (except for Barbaracle or Diggersby)

Ultimately, Noivern is my favorite. It's sleek and I love the speaker ears.

Chandelure. It's cute and mysterious.

@Mai It's funny that you picked Munchlax considering the character Mai from Legends Arceus has Munchlax as a partner.

Gallade. Arm swords are just cool! What more do you want? It's especially cool in its Mega form, and even more especially cool in its shiny form (Shiny Mega Gallade is my favorite shiny overall).

Since Gallade is just a new evolution for an older design, I thought I'd also mention that Garchomp is my favorite completely original Sinnoh Pokemon.

Now if we just get a Switch system update this week, then we can joke about getting 2 horse-related articles in one week.

Unfortunately, I can't live without rumble since I crashed into a stack of tires in Mario Kart.

@Metazoxan I used Lapras in a replay of Pokémon X. I'd say it was pretty viable and had some good bulk to it. Then again, XY weren't the toughest of Pokémon games. It has a pretty good Gmax form, though it would be nice if it got an Evolution or a Mega.

Something else I forgot to mention is that Lapras has a gorgeous purple shiny.

@FX29 Leafeon is from Gen 4.

Easily Lapras.

They crossed a plesiosaur with a turtle and created an exceptionally beautiful monster design. I also feel like while a lot of Kanto Pokemon have some really washed out hues, Lapras has a soothingly vibrant shade of blue.

Hollow Knight: Silksong
I'm still in Act II and I have 2 out of 3 of the song pieces. There are a few areas I haven't finished exploring and a few wishes I haven't granted, so I'm going to be focusing on that. I'm loving this game and it refuses to get old.

Mario Kart World and Kirby Air Riders

I'm no pinball expert, but you mean to tell me that for $7000+, they couldn't paint the pinball to look like a Poke Ball?

I'd love to see all these games come to Switch in some capacity, but if I had to choose one, I would most want to see Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon in HD.

I'm not really into Sports games, and Mario Kart will always be the go-to for parties, so this'll be a pass from me.

@AlanaHagues There seems to be a typo in the 3rd paragraph. It says handheld performance reaches 600 Frames Per Second, which seems just a bit high.

I haven't finished Silksong yet, but I think I prefer it to Hollow Knight so far. The movement feels immaculate in comparison and the boss design is greatly improved, I think.

It's a solid soundtrack, but nothing to write home about. I liked the Autumn Mountain tracks.

Mario Kart World
As always, I'll play a few races. These past few days the online lobbies seem quite determined to annoy me because 3 days in a row I have been to Starview Peak and Boo Cinema (my most and 2nd most hated tracks, respectively) consecutively. Yesterday the track vote had Starview 3 times in a row. Please Mario Kart, no I don't want to see the stars.

Hollow Knight Nintendo Switch 2 Edition I downloaded right away since it's free. I played it for the first time last year, so I'll probably replay it in a few years.

I need to try the demos for Pragmata and The Adventures of Elliot before I decide on getting them.

For Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, I of course need to try out Remake before deciding on anything.

Nothing else interests me at all.

That "Let's Go" from Mario was so painful.

I'm glad Kirby Air Riders pretty consistently makes it into the charts.

For a partner showcase, this was pretty average for me. Some neat announcements for sure, but nothing really exciting.

My MicroSD card will run out of storage much sooner than expected, it seems.

I still need to play the demo.

Square Enix has some truly impressive optimization ability for Switch 2. The game looks great!

Despite already being announced, this was the highlight of the Direct for me.

Ports of Blue Prince and Clair Obscur would be nice, but what I'm really hoping for is some completely new games that are built for the Switch 2. Silksong DLC would be nice too.

Fun fact about Blacephalon: it doesn't have an outline around its head, making it look even more unlike other Pokemon designs.

Dang, it isn't even an Indie World combo. I hope we get a full direct in April, but I'm not holding my breath. I think this is a light year for Nintendo.

Yeah, I will not be buying this.
