Re: Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection Update Announced, Here Are The Patch Notes

Truegamer79

@SalvorHardin
Well excuuuuuuse me princess! I have been playing games for decades and i didn't notice anything game breaking or unplayable. I mean yeah the Gameboy games run like ass but they always did. I have the MK arcade collection on my PS3 and aside from never getting a connection online even when it was new it plays just as good as this latest compilation as far as i can tell. I'm used to games having issues and bugs. I grew up before online updates existed.

Re: Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection Update Announced, Here Are The Patch Notes

Truegamer79

Good news! I noticed several people are already tearing into the game on YouTube. They're saying it's horrible for some reason and telling people how unacceptable and broken it is. I honestly don't know what the hell They're talking about. Been having a great time with it myself and haven't experienced any of the so called issues.

I heard online wasn't working but I'm never gonna play online anyway. Don't feel like getting destroyed by some punk way more skilled than me. Never cared about online in the modern games either for that same reason.

At least they are working on fixing whatever problems it has but how about adding a few more games? At least Deadly alliance, Deception and Armageddon so we can have those on a modern platform.

Re: Review: Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection (Switch 2) - A Killer Kompilation, But Online Is A Mess At Launch

Truegamer79

It's quite a collection of games! Way better than the street fighter arcade collection. The Gameboy versions sure didn't age well. Can't believe i tolerated them way back in the day playing on the school bus while riding to school. They look like complete ass on my big 4K TV. Nice to finally be able to play MK 4 without having to dig out my N64. Would definitely like to try Gold as it's basically an expanded version.

We really need Deadly alliance, Deception and Armageddon to really make it feel complete. Then every MK before the modern games would be playable on current hardware.

What's everyone's opinion on the screen filters? Do you prefer them off or on?
I feel like they look too washed out and blurry.

Re: "Go Tell Nintendo" - Ex-Blizzard President Responds After Xbox Calls Exclusives "Antiquated"

@Bluelink45
Oh sure I've seen plenty of games on other platforms that had alot of obvious passion put into them but Nintendos first party titles just seem to have that something special that's missing from other developers games. It's their attitude towards gaming that i feel is unique. They want gaming to be fun for everyone. Kids, parents or even grandma.

With Sony and Microsoft it's like eh just make whatever sells. Guns, violence, the next copy paste open world 70 hour yawn fest. It's like they've got no ambition. No desire to create something people will remember that isn't just the same recycled generic crap.

Re: "Go Tell Nintendo" - Ex-Blizzard President Responds After Xbox Calls Exclusives "Antiquated"

Only Nintendo makes games the way they do. There's a certain charm and whimsy that only their games provide. I remember a time when they were so dominant in the industry that parents literally thought every video game was Nintendo. It was like the very word itself defined video game. I'd be playing Sega genesis and my mom would still holler up the stairs, (supper time! Shut off that Nintendo and come downstairs!)

Ah the 80s, Gaming was new and exciting. Parents had no clue what magical sorcery was taking over their kids minds and hearts.

These days it's all shoot this or cinematic realistic graphics that. In my day games were made with dedication and heart!

Truly it was a special time to be young!

Re: Nintendo Expands Switch 2's GameCube Library Next Week With A Spooky Classic

Truegamer79

Bought this and Rogue leader on day one when i bought my GameCube all the way back in November 2001. Man has it been that long? I stayed up all night alternating between games. I remember when I first booted up Luigis mansion. Couldn't believe what i was seeing! The graphical leap from N64 to GameCube was insane! The lightning flashed in the main lobby of the mansion and my jaw hit the floor!

Speaking of Luigis mansion i usually marathon the whole trilogy around this time every year and I'm doing it again. Here's hoping for Luigis mansion 4! Haunted amusement park anyone?

Re: Ninja Gaiden 4 And Ragebound Clash In Stunning New Artwork

Truegamer79

As a switch fan i will still be getting in on the action since i do have a PS5. However this game better eventually be on switch 2. I see nothing holding it back. Heck some reviewers are even comparing it to a PS3 game so it's not exactly hardware demanding. I know Itagaki didn't have involvement in this but surely his spirit will be felt by people while playing this. RIP man, you were a Rockstar of gaming!

@HingryHuppo

Honestly I hate those dumb trophies. Yeah great for people who need that reassurance but in my day we made up our own. We'd try to beat a game without dying, kill a boss without taking any hits etc.

Now kids need a ping saying congratulations you opened a door or yay you found a key!

If i see one more thread begging Nintendo to add trophies to switch games I'm gonna scream. 😠

Re: Team Ninja Founder And Industry Veteran Tomonobu Itagaki Has Passed Away

Truegamer79

Didn't know he created dead or alive. All I knew of his work was that he basically resurrected Ninja gaiden with the modern series in 2004. I remember people were so down on the 3rd one because he wasn't involved in making it. The game actually isn't that bad if you're talking about the retooled Razors edge version.

I know he had nothing to do with Ninja gaiden 4 but i bet while making it the developers tried their best to emulate Itagakis style and make it more like the first two games. Obviously the legacy lives on.

This man definitely left his mark on gaming. I'll play some dead or alive and remember him while playing Ninja gaiden 4.

Re: Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound Celebrates Ninja Gaiden 4 With A Free Yakumo Skin

Truegamer79

I see no excuse why Ninja gaiden 4 couldn't come to switch 2 eventually. Good thing i have a PS5 anyway but yeah the original three are playable on switch with master collection. Also can someone tell me why The other Nes games never came to Nintendo online? We got the first one but not NG 2 Dark sword of chaos or Ancient ship of doom. What gives?

Re: Review: Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Switch) - Still Out Of This World

Truegamer79

Before anyone whines about the price consider this, buying both originally would've cost you over 120 dollars total. At 70 now it's like buying only one of the games back in the day. These are 4k versions with extra features not in the originals. Even the first game on mario 3D all stars for switch didn't look as good.

If you can't handle the price get out of gaming while you can. It's only gonna get worse every generation.

Re: Resident Evil Requiem Gameplay On Switch 2 Emerges From Tokyo Game Show

Truegamer79

Still never played through 8. Better get on that I guess but at least switch 2 is getting legit versions of RE7 and 8. Finally no cloud crap. Nintendo gamers aren't be left behind with switch 2 and it's about damn time! Still there might be some catching up to do.

Still wondering if we're getting MGS 3 delta and Ninja Gaiden 4. I mean those should be possible right?

Re: Switch 2 Gets Its Flowers At The Japan Game Awards 2025

@Bunkerneath
Those people who didn't know Wii U was a new console still confuse me. I mean if you were into gaming in the first place how did you not know? Do some research or watch a video or something. As a gamer practically since birth i like to keep informed on what's new in gaming. I knew as soon as it was public information.

As for those prices yeah you tell em! OMG 80 dollars for a video game!?

Uh were you not hearing your parents back in the day refusing to buy you every game you wanted because of the prices? I sure didn't get every game i asked for unless maybe on Christmas or birthdays if I was lucky. Must've been nice to be a spoiled brat in the 90s. I wouldn't know.

Re: Nintendo Is "Acting To Protect The Industry" With Switch 2 Game Key Cards, Says Ex-Capcom Composer

Truegamer79

At first I was like nope, never buying a key card game. Eventually I decided Meh whatever I'll be too old to care by the time these key cards no longer work. I mean digital downloads of games I already purchased on Wii are still available and that system stopped being relevant years ago.

Switch 2 just came out so don't know why anyone's worrying about the big nintendo online shutdown. We're talking several years from now if the servers even shut down at all.
