I'm confused about that one. I heard ark of whatever it's called is supposed to be an MMO type game. Is that right or can you play single player?

What good are those eggconsole releases if nobody in America can play them? They put them on the NA Eshop and didn't bother translating them. Seriously?

Anyway it sure would be nice if the switch 2 finally got a propper collection of the first two entries as well as YS IV, V, VI and VII.

As for the rest I'm really interested in origins and plan on getting Oath to Felghana at some point. I started YS VIII a while back but got sidetracked playing other stuff. I should really get back to that but i kinda want to play them in order.

I still would have wanted it even if it hadn't been spoiled. I've been following Nintendo since day one and I'm not gonna lose interest now. The actually naming it switch 2 threw me off though. Guess they didn't wanna risk naming it something stupid that everyone would hate. Plus the switch was such a success they figured if it ain't broke etc etc.

Now can we just get a price, release date and a list of launch titles?

Why would they be upset if all the leaks are BS made up by desperate fools fishing for clicks? What if everything that's leaked is all wrong? It'll be funny if there's no announcement today since everyone is so sure there will be.

I remember people complaining when it came out on Wii. Oh it's just a 2-D sidescroller. It's so primitive and platformers are dead etc etc. It's not the latest big budget masterpiece like call of duty or whatever so I'm not paying 50 bucks and so forth.

Seems like 2-D platformers have been getting scoffed at since the N64 days. As if they are lame relics of yesteryear.

Well you can either go bananas if you've never played it or go ape over the price. I went ahead and blew the 60 dollars but somehow i feel like i got robbed. Oh well I've wasted more money on stupider things. 🤷‍♂️

It is an excellent game make no mistake about that. It just sucks that Nintendo always jacks up prices of games just because of a little HD polish and acts like it's a totally new 60 dollar game. Oh well. If you've never played it do not hesitate. Get it! Otherwise wait for a sale.

Oh I'm excited sure! Maybe this coming gen Nintendo gamers won't have to feel like they're barely getting by while everyone else is leaving them looking like chumps.

I never get too hyped for a system until it's got more than 10 or so games I'm dying to play and i find out if i can afford it. 😏

Making daily articles about it isn't gonna make it come out any sooner. Just be glad you might get another year with switch. Then you can chuck that sucker in the trash like i know you all can't wait to do!

Enjoy the initial launch period of mostly PS4 ports that switch couldn't handle last gen. Looking forward to Mario galaxy 3! Zelda Tears of my wallet and Donkey kong going Bananas!

It is a great game but there's plenty of other games that i could be buying at that price that are actually new or something I've never played. Though i must say it will be nice not to have to dig out my Wii to play that one.

Remember when it was being announced by the end of the fiscal year? Now it's sometime this fiscal year. What the heck is a fiscal year anyway? Just say it'll be out sometime between now and when hell freezes over, sheesh!

I don't know about the file size but that price is pretty dang big for a game that came out in 2010!

Well i kinda counted the jungle beat game since it was at the time a new DK platformer. Then wii got DKC returns, Wii U Tropical freeze but switch nothing but remakes/re releases.

I don't think the next system will likely get a smash bros either. Besides how do you top smash ultimate or Mario kart 8 anyway? I don't see that happening.

Well that was a major mistake. I still have my launch Wii with over 300 games purchased from VC and guess what? They still work just fine and nobody can take them away from me. Switch online dies eventually and all those games will dissappear.

Therefore as far as retro collecting goes Wii is far better. Plus if you mod your wii the options increase exponentially. Either that or just hack an Nes/Snes mini. Excuse me i gotta go hug my mini systems. Thank goodness i grabbed them up when they were hot!

Yeah bring back the VC Nintendo! I'd gladly pay for the games if you'd let me but noooo! Let's lock retro goodness behind an overpriced pay wall instead and force people to resort to other means. Real smart. 😏

We've had three re releases of old ass DK games on switch and not a single new game released. I believe this is the first console generation of Nintendos where not a single new DK game was made for the current system. Would somebody please get the Ape outta retirement?

Oh and get your checkbooks out cause you'll be foaming at the mouth for overpriced PS4 ports of games everyone else already played 4 to 8 years ago!

Of course it will since the switch 2 isn't what it'll be called anyway. Besides that how is an established system that already has a vast library not gonna outsell a system that as far as we know may not even have 15 games at launch?

I'm sick of hearing about what could be or what may me a look at whatever the switch successor will be. Just reveal the damn thing already so people can stop it with this crap! Surely it's not actually gonna be called switch 2 either because it would be the first time in history that Nintendo gave their next system a Boring predictable numbered title. That's Sonys thing not Nintendo.

God just get on with it already! The media and Rumor mills will have this thing revealed before Nintendo at this rate.

Can we just get a collection of all the early main games localized already? I'd love to be able to play the whole series on switch.

Never put mine on since the day i took it outta the box on launch day. I was hearing horror stories about people snapping them on and getting them stuck so i just never used them.

Besides I'm not so damn clumsy that I'd throw my remote across the room and smash my TV. I thought that was pretty stupid even in the Wii days.

Wasn't sure if Nioh was exclusive but yeah switch needs to be let go. It had a good run. Nintendo really better step up their game next gen. Tired of always worrying that the next big title might not be possible on Nintendos hardware. I miss playing with power.

Thrilled about Ragebound coming soon but what else could possibly be announced that would be anything to get excited about?

The NG master collection already came out a while back. I suppose the Nioh collection releasing on Switch might be cool. I'm sure people would be foaming at the mouth for Metroid other M switch edition LOL 😉.

Still hoping we haven't seen the last of modern Ninja gaiden. Been a long time since there was a new game released.

Now why can't they get his games to sell like that? Make a new game that sells that good then I'll be impressed.

I wish they'd just make a complete YS collection already. At least of the first 7 games. Tired of trying to figure out which system had each game or which ones have translations available. I don't get why they didn't want to release them in America initially.

Played one once at a k mart where they had a display set up and once a guy i knew in a group home had one. I tried it out both times for about 10 minutes and had to stop. All the red was giving me a splitting headache. Also the controllers were really weird. Even more worse than N64.

You're better off just emulating a few games. I remember vividly when blockbuster video used to rent out the games. It lasted about a month before they started to dissappear off the face of the earth. Stores dumped them before most people even knew it existed.

Don't count your chickens. They could always back pedal and delay it further. Hope I'm wrong.

Sure they're decent but no where near as good as the mario movie. Glad Sonic is getting a little more love these days. Now let's see a new game that gets high marks all around. Still hasn't happened yet.

Shouldn't it be the other way around? I remember when everyone was waiting for Wii U, Switch and a few other systems where their share prices were dropping because everyone was getting impatient that Nintendo hadn't made any announcements yet. Like oh no all is lost! Nintendoomed!

All those analysts saying Nintendo was done for if they didn't hurry up and reveal something. Why the excitement this time?

If it's at least on par with a PS4 pro that might be acceptable but the way third party games are so half assed on switch they gotta make the next system capable to handle just about anything developers could throw at it. Otherwise nobody will want to buy third party games on their next system.

Nintendo needs to just make with the announcement already. I bet all these rumors are total BS. They did say it would be revealed by the end of the fiscal year and that's real close.

I'll be sad to see the switch go but honestly it's been time for a while now. I just got a copy of MK 1 for switch and the graphics compared to PS5 look like ass. I mean i figured it would but damn! Nintendo really needs to step it up with the power on their next system. Make us feel like we're playing with power again!

I hope the switch successor isn't just a portable PS4 with a bunch of PS4 ports at launch and a mario game or two. It needs to be a beast or it'll be a joke right outta the gate.

I don't care who leaked what image or who made a 3d print of whatever. I'm not buying any of these stories until something is made official by Nintendo. Sometimes the internet really sucks. It'll get here when it gets here. Meantime I've got games already out on their current hardware to play.

I don't suppose the new display options include allowing the main gameplay screen to fully fill the screen while having the map be separate and accessible with the press of a button?

That would be the best option so the map doesn't have to take up part of the screen.

I noticed there's no power up orbs floating in the background. Kinda odd not having them but maybe they have another setup for those.

The original was one of the most beautiful yet underrated games I've ever played! Time to replay it!

Love Transformers devastation! Never got that sequel i was hoping for either. Definitely an underrated gem!

Power rangers was a bit beyond my childhood years so i always thought it was kinda corny. My thing was TMNT and before that Voltron/Transformers.

Now if someone wants to make an awesome Voltron or Transformers beat em up I'd be all over that!

I might just be all over this! I always dreamed of a new Ninja gaiden in the old retro Nes style! The messenger scratched that itch quite well a few years back!

What's wrong with a PS2 game feeling very 2002? Seems about right to me. This isn't a full on remake.

Kinda sad that this game didn't meet sales expectations. Guess the series will go into another long hibernation. It's really good and probably now considered a switch hidden gem! Maybe they should have gone for a fully 3D game like SOT. Hard to top those. I still get them out once in a while.

DK really needs a new game. A DKC game, a 3D platformer or anything that isn't a remake/remaster. Nintendos main monkey is a moldy old banana at this point. Come on Nintendo give Mario a break and show some love for DK!
