I love that's it's actually all on the cart! Good on them for supporting physical games! Too bad the sequel probably isn't coming to switch 2. Yeah it's a big upgrade from the original but still it's the most underpowered current gen system available. I'm sure Sony and Microsoft fans are still laughing at us. Oh boy you've finally joined the PS4 era Nintendorks! Lol!

Yes but how many of us gaming then knew or gave a damn what framerate was? We were blissfully ignorant and probably just wanted to be playing videogames. I guess gamers today are alot more technically minded and knowledgable than they were in those days.

I was just amazed i could make a little video character bend to my will with the press of a few buttons. I said to myself, what sourcery is this?! That's what got me into gaming. The amazement and wonder of it all.

The guy in the video says it's glorious on switch 2. How so? I keep staring at it and I'm not seeing a difference. The game always looked glorious what the heck is he talking about?

Yeah and how bout those corny live action videos on ps1 games with real actors? Bad ones too. If you asked my friend he'd say they were cinematic gold LOL!

I had a friend that swore up and down Playstation was better than N64 cause games were on disc and it could do FMVs. Oh and apparently Nintendo was for babies.

It's just funny to me how everyone expects absolute perfection with their games now but i don't recall kids on the playground in the 90s going... Gee wiz Timmy have you played Super Mario world! Nah ill pass said billy. I heard it doesn't run at 60 FPS. 😝

Even before that first patch i never noticed a huge issue with the framerate in Links awakening. Seemed okay to me. Then again i played the original gameboy version and nobody even talked about framerate when that came out.

Anybody else never really like the standard joycons? I just feel the pro controller feels way more natural and the joycons are just way too small for my lumberjack sized hands. At least the switch 2 joycons are bigger. Maybe I'll like them better. They better not drift constantly either. Did Nintendo ever say if they fixed that issue for switch 2?

Yeah i just don't care for that generic rap garbage. They used it for the trailers for the last two mortal kombat games like they think everyone just loves it. I think games should have game music.

I miss when street fighter games didn't have cheesy rap music for the character select screen but real tunes actually created by developers who made an effort to create something original.

This is one game i may still buy physically on switch 2 despite being a key card. I do already own it on PS4 so technically i do actually own the game and not just a digital download of it anyway.

I just like having a new Street fighter on a Nintendo system which hasn't been a thing for quite a while. Nintendo never got Street fighter 4 and V was only on 3ds and it was a pretty lame version at that. The backgrounds were still images with no animation whatsoever.

I never say goodbye to my old systems. I just say see ya later. I'll play with you again when i wanna relive the games and the fun i had with them. There's always a place in my home for all my children even if they're old and forgotten.

People may call me a hoarder and say why keep a bunch of old systems but hey those old systems got me through some tough times and brought me lots of joy! Plus my house ain't so tiny that i can't make room for 10 or 20 of my favorite things.

So is it basically a pre applied screen protector?

I never buy those cause it's almost impossible to put one on any device with a screen without getting some little spec of dust or tiny hair trapped underneath it before it's applied.
I'm a little OCD when it comes to that and if i saw one little piece of something that wasn't supposed to be there I'd freak out and ripp it back off. Drives me crazy! Same if i see one nick or scratch on the screen.

I don't know why I'd wanna play wind waker on Nintendo switch 2 online when i can play it in full HD and widescreen on my Wii U as well as Twilight princess. I mean sure i won't have to break out my Wii U but I'd prefer the best looking version honestly. Don't see what's so difficult about offering a widescreen option for switch online.

Besides that they really need to consider letting us buy the games if we'd like. I mean charge 10 to 15 dollars a game and everyone is happy. Guess Nintendo doesn't want to make a few extra bucks. Oh well their loss.

Still got my original copy! Gamecube what a system! I just loved those little mini discs and how cute and compact it was. First time i booted up Luigis mansion i couldn't believe my eyes. I was like wow now that's impressive! Anyone else asking themselves how could that have been all the way back in 2001? Sure doesn't feel like that long ago.

Every videogame ever made is a cash grab. They're made to get you to empty your wallet. Sadly some really bad ones still made tons of money anyway. (Every call of duty ever.) Cough Cough!

It is strange that there still hasn't been an MK collection other than the original trilogy on psn. Surely someone would want MK Deadly alliance, Deception, Armageddon and MK vs DC in HD. I feel like MK X was the peak of the modern series. It was dark like MK 2 and probably had the coolest roster and fatalities.
MK 11 was still good but i missed the x ray moves and the character banter before rounds seemed less clever and not as well thought out.

It had a good run. Time to move on. No sense beating a dead horse.

I bought the collection on psn years ago but never really played through them. Out of curiosity what was wrong with the third? I thought everyone was thrilled they made a third one.

Yeah i guess people that have stuck with only Nintendo probably aren't used to 80 dollar games but everyone else has been charging that much for a while now. Most high profile PS5 Games are that price and that's before any potential dlc. If money is an issue for someone they might wanna find a cheaper hobby.

Gaming costs money. Sometimes a whole lot.

This will get everyone fired up saying oh so we're paying 80 dollars for a game that could have been 60 on switch. Then Rockstar had to chime in with their gta 6 will actually be worth it cause sex, violence and drugs you know. Kids love that stuff. Makes em feel like big boys and girls herp a derp! 😝

That explains why switch never got it's own dedicated Mario kart and just an enhanced version of 8 with extra dlc tracks. At least smash on switch wasn't just a rehash of the one on Wii U.

I think it fits way better with the goofy childlike wonder that Nintendo has always had in their games. Yall act like they made DK into a monster or something like the scary drawing of Harry from Harry and the Hendersons with the fangs and sharp teeth.

DK doesn't have to forever look like his DKC counterpart. Though i wonder how he'd look if they actually made a new DKC game.

I'm still mad about Doom the Dark ages on PS5. They're essentially making you pay for a drink coaster if you buy physical. Bet a switch 2 release would surely be another key card. Count me out!

Whatever, never cared about the specs of Game systems. I just wanna know What games are coming and are they fun to play. Let the developers worry about the specs. I'm just a guy who wants to enjoy videogames.

The end credits song is still burned into my brain from the very first time i beat it. That and the bowser battle theme. I used to try recording it on my cassette player back in the day. I did that for alot of games with awesome soundtracks. Made me a whole videogame mix tape once. People thought i was nuts.

I thought switch 2 would finally break the cycle of Nintendo systems being a joke to third parties but with this key card crap the jokes on us. Either they can't get the whole game on the cart or they just flat don't care to try. Not much different than the cloud version games on original switch. 🤦‍♂️

It would be really nice if the original Mario kart were Playable without the split screen. That always bothered me. F-zero had the full screen with no split crap and it was older. How is it that mario kart had to do it that way?

Good on them for putting the entire game on the card and none of that key card nonsense! I'll definitely support them in the future if they keep doing that. I was really close to buying it on PS5 but now I'm going for the switch 2 version.

Yes but i didn't really get into Tomb raider until Legend released on gamecube. I always felt like the original games were too primitive and the controls were confusing and frustrating. Even when they first came out i wasn't impressed. Years later i finally played through them but i used video guides on YouTube to make it less of a chore.

Heh remember miiverse? What a disaster that was. Kids making rude disgusting comments, perverts trying to get numbers of unsuspecting girls for their sick purposes and all the dirty drawings being posted. Now they wanna do video chatting in games? Oh lord!

They should do something to improve the load times. Game seems rather buggy too. Several times the game got locked up and had to be reset.

Well i should certainly hope so. It would be pretty stupid if it didn't considering they just announced the first one for switch 2. 🤦‍♂️

I've actually been playing that recently. It's basically a Zelda clone but with Star fox characters. It's really good too and probably the best looking game to ever release on gamecube! Kind of an underrated gem.

Yep that's the one. I abandoned the game back in the day because the difficulty was just too much. Regular races i can handle but story mode seemed impossible. Otherwise it's a fun game though. I'm eager to give it another go.

Hope switch 2 brings back some dead franchises. Star fox, F-zero, punch out and whatever happened to Goemon? A new kid Icarus or port of uprising would be sweet!

Never could finish story mode. The game is great but it's brutally difficult as i recall. Story mode especially. Either that or i just suck at racers.

I accidentally bought some fake Joycons once. I tried to use them on the controller attachment thing only to discover they weren't connecting wirelesly to my switch. Plus they barely fit onto the controller. You had to really force them like they weren't even the right size. come to find out they weren't wireless at all and only worked
while attached to the switch itself.

I was so mad. Should have figured something was off when the price was so low. You don't get true Joycons for no 25 dollars a piece. The real ones are expensive.
