I always thought life force was way cooler than regular gradius. You're basically flying around inside the body of a huge snake and the bosses are nightmare fuel! Can't wait to try Salamander 3! I'm not the best at shooters but i still never get tired of them.

Yeah life force on Nes is awesome! Killer soundtrack! The songs are permanently burned into my brain.

Yeah that's the one i was thinking of. I don't think it had Gradius 3 but it did have the first Salamander.

Only got excited for Metroid Prime 4 and the Gradius collection though pretty sure a collection already exists on switch. The rest was lame. Bring on switch 2!

I hate how all these really cool retro throwback type games are limited run. Any excuse to make us feel forced to buy it at ridiculous prices or deal with scalpers later on. Then they'll go for even more ridiculous prices than they already are now.

That almost works but Snake man's primary weakness isn't spark man's. It's needle man. Mega 8 is a little screwy too. I usually start with Tengu man but by the time you get to the second set of bosses you'll be missing the best weapon for one of those two. You won't already have the weakness weapon for Sword man, Astro man, Search man or Aqua man. One of them has to be fought with just the buster. Astro man seems easiest without exploiting a weakness.

Saw one of the movies and as a fan of horror i was nauseated and disgusted. I mean i like Freddy, Chucky, Michael and all that but this... Ugh! Haven't felt so sick to my stomach since the saw movies. They aren't scary anymore. They're just gross. Whatever makes people vomit all over the themselves i guess. 🤮

Nope his weakness is Gemini laser. The problem is as soon as you fire it the extreme slowdown kicks in then your lucky if he doesn't kill you by the time you actually land a hit.

True Top man is an easy first choice. You go Top, Shadow, Spark, Magnet, Hard but then you get hard knuckle but that's no good for Gemini, Needle or snake. See what i mean?

One thing that puts mega man 3 below 2 for me is that part 3 doesn't have a clear boss weakness order. No matter what order you choose you won't be equipped with the right weapon for at least one of the bosses. You'll have to use the buster. It's really weird. Every other game does have a boss order that works well but not MM 3. Also the last 4 bosses before Wilys castle are just the same robot using boss abilities from Mega man 2 bosses. Kinda lame honestly. Oh and the insane slowdown especially during bosses sucks on the Nes original.

I noticed one of his outfits is Stryker from MK 9. Pretty cool! Might has to give T2 another watch. I was 12 when it came out and man the hype was real! Robert Patrick nailed it! Love all his Cameos in other movies as T1000 too. Last action Hero, Wayne's world etc.

Yes and this game still looks like ass on Switch. People be talking about a decent port. I'm like yeah if you enjoy vomiting from your eyes. I have it on Both switch and PS5 and it's night and day. Like playing on Gameboy compared to Snes. Yuck!

I need to get back to these. I was attempting a marathon but got side tracked playing other stuff. What is the concensus on the pixel remasters vs original versions? Which is truly better? It seems the remasters should correct everything wrong with the initial releases right?

I got them digital but I'm tempted to get the physical collection provided all games are included on cart. Is that the case?

Well glad i didn't get the two pack from a while ago. Now can we get back to making Mega man games? You know X9 is still something to consider. Still butthurt over MM Legends 3 cancelation and where the hell is Mega man 12?

Sometimes the past should be left in the past. You're better off just buying a used PS1, GameCube or PS2 if you wanna play those old Tony hawk games. At least back then they were made with Quality.

If it can help suppress those horrible memories of the T2 Nes and Snes games or that God awful Total recall game it's gotta be good!

I swear it's like the developers of those old games never saw the movie or had no idea how to make a competent licensed videogame.

I saw a listing on ebay for an entire set of amiibo cards for BOTW. Every single one that has functionality with the game. They work just like regular amiibos only they're little tiny cards instead of amiibos.

I just have to ask how are they getting away with selling these? Isn't selling bootleg stuff supposed to be against the rules on eBay or whatever?

PS6 my God! It feels like i barely got a PS5 and we're talking about the next one already? Ever Wish technology would slow the hell down?

My switch kinda has sentimental value. My dad bought it for me on launch day for no reason at all. He just knew i was into gaming and took me to gamestop and bought it. I told him he didn't have to but he said it's fine. He passed away about four years ago so it's kinda my last gift i ever got from him.

I just never got around to actually finishing any of these games. I played every game in the series but somehow other games just pull my attention away. I really gotta get these played through one of these days. Might get working on that soon and this time ill actually be finishing them hopefully.

Seriously though yeah I'm definitely having bad flashbacks of the Snes T2 game. Looks like we are finally getting a T2 game done right. The one we should have got in the first place.

I never played much of this back in the day but what i did play seemed pretty sweet. I'll finally get this one played through now. It is the year of the Ninja after all. I might wanna play cyber shadow and the messenger later too.

Nope. I still have my Nes that i had when i was 6 and i never get rid of old game systems anyway. I know you can just emulate or whatever but something about having the actual machine that originally played the games gives me a warm fuzzy nostalgic feeling. They are my super happy fun time joy machines!

I know they were popular don't get me wrong but i really couldn't figure out why. It sure wasn't the graphics or controls.

If you want to be honest none of these games were all that thrilling even when they were new. Not even the original. Largely due to those clunky controls and ugly graphics even for 1996 standards. Sad thing is the controls though awful are the only way i can play them. The modern controls are even worse.

I couldn't get into Tomb raider until they rebooted the series with Legend, Anniversary and Underworld. At least those don't feel like a
massive chore to play. The newest Trilogy feels more like an Uncharted clone.

Shake it should have been higher on the list. Loved that game!

Yes exactly. You're the first person I've seen mention switching the cockpit view with a simple button press! I swear it's like nobody bothered to play it long enough to figure that out. All the reviewers like IGN and even Nintendolife never mentioned it in their reviews.

Definitely! I like to own my games and on the Wii i do own my VC games because they weren't tied to a subscription service that will eventually die. Biggest mistake of the switch.

Star fox zero should have been ported to switch. That game gets way too much hate. Heck it would be nice to see any Star fox on switch. Not Nintendo online either. One you can actually own that's not tied to a subscription.

Awesome! I might have to play some classic Shinobi games while i wait. Anyone know which current platforms might have the original arcade game or Shadow Dancer? I think Revenge of Shinobi and Shinobi 3 might be on Nintendo online but I'm not sure.

Also if any of you remember there was a pretty sweet Shinobi game on 3DS but i don't think it was real popular. Shame too cause it's actually really good. Sort of a hidden gem.

Never heard of these and I've been gaming since 1985. May have to look into them. Speaking of Sega Saturn is that system worth owning? I always wanted either a Dreamcast or a Saturn.

I'll probably be double dipping eventually. Now we just need a Legend, Anniversary and Underworld compilation. Then the newest Trilogy.

Sony used to steal so many things from Nintendo, their controller design, the rumble pack, PSP which was basically their answer to gameboy so yeah Nintendo is returning the favor with the switch 2 name. Sony is still mad about that whole backing out of the contract with Nintendo thing. 😉

If this'll be how it is going forward then can't wait for switch 3! Lol whatever. I thought naming their systems something unique is what set Nintendo apart from the rest but i suppose numbering it is the safer option. At least it's not Switch U or Gamesphere or something like that.

Good game! I know it got alot of hate but i still liked most of it. Pretty annoying sometimes though. BURN BURN BURN! BURN TO THE GROUND! 😉

Hoping for something Mega man. It's been too long since Mega man 11. Heck I'll take Mega man X9. Resident Evil should be about due for a new one as well.

Oh yeah totally forgot about that. I'm right about DKC returns though.

One thing i never liked about these newer DKC games is you can't play single player as just Diddy or just Dixie alone. Also miss the jam sessions with Diddys boom box or Dixies guitar when you cleared a level.

Honestly they need to just focus on software and give up on consoles. They just don't have the kind of exclusives that Sony and Nintendo do. Anyone who really wants to play stuff made by Microsoft can just do it on their high end PCs if they're that hopped up on hardware.

One day they really should just have a system that can play everything. Wouldn't it have been stupid if you couldn't play certain dvds back in the day unless you had three or four different branded players? Why do we need so many different game systems to play anything we want? I always thought that was silly.

A sequel would be awesome! I just wasn't crazy about those stealth sections. I might have to play through this again sometime.

Well I'll be a Ninjas uncle! Never thought I'd see the day. This better come to switch 2! I wonder if all three of these Ninja gaiden games will get black version remakes?

Well i bought it so i can have Tropical freeze and DKC returns on the same system and because it's still the same game i already love. Not gonna say i was happy about the price but whatever it's only money. 😝

It's still just as good as it ever was and all those complaints about the assets or minor graphical differences from Wii are ridiculous. I mean come on unless you're really nitpicking you won't even notice but this site sure wrote up a big drawn out article about it.

The only problem is that price. An HD remaster of a Wii game shouldn't cost 60 dollars. That was just plain greedy. It's still an excellent game and a must have If you've never played. If that price bothers you so much stick with the Wii version or buy a used copy if you don't already own it.

Yeah and you guys at Nintendolife couldn't wait to tell us how Nintendos shares dipped after the announcement. All is lost! All is lost! 😉

See everything will be fine. This thing once it's out in the world will sell like hotcakes and the doubters and naysayers will eat crow!

Yeah i don't do MMOs. That's why i skipped Final fantasy 11 and 14. Big mistake making main games MMOs. Should've been spin offs.
