I hear the eldin ring nightrein game is really geared towards multiplayer and was getting alot of negative reviews. Is this accurate or is it just overblown?

I still don't get the crying about the latest update. I couldn't care less. I was playing Mario kart before online even existed. I'm perfectly happy playing by myself. Online people are just way better than me so i don't enjoy it.

Only systems i ever pre ordered was GameCube and switch 2. The others i was able to just walk in the store on launch day and buy one.

Doesn't it always? Don't remember a Nintendo system launch except maybe Wii U where you didn't have to bite, scratch and scream to get your console. No surprise there.

Just ordered cyberpunk! Never played it before so this should be fun. Considering Yakuza but definitely digital. No key cards for me thanks. The rest is meh until DK Bonanza.

Who cares unless they add new tracks or characters. I don't play online anyway. It's not fun when i never win. I consider myself a decent Mario kart player. Been playing these since the original but i get destroyed going online. Same with fighting games. I'd rather just enjoy it on my own or with friends locally.

Maybe I'm an old fart but playing these type of games was more fun when you could trash talk eachother face to face. Not on some video screen.

I remember the Mario references in Metal gear solid twin snakes and i think the 3DS version of MGS 3 had them too. I've actually just recently been getting into death stranding. Just started playing the first one. It's actually more than a walking simulator. Eventually there's combat and bosses too. The story is bat crap crazy though. Only Kojima 😏

Seriously though i was really on the fence with death stranding. Alot of people talked like it was just UPS guy delivers packages in a post apocalyptic world but yeah that's simplifying it a bit. If you haven't tried it you should.

I'm sure they've already got the next mario nearly ready for reveal. Just chill people. It's Mario. Nintendos main man. You really think they're just gonna sit on it and make you wait long? Gamecube didn't launch with a Mario game either. Sunshine came out several months later.

Well really i meant because the games are reliant on an internet connection no matter if it's key card or cloud. You can't even download the key card games in the first place to play them without it.

Yeah if all they're gonna do is the key card crap might as well do a cloud version. Same damn thing basically. If they wanna do it for real get FF 15 on switch 2. Heck I'd even take FF 13.

I know all about that. For me it was MJ and weird AL. I have all their albums. I'd also get bullied for my Choice of game consoles. All the way from N64 is for babies up to Wii is for Weiners. Then i became a True gamer and said you know what? Gaming is for gamers and that's me. I don't care who made it or how flashy the graphics are. Gaming is what i do. I'll game on anything from any era made by any company who's games look fun!

It is nice having gamecube games on switch 2 but they need to hurry up and add more. It's the slow drip of releases that really drags down the service. On Wii VC games were added every single week. Now on switch online you're lucky if new stuff is added once every 3 months.

Still think gamecube is one of my all time favorites! Loved the little discs, the library was awesome and it was cool how it had a handle like a little lunch box.

If i didn't still have my entire original collection I'd be pretty annoyed you can't buy the games rather than just having them locked under a paid subscription.

Think I'll order me a purple gamecube. Never had one before. My OG is actually the Jet black one. Still works too!

I used to hold my boom box up to the TV to record videogame music. I did Mario 64, Sonic 2, Mega man. Those auto reverse walkmans i mentioned are expensive now on ebay. Saw one for 200 dollars 🤯

Yep It did! That would have been about 1992 or 93 i believe. I felt like i was living In the future! No other kid in my neighborhood had one.

I still own a few cassette tapes. Mostly movie soundtracks. The one from Tmnt 1990, Back to the future, Batman 89, (alot of Prince on there) and Transformers 86.

When i was 12 my mom bought me one of those Walkmans where you didn't have to flip the tape over. It just automatically would play the tape in reverse and the opposite side would play. You could even flip it manually with a little switch. I thought it was the coolest thing ever!

Same birthday i got a gameboy with Mario land 2 six golden coins!

I hear MK 1 and Crash insane trilogy among others are now compatible ever since the latest update. Last time i tried to transfer it to my switch 2 it said the DLC was unavailable for purchase. Supposedly it's fixed now but i haven't checked it out yet. I'll probably be doing that later today.

I do plan to get Yakuza eventually but sadly it's a key card so it's digital for me or not at all. That'll be how I'll be buying switch 2 games from now on. No game on cart, no cart.

Well maybe third parties should stop going the key card route and games will sell. Switch 2 just came out and everybody but Nintendo aside from CD projekt red is shoving key cards down our throats. Can't imagine why they aren't selling.

The Pauline reveal was super cute! Makes the game look even more fun! The transformations are cool too! Zebra and ostrich DK had me going...Say whaaaat?

Game is going to be awesome no doubt! Can't wait to see what they do with Mario and Zelda next!

Loved the Pauline reveal! Makes perfect sense. She was in the original DK and Odyssey after all. People were expecting Kremlings but i won't mind if they're not there. I suddenly feel like playing Mario kart world as Pauline now.

Definitely getting this game!

I always thought Bowser sounded like cookie monster in that game.

I remember one thing they pulled off back then. Convincing people that bowser might not have been in the game. Nothing was ever shown of him in the trailers. It was this big secret.

Heck go for it! Already got it on PS5 but I'd buy it again! Let's face it i don't think we're getting anymore Bayonetta. We were lucky to even get the third one.

It's better than watching some YouTube video where some guy talks the whole time telling lame jokes and showing you where to go to find the koroks. That reviewer who complained about zelda notes and how it breaks immersion must normally play videogames to review them while having no interference whatsoever from the outside world. Must be nice having no other obligations or distractions and you're normally able to fully immerse yourself in a videogame.

I found zelda notes to be rather handy and expansive. Kinda gives the game a fresh feel.

On my insignia TV the test pattern never looks right. Both images look exactly the same and fade at the same time no matter how i adjust the sliders. My TV doesn't have an HGIG setting. I'm not sure if my TVs HDR tone mapping should be on or off but i can never seem to get the best looking image.

Stupid is as stupid does. Mess around with mods on a new system and you get banned. Yeah your roms might be copies of games you legally own but playing them on your switch 2 is not okay and only a fool would attempt it.

LOL isn't that every high profile game not made by Nintendo? It's like Nintendo makes games you actually play. The other guys make interactive movies.

I mean try to name the most cutscene heavy game made specifically by Nintendo. I'm struggling to think of it myself.

If it is red dead redemption 2 for switch 2 bring it on! The first was released on the original switch so why not? Hey Rockstar why not get the other gta games that never made it to Nintendo as well. A collection of Gta IV and V perhaps?

Perhaps soon I'll do a playthrough of the series in her honor. I just recently bought the trilogy. Condolences to the family.

On all the other Games I'd just go for first place overall. If the stars aren't gold or i didn't quite get first place in a single course whatever. Just want the trophies and first overall for a cup.

I'll be playing my first switch 2 game that isn't a port of an old game today so I'll let you know how i like it then. Got mario kart world on it's way this morning! Getting cyberpunk very soon.

Haven't been this excited for a game release close to launch since mario Sunshine came out shortly after the gamecube launch. Plus it's the first new DK game in 11 years!

If it's not a key card I'll buy physical. Any game getting the key card treatment will be a digital download for me. I'm not buying an empty piece of plastic just because they can't be bothered to put it on the cartridge.

Guess power and graphics are finally not people's biggest priority when buying game systems. Aww gamers are finally growing up! Almost brings a tear to this misty eyed old fart.

I mean really if ultra super high bleeding edge technology is your thing get a PC. Join that master race and let the gamers have their consoles.

I knew a guy who had a fenced in yard with a security gate who ordered a TV once and the delivery guy just threw it over the top cause nobody was home to open the gate.

I heard gamestop was stapling receipts to the switch 2 box and putting puncture holes in people's screens before they even got it home. 😡

I have the game on PS5 and switch. Comparing the two the switch version runs like complete ass. It takes forever to simply load a match or even to get past the title screen or character select screen. I'm very interested to see how it'll load on switch 2 now! Too bad it still makes my eyes bleed with how awful it looks compared to PS5. Those fuzzy blurry textures yuck!

Look what happened with Doom the dark ages. It's a download in a box but people still bought it. Same with Indiana jones and the great circle. Yeah it's scary to think that one day movies or games on a disc or games on a cart will one day not exist. When you've been collecting this stuff since your childhood what's even scarier is how cluttered your house will get with all the boxes of games everywhere.

Imagine yourself as an old man someday with a severe game hoarding problem. I knew a few hoarders who died with tons of crap piled everywhere and trust me it ain't pretty.

At first i was gonna say hell no to key card games entirely. No key card or digital version at all but i figure if it's a game i really want I'll just buy digital. I mean it is technically a digital game anyway.

I flat out refuse to support an empty cartridge in a plastic box though.

The whole argument about not really owning a digital game doesn't really apply with my Wii downloads though. As long as i still have my backups downloaded to an SD card or saved somewhere i can always turn on my wii and play them just fine.

Been doing it since the wii era ended and haven't had a problem yet. Man i miss the VC! Back when you could actually buy games and play them without a subscription.

Same old same old. I remember when PS1 came out and once i saw the controller I'm like yeah that's totally not a copycat of Super Nintendo. Then N64 had the Rumble pack. Before you knew it Sonys controllers had to vibrate too. Whatever, i like all videogame systems but Nintendo made me like them in the first place. They're still and always will be king in my book!

So this is completely original with no enhancements from the HD release on Wii U correct?

Begs the question why not just play it on Wii U? I mean sure everyone hates on it but as for first party games everything was still top notch Nintendo. I still have mine hooked up and never regretted buying it.

I thought zelda notes was rather neat. It's certainly better than pausing your game to look at youtube guides. Gamers like to complain about things breaking immersion but face it if you have kids, a significant other of any kind or obligations something is guaranteed to break your immersion. Might as well lock yourself in a room for a month and cut off all contact with the outside world while playing or you're just not gonna enjoy yourself.

I remember a Nintendo power review of OOT that said say goodbye to family and friends before you play LOL!

Never understood the complaints about battery life ever since Wii U. Is it really that hard to find an outlet somewhere so you're system doesn't die on you mid game session?

You forgot game key card as a negative. Any game that's like that I'll just buy digital if i really can't live without it. It's more or less a digital download anyway. Not supporting half ass effort.
