I don't Pokemon, but I knew more of the Pokemon than I did of the celebrities. Still, it was really cool to see this, especially since the rumored Mario Galaxy ad was 5 seconds long.

Also, I just noticed the tongue-in-cheek calling of Lady Gaga an "up and comer." And no one even commented on it.

That semi-bump combat a la Ys is a great feature. it's really creative for them to do that to make a blend of turn-based and action RPG.

The PR for Snow Bros. Classic Collection (even the full entry on the eshop) doesn't say what games are included. Fail.

Speaking of the box, the Switch collection doesn't just show scans, it has an "unboxing" animation and even calls the option that in reference to the YouTube genre.

Console Archives is a HUGE announcement. We're finally getting a Virtual Console, although it will likely be the D-list and leftover games at this point. Maybe there'd be some overlap though with NSO, such as Capcom SNES games.

In the Japanese one, the visor has a shadow of the ship rather than a reflection which is weird. And it doesn't quite match the ship. I'm trying and failing to picture obscured appendages that could account for the discrepancy.

Putting this on Switch 2 as a full physical is so generous. It likely won't take advantage of exclusive features, so they could have just released a Switch 1 version. Maybe it was to provide an excuse for its having taken so long.

Most epic might be Alien3 where they can use the actual line of dialogue from Aliens, "Game over, man!"

DKC3's toy xylophone theme of course could be related to Kiddy Kong, but sometimes you're playing as Dixie. So it seems intended to accuse the gamer of being a baby for failing.

Re: Final Fight, imagine being tied next to a lit stick of dynamite and being able to get out of the situation with 1 second left by pulling a quarter out of your pocket.

LRG is really giving us a Virtual Console at this point. LRG does what Nintendon't.

Both are pretty, but 8 Yoshis is a bit redundant. If I didn't know better, I'd think this was a game like Kirby Mass Attack (although that didn't exist at the time this game was released).

It's an action platformer, and in the NA one, you can tell there's combat, and it implies platforming a bit with that ledge. All I can surmise from the Japanese cover is that it's a licking-type game. (This point is mitigated by the fact that the game was a known quantity at the time.)

Don't get too cute with the soundtrack now. They want to hear Yokota, not whatever composer Illumination has.

This is a surprisingly Nintendo-heavy list. Way to go, Europe!

FF7: Reestablishmentarianism

He's only 60, and Tanabe is only 62. These aren't the ones I was expecting. Perhaps 40 years is when the highest tier of pension kicks in?
