I'm about 15 hours in and enjoying it but I know when I need to step away and do something else or play a game that's more "productive" than fighting the same boss 50 times.
And in reality it isn't even the actual bosses. It's the runbacks from the bench that add precisely zero to the game other than to compound the frustration. (in this and all games with the mechanic).
I like the NA one mostly because it is what I know. Both are pretty bad, though.
I remember the ad run in game magazine at the time featuring the lady showing..uh... different parts of her body and trying to wonder what the hell kind of game it was.
I've yet to play it but what I've seen sure hasn't bothered me. I guess time will tell, but I've never really been put off a Nintendo developed game because of performance issues yet. I think my tolerance for such things is pretty high in general though.
Regardless, maybe they keep chipping away at it to optimize.
I quite enjoyed it on the PS5. Was the first FF game I've played since 13. All the mixed opinions made me want to give it a go and I came away impressed and entertained.
Don't know that I'd double dip on a Switch 2 version, but if I hadn't played it yet I would be interested for sure.
Nintendo nailed the stock/demand, which seems to have broken people's brains or something.
Seeing one on a store shelf doesn't mean it's doing Wii U numbers. perhaps it means Nintendo was ready to sell 3.5 million of the lil' rascals, you weirdos.
Making chatting with friends easier is a big win and much appreciated. I don't really care about some of the finer features just yet, but I'm willing to check 'em out.
Zero interest in chatting with/hearing random people, as always.
I feel like I'll get so much time and fun out of Mario Kart that I'm honestly not that bothered.
This hobby has always been on the expensive side and the writing has been on the wall for a while that game prices were headed this way.
I don't like it, but I'm also not exactly outraged. Again, they can choose their price on a game by game basis and I'll choose what I want to play or feel is worth it.
I really enjoyed the demo, so I'm all in for checking it out myself. Seems like a lovely little game to visit in between all these other more involved games.
I've only had time to do the first two levels, but it is really lovely so far. Looks and feels quite nice to play. I can tell I'm going to have a good time with it and
I have no interest in early access games these days, so I'll wait for the Switch version, but I'm glad this is out there for people and is being well received.
@PikaPhantom i ended up buying it last night (and the lag is indeed noticeable but not unplayable) I tried messing with the filters today and I think any of the "no scan" settings maybe do make it feel at least a slight bit better.
I'll try the widescreen 1080 setting next time I try and see if it is even better. Would be kind of a shame since I love the way it looks in 240 4:3 with the first filter.
I've been curious about this one. The N64 aesthetic looks particularly nailed here.
I'm nervous about the mentioned input lag issues, though. That stuff can be game ruining for me. Might take a shot anyway or hope for an eventual patch.

Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting Kirby Air Riders?
preordered physical so I guess so!
don't quite know where I'll find the time, but I'm gonna.
Re: Metroid Prime 4's Sweet New Trailer Builds The Hype For Next Month's Launch
I adore the music.
Surreal to believe this game will finally be upon us in a month. Can't wait.
Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition?
I don't have any great desire to return to the game currently, but if/when I do, I'd buy the upgrade pack for sure.
We'll see.
Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment?
Most likely day one. Physical.
Actually been really in the mood for some Warriors action, so it is coming at the right time for me.
Re: Ball X Pit Will Breakout On Switch 2 Next Week, Free Upgrade For Switch 1 Owners
Well now I guess I have to get it.
Re: Mini Review: Xenotilt: Hostile Pinball Action (Switch) - The Balatro Of Pinball Games
Loving it so far. Great game to play for a bit inbetween story based game sessions.
Still learning a lot about the board, but it really is instantly engaging.
Re: Xenotilt, The Eye-Melting Sequel To Demon's Tilt, Is Out Now On Switch
Wait, what?
GIMME.
Re: Retro Zelda-Inspired Adventure 'Mina The Hollower' Has Been Delayed For Switch 2 And Switch
I'm selfishly okay with this. way too many games releasing at the same time right now.
Re: Poll: So, Did You Get Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 For Switch?
Not yet.
Far too many great games on my plate currently and out in the very near future, so it's a pass for now.
Fantastic games and can see myself buying and playing eventually, but I'm in no rush.

Re: The Switch eShop Is Buckling Under The Weight Of Silksong
Worked fine for me in NA, but I wasn't there trying to buy it as soon as the shop updated. 40 minutes later.
Looking forward to putting in an hour or two today.
Re: Hollow Knight: Silksong's Price Has Been Officially Announced
I never really get too up in arms about prices either way, but that's gonna be a steal.
Re: Video: We Bought 100 Copies Of Mario Paint... For Science
Loved it. A Gameboy Camera video like this would be tons of fun, too.
Re: Hollow Knight: Silksong Finally Has A Release Date
What a beautiful trailer.
Game looks as special as expected.
Re: Futuristic Deep Sea Adventure 'Glaciered', Swims Onto Switch 2 This Winter
Looks fantastic. Game of the direct for me. Keeping my eye on it for sure.
Anything underwater always gets my attention big time. The setting and premise look great.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: Blast Corps
I always appreciated the "Street level" perspective of the NA/EU art, and it is what I know so it gets my vote this time.
Re: Assassin's Creed Shadows Switch 2 Rating Spotted Online
I'd probably give it a go on my Switch 2. I've not bothered with an AC since Black Flag, but it looks decent.

Re: Ys X: Proud Nordics Reportedly Includes 120fps Performance Mode On Switch 2
Finished it on Switch a few months ago and had a pretty great time. Performance issues and all.
Still kind of confused as to exactly what this game is, but regardless, a Switch 2 version is great if you've still not tried it.
Re: Nintendo Highlights Multiple Switch 2 And Switch Games Launching In July 2025
Interested in Tony Hawk but also curious to see more footage of it before I dive in.
Re: Poll: Have You Won Knockout Tour Online In Mario Kart World Yet?
I've got one so far and a few close calls.
Haven't played too much yet, but it sure is a fun mode to just fire up and have a few runs every now and then.

Waiting for that Switch 2 version.
Re: Nintendo Switch 2 Final Tech Specs Have Been Confirmed
Seems like a nice jump from the Switch, which is all I care about.
The internet can fight about the numbers and how "underpowered" it is now until forever.

Nice.
Make Tetrisphere happen next.
Re: Star Wars: Hunters Servers To Close Later This Year
I played a few hours when it first came out and had a fun time. Didn't do anything new, but had a really solid foundation.
Shame, but not super surprising. Hard for these F2P games to find a place and stay there.
Re: Nike Has Gone Bananas With These Donkey Kong Country-Inspired Trainers
Kinda so ugly they're great.
Re: Poll: So, How Would You Feel About 24 Racers In Mario Kart 9?
Bring it on. Mario Kart is chaos. Embrace it.
Re: Nintendo Switch 2 Reveal Trailer Gives First Official Look At The New Console
That is very much all the first look had to be. Looks really slick.
So happy for more Switch.
Re: Exclusive: Survival Horror RPG 'Chernobylite Complete Edition' Is Coming To Switch
That is a bad trailer.
I've seen a few videos of the game on other systems and it does look intriguing though. Maybe I finally give it a go on Switch if it i a decent port.
