Re: Round Up: Here's What Switch Online Players Think Of GoldenEye 007 So Far

1.1 with the N64 controller is how I'll always play it. Been a good bunch of years since I did so, and it initially felt strange, but after a few missions re-adjusting It feels like I remember it.

Not denying there's a fair bit of "clunk" to it at this stage (especially while I'm still re-learning), but there's plenty about it that is still impressive and feels great to play.

I'm having a real good time.

Played it on the PS5 and was rather enjoying it until some of the silly difficulty spikes. First game in a long while I dropped to easy during the middle of and never looked back.

It's not impossible, but I don't really have the time to retry a boss battle 50 times and "get good" these days or at least not on a game like this. Eventually I just wanted to move on from what felt like an arbitrary boss battle. thankfully the game lets you change difficultly at any time.

Re: Talking Point: WATA And The Grey Areas Of Game Preservation - Is There Any Better Way?

Video game preservation is important (the physical product included), but I'm not sure WATA is it. All that seems to have lead to is people treating sealed video games like currency. As a member of several trading groups I see it daily and it's never not been weird to me.

I know there are obviously good things that come of it as well, like yeah, they do catalogue everything and that's important, but as a company overall it seems built on profit and little else.

I also fight with the idea of "slabbing" games in general because it seems so backward to my idea of collecting to play and appreciate, but I know not everyone feels the same.

I've never had any issues with LRG. I guess I could understand how some people dislike how they operate, but in general I think they are doing some cool stuff.

I've always buy sporadically and purely based on the feeling of "oooh, it'd be nice to have a physical copy of that" (and also willing to wait the long production time) when it hits me.

I am a bit of a collector or I wouldn't be bothering obviously, but I don't consider them investments. Nor am I interested in their absurd large collector's editions. I buy to play.
