Sure we have these games in their snes form already, but what I find seals the deal here is that Nintendo dropped all 3 at the same time from out of nowhere. We’re gonna get GB and GBA games that haven’t already been announced as well and I’m so pumped for that. Imagine if they make hell freeze over and add the Sonic Advance Trilogy. Good lord.

Every update gets better and more content rich, you love to see it. New stages, emotes, everything!

@Yomerodes yeah, I don’t ever get why people want a console to “die with honor” or stuff like that. The switch should continue even when a new console comes out in a few years time. Why are people so quick to say a console should end on the spot, especially if it’s the best console of this generation?

I don’t really think it matters. Both games are vastly different but one thing is similar: they both look great.

The game will be totally refined and ready when the time comes. Take all the time you need, few gaming companies follow that direction these days.

Kuru Kuru Kururin? I tried that on the GBA switch thing and that game is bloody DIFFICULT. Still, I wouldn’t mind playing another one to kill time when my internet dies again. I don’t think many other people would be asked what franchise they want to work on and confidently say “kuru kuru Kururin, of course!” I swear fans will also break their bones for a new Chibi Robo at this point too.

@DanijoEX A few internet “leakers” like Jeff Grubb a few weeks before the September Direct that Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD for the switch would be announced, and that Metroid Prime Trilogy HD would be announced for the switch in December. So Twitter got all of those games trending before the direct, and it got so much notoriety that even Nintendo Life had to cover the situation in an article. Twitter trends are so dumb and presumptuous.

This is a very good movie. Glad to see it do so well.

Its also brutal how in the modern age we call games we don’t like or approve of things like “cash grabs” when people literally spent 15 years begging and fussing at Nintendo to make a new strikers, and 10 years for them to make a new Wii sports. When Nintendo finally bothers to make new entries for those presumed dead franchises, people spit on those games and say they are inferior to the older entries. Battle League and Switch sports aren’t even bad games. People will always play the “lack of content” card against them. Just because you hate the games for not having stupid amounts of content doesn’t mean the games are unplayable and bad. They are family tailored games and they can still be quite fun.

Once I get this game I’m probably going to spend an hour just attaching things together like those turret and science cube abominations from Portal 2

Those reviews might have actually created some weird reverse effect. “The reviews for the new Mario movie that didn’t look half bad from the trailers were negative? Huh, well it can’t be that bad, I guess we’ll go see what the fuss is all about.” That’s how I assume most casual watchers of the movie thought of it, or maybe they just like Mario. Or maybe I’m wording this poorly.

Doesn’t really matter if the PS5 outsells the switch these days, because the switch is both 6+ years old and it’s been sold to everyone who has wanted one worldwide (135 million+ people). PS5s are selling now because after two years of scarcity and brutal scalping, you can finally find one in a store for purchase at its base price

What a stupid employee. Getting fired over stupid useless internet points. Mike and all of us know that Nintendo doesn’t mess around with leakers and is very protective of their products, yet he still posted those pictures. And Nintendo, we all would have predicted a special OLED for this occasion as well regardless. Splatoon 3 and Scarlet/Violet had their own dedicated OLED themes, so why would they not give a theme to the game that’s bigger than all three of the games I just mentioned? I can see the frustration here. 5 extra minutes of credits isn’t that much effort I would think. Still easier for Nintendo to just credit everyone who worked on the original games and the Wii Trilogy indirectly by saying ‘based on the work of those who worked on the GC release and the Prime Trilogy for Wii.’

Nice. Story isn’t important here. It’s an illumination flick, and it’s done what it came here to do. Blow your mind with stunning visuals and references. Now this seems like a solid film.

These reviews might be negative but they are absolutely unbelievably hilarious. Rolling Stone’s review made it sound like the reviewer was out of his mind instead of actually watching the movie.

Judging by all the praise being aimed at the cameos, I am starting to feel that this is more of a celebration of the Mario franchise as a whole. And ‘boring plotline’? What were you expecting out of a formulatic Mario film? A five star classic? It’s just meant to be good simple fun, and I think that’s the best approach, it being an illumination film as well. That’s what they do best.

Sorry, that's a no around the board. I will probably hold onto my basic model switch even through the future generations. No point in blowing precious money on a console I already own (yes, it's an OLED, but it's not that different to be a dealbreaker) No matter how many scratches or how broken my switch gets, I'll probably keep it for as long as I am able.

Sega went all out for this one. Still can’t believe they actually made a full free game for their fans. The IGN one was actually really cringe and poorly executed. And that PRIME X (Metroid) Prime is a joke that should have been done a thousand times over at this point, but no one really made that connection somehow until now.

I mean, Chris has a tolerable voice. I could stand that voice for an hour and a half long movie. Charles Martinet is one of the best video game VAs of all time, but I couldn’t listen to “LETSA GO, WAHOOO” in his tone for that long. I think it’s better reserved for the video games where his lines are much shorter. Make him voice Wario or Waluigi in a cameo or something! His voice for both of them is top tier!

Sequel must have Wario and Waluigi as the secondary antagonists working under a greater evil, and at the final battle, Wario and Waluigi help team Mario beat the big evil. Who is the big evil? Wart, obviously
