Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of The New Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Trailer?

TheBigBlue

@mariomaster96 Yeah, I can’t see that either. And they will have to justify that price hike too. I don’t imagine they have been slacking off for six years. As the only first party 70 dollar switch game that isn’t a bundle or gold edition, they will have probably made things worth the asking price, but it all depends on the person whether they think it’s justified or not.

Re: Best Zelda Games Of All Time

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again: Breath Of The Wild has earned its place. Ocarina of time is phenomenal, but Breath Of The Wild is literally Ocarina but bigger and better looking, minus the ganondorf.

Re: Unlock A Special Fire Emblem Engage Theme In Tetris 99 This Week

TheBigBlue

Tetris 99 hasn’t had a themed thing like this for how long? And then they randomly drop an Engage collab. Surprisingly, the music selection from engage actually fits the game a bit! I don’t play this personally, but rejoice that these events have returned! Metroid Prime Remastered collab next would be phenomenal

Re: Best Nintendo Switch DLC

TheBigBlue

Double hands down, the best dlc is either Smash Ultimate or Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, because of the sheer amount of content in each alone! Sakurai said once upon a time “don’t expect too many new fighters since every fighter ever is being brought back” and then he adds 11 dlc characters, tons of music and Mii fighter outfits, and 11 stages to boot. What a legend. And I’m pretty sure we all know the MK8 Deluxe story. 48 new tracks. That is the same amount of tracks in the base Deluxe game! And now 6 additional characters will be added too. Both games have phenomenal dlc.

Re: Countdown: Wii U eShop Spotlight - Duck Hunt

Do you know that micro game in WarioWare Inc mega microgames where you waited until the duck was in proper range and then you just pressed A to take it down? I feel the original NES duck hunt could function via joystick control, where you aim and tilt the gun with the stick and press A to fire.

Re: Poll: What Other GameCube Title Deserves A '10/10' Remake Or Remaster?

TheBigBlue

Obviously it should be the GameCube game that is incredibly popular and family friendly game with limited violence. Which am I referring to? Shadow The Hedgehog of course!

On a real note, Sega please bring sonic heroes to modern platforms that’s expensive stuff right there.

My real answer is Smash Bros Melee. One of the only ones I haven’t played. Give it a modern look and feel. Throw in an extra character or two if they are feeling adventurous.

Whoever said Path Of Radiance, I second this! We need this, cause this game has never had a rerelease. A remaster in Prime fashion would be terrific!

Re: Talking Point: Which Pokémon-Themed Nintendo Console Has The Best Design?

I used to have a Pokéball 2ds XL. It was gifted to me after a stint in the hospital, bundled with Pokemon Ultra Moon. I already owned a 3ds XL, but I still loved it. I gave it to a parent who’s son was battling cancer at the hospital to pay it forward. After she gave her son the gift, I was later told the response was great. I believe that was the best thing I could do, since I had recently picked up a switch for myself.

Re: Bowser Defends $70 Zelda Pricing, Nintendo Still "Very Bullish" About Switch

TheBigBlue

@Duffman92 I’ve seen so many other companies rush games out the door for the holiday season or the deadline. Sonic 2006. Crash Twinsanity. Cyberpunk 2077. Even Pokémon games get rushed cause they are such a big franchise and then games like Scarlet and Violet happen. Not totally unplayable, but very lacking in what it was supposed to be. Nintendo is pretty consistent in that regard. They like to take their sweet time more often than not, hence why the “new Mario” and Tears Of The Kingdom are taking so long. People will combat this by saying ‘But my dear friend with the screaming Dr Cortex pfp, the Mario sports games suck and they are rushed! Nintendo should finish their games!!!!!!’ Well, im not sure if they were super rushed if not (Get it? Ha!) They all had definitive release dates and weren’t shoved out for the holidays. They are indeed lacking in the character and game mode departments sure, but that don’t mean they are buggy, glitch filled and downright unplayable. That’s the difference between rushed and lacking in content. They were intended to be that way, with dlc to support the games overtime. Reinvest interest, which is common in modern gaming. They function more like arcade games where you easily pick up and play without a giant roster to slow you down. Those games are still fun.

So I agree with this sentiment. The games aren’t rushed. They have their time put in and a lot of those games are high quality and fun to play.

Comments are on fire here!

I don’t actually know if I will get this game or not. This day and age, I am a sale hunter, and so is everyone around me. It’s to the point where when I realized Metroid Prime was a mere 50 dollars Canadian, my own father said he would outright buy it for us cause of how cheap it was!

So I get the pricing thing. Not a huge fan. But I think that if a game is so unbelievably high quality, massive, and is one of the best games of all time, then it’s earned it’s price point. I have faith in Doug that he is correct with this game being huge. The first one was already giant. I don’t care if they ‘reuse assets’. This isn’t Garry’s Mod dammit. Those reused assets are gorgeous. And this game will push the switch to its limit, to make a masterpiece.

That said, if you don’t want, don’t buy. Simple. I said that in another comment section and I got treated like I just stabbed someone with a ‘knife’ they called it. But it’s pretty simple stuff here. Not everyone has to like the 70 dollar switch game.
