Re: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Difficulty Settings Revealed By Nintendo

SoIDecidedTo

I'm with others. I am really glad that this game has an easy mode, because I no longer have the time to "Get good". If I only have 5 hours a week to play games, I want to enjoy the story and see what happens. I do not want to take the time to memorize enemy patterns, or hone my skills.

With that said, I think locking hard behind beating the game on normal is cheap. To me, it is a way to make the game seem longer than it is. If it's a 20 hour game, now it's 40 hours.

Re: New Marvel Cosmic Invasion Trailer Highlights The Hero-Swapping Tag-Team Feature

SoIDecidedTo

Like @Pillowpants said, I'm kind of burned out on anything Marvel. Haven't went to see one of their movies since the last avengers, (Other than Deadpool and Wolverine, but I don't consider that a Marvel movie even though Marvel characters because the tone is so different).

However, this game has me legit interested. I loved the arcade game (Was that '92?) as a kid. So this could legit be the beat-em-up I purchase. Although I still have the TMNT one on my wishlist.

Re: Bandai Namco Is Looking To Revamp 'Shadow Labyrinth' In An Upcoming Update

SoIDecidedTo

I hope to see a re-review once it is updated. It's a game that really interested but I don't have time to commit to a punishingly hard game. I want something like Odyssey or Wonder that I can play for an hour when I have time and not have to GG in order to enjoy it. I do like how in Wonder there are the hard levels. I remember playing a one level on a flight for 2 hours straight until I beat it. (Don't remember the name, but it's the level where platforms appear and disappear in time with the music).

Mario Kart 8 is not in the top 10? #Nintendoomed!

But seriously, these are GREAT numbers. I have NEVER played a Pokemon game other than Go on my Mobile. But they hype around this one kind of makes me want to give it a try.

People that play, is this something I can pick up and play for 15 minutes at a time, or is it more of a sit-down and play an hour or two at time game?

Re: Poll: How Many New Games Do You Buy In A Year?

SoIDecidedTo

If they were talking about Triple A titles, like Mario, Donkey Kong, Spaltoon, Hades II, etc, it's probably 3 to 4 a year. But from eshop I probably buy about 20 a year minimum. Even though my Back Catalog is massive already, I like to support smaller developers if they make a good product. Some of them I've had for a while and still never played: Neon Abyss and Bendy and the Incredible Ink Machine, I'm looking at you. And I really wanted to play those, but I just stay too busy at work.

Re: Opinion: Ogre Battle 64: Person Of Lordly Caliber's Revolutionary Heart Still Burns Brightly

SoIDecidedTo

This game was so awesome, until it ruined it for me... I'd played a ways in, probably like 10 hours or so and was really enjoying everything about it when it was on the Wii eshop.

But then... I had an enemy pop up and kill me super quickly. I THOUGHT I had saved it recently, but apparently was so engrossed that I had played about 4 or 5 hours without saving. EVERYTHING gone in an instant. I never played it again.

Yes, it was my fault. But at the same time not having a way to reclaim all of the work made me never want to play again. I wasn't going into a big fight or anything, just randomly attacked and slaughtered. My memory is a little fuzzy now on where it was at in the game (it's been 15 years), but I said I'd never play it again and I didn't.

However, if you have NOT played this game before, I highly recommend it. Just save more than my ignorant self.

Re: Turtle Beach Unveils New Range Of Officially Licensed Switch 2 Accessories - Controllers, Cases And More

@PinderSchloss You're so right! This is like what someone in 1985 would think someone in 2025 would want for their case design. haha

I've actually looking for a case for my Switch 2. I've got the Splatoon 2 case from RDS Industries for my Switch 1 and absolutely love it. The Artwork is awesome and it's got room for 8 carts (or 8 carts and a memory card) and even a zipper pocket. Been with me on probably over 100 trips and still does great. I haven't found an RDS Case that has the zipper pocket for Switch 2. Hopefully they'll come out with one.

Re: SEGA Announces New Olympic Merch Collab, Reigniting Hopes Of A Mario & Sonic Comeback

When I saw this article earlier today, my first thought was, Now it's going to be Sonic and others and it will leave Nintendo out so that it can go cross platform. Hello Pacman, Crash Bandicoot, Spryro the Dragon, and Lara Croft. And maybe each system gets some of theirs: Nintendo gets Mario, Luigi, and maybe a couple of others. Xbox gets Master Chief, Conker, Banjo. And Sony gets Kratos, Sly Cooper, etc.

Re: Switch 2 Sales In The US Are Outpacing The Original Console By 75%

SoIDecidedTo

@Yosher I have the Donkey Kong game and I'm really looking forward to starting it, but I want to wait until I have a whole weekend to get into it. So probably.... Thanksgiving? haha

I was very disappointed in Madden (although others have told me they like it, I just find it worse than the Maddens of 15 years ago). The Only game that I'm REALLY looking forward to (other than a new Splatoon) is Metroid (which I know will be on Switch 1, but I'm excited to see what it does on the 2)

Re: Review: Hades 2 - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - A Bewitching Sequel That's A Spell Off Perfect

SoIDecidedTo

@LinktotheFuture Yeah, I know that now, but the thing that sucks is that I can ONLY link two systems together. So let's say I was synced to my OG Switch, but then other games are on OLED Switch. When I de-link the OG to get the OLED games, they "release" all the linked games from the OG. It is a way worse system for me than the old way which was seeing if anyone else was playing the game and if not, I could play. It just reaffirms my love of Physical.

Re: Review: Hades 2 - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - A Bewitching Sequel That's A Spell Off Perfect

SoIDecidedTo

I'll be buying this day one physical even though I have to wait until November for it. I already liked physical better, and I want to reward them for putting the game on the cart.

Also, I realized on a recent flight that almost none of my eshop games work without wifi now because of the fact I have the Switch, OLED Switch, and Switch 2. Even though the game is saved on my OG Switch, it won't let me play because I last played it on the OLED or the 2. Luckily I have 8 games with me because they fit in my carrying case.

Re: Madden NFL 26 Updated On Switch 2, Here Are The Patch Notes

SoIDecidedTo

This game is trash to me. I would highly recommend no one to buy it. This game is worse playing than Madden on Wii. That was actually fun. And there are so many simple things they could fix like when switching defenders, instead of having to scroll though all on them in one order, you could all switch in opposite directions. I know I worded that poorly but like if you're on defense, and you have an interior lineman but you want the Right End, you have to click the button 10 times to get to it. Where as on old games, you could click a different button once and go "back".

Also even the stats menus are messed up. You can't go from rushing to passing and back again, you have to cycle through them all. Why is this game worse than one from 15 years ago?

As far as gameplay, the laggy motions (OFFLINE) are deal breakers. I've said before, and I'll say again, I think the reason they won't let you make the 30 second clips in this game is because they don't want people being able to easily post online how janky this is.
