I was hoping mario & sonic 2008 would be on there since that was my favorite box art for that series. However since it's not, I went with the Olympics that was listed. If the Japanese version of Sonic X Shadow Generations had been listed, it would have won for me.

I loved this game on SNES. I actually played it more than Mario Kart. Really cool to see that it gets recognized again.

I would download the Observer if they allowed you to upgrade from the original Switch version.

@Dr_Lugae This happened once at fye! We got a shipment of $4.99 DVDs, that we bought some of them back for $7.99 used or $8.99 for store credit. With the backstage pass those DVDs were $4.49 so buying 20 of them, made a quick $100. This was back when the Wii came out so that was like 2 free Wii games. I really do miss fye. Not just because of this, but because I like physical media.

@Yosher I have wished many many MANY times that Nintendo had bought Rare.

One of the things I do not understand now is why Nintendo doesn't pick up any of these smaller studios with talented developers. Nintendo has enough dormant franchises and enough money that they can definitely pass off different characters to different teams and have them work on things. Nintendo used to release one new IP a year from like 2005 to 2021.

Buying some new studios would give them more bandwidth for new entries. Like Nintendogs, Brian Age, Steel Diver, Pushmo, ARMS, The Stretchers; I think they could all deal with a little love. Pushmo really utilized 3D well so that would need to reconfigure camera angles maybe, but they're all games I would enjoy playing again. Not to mention if they bought a company to get back into sports. I remember LOVING Ken Griffey Jr Baseball, Kobe Bryant Basketball, and Excitebike. Excitebike would be a GREAT 99 type game. Excitebike 99, and see who can race longest!

@JohnnyMind I'm not into horror at all either, but enjoyed this game for what I played. I figured out the ending super early in the game so quite playing so maybe it gets scarier as it goes along, but the beginning was not THAT bad. I think I only played through 2 levels though. If there was an upgrade path, I might would start over and try this again. I did enjoy what I did play of it.

I never played the first one because it looked to similar to Splatoon (in my eyes) and I play Splatoon more than anything else. But this actually looked interesting to me. I may give it a shot. Splatoon: Raiders looks like it should be the Quest mode for Splatoon 4, not a full fledged game so I'll probably skip that.

Observer: System Redux is something I want to see more of. I enjoyed the first game for a bit until I figured out the story early on. I usually don't google spoilers, but I googled it, and yup I was right so I quit playing. So I hope the story is better this time, and a slight tightening of the gameplay. I like using the observer scan, but it's annoying when you KNOW what you're looking for but can't find it. Also, I didn't like having to keep using the injection on myself to continue the game. (I forgot what that mechanic was now, but I remember he had to take some kind of drug because he was sick or something). It was unnecessary.

I'll probably buy this game day one to support the developer. The Demon Blade was probably one of the most beautiful games I've played on Wii and it felt "Next Gen" when other games felt underpowered. Now if we can get Sega to re-release Mad World, it will be like 2012 all over again! (or whatever year it was)

@Luigia I loved it on Wii U. To this day I miss being able to look at a map of everyone while playing the game.

Also I miss Camp Triggerfish, Arrowana Mall, and Walleye Warehouse stages. Happy Splatting!

ETERNAL DARKNESS REMAKE!!!!! You heard it here first!

Here's my thing, and not saying I'm write. But I could really see this being a great remake of Starfox 64, only to lead us to a NEW Starfox in 2 years or so. Nintendo seems to savvy to have made Fox McCloud a premium member of Galaxy just for a remake. So my thought is this is 64, and then Starfox 2 might actually be a remake of Starfox 2 from the 64, and then we get Starfox 3 in like 5 years that will be a REIMAGINING of dinosaur planet and not a literal remake. That will come out to coincide with the Startfox "Dinosaur Planet" style movie.

@MARl0 agreed. I have no clue what the economics about this would be, but if I was delisting a game, I think for the last month I would drop the price to like $5 and try to get as many people as possible give it a go.

I just realized I have NEVER beaten the messenger.... I must be getting close to the end. I completely forgot that game. I absolutely loved it. Now I need to relearn how to play it and finish it off.

It's about time we got a Tetris on this system. I've been missing it so much since the Gameboy. Oh whyyyyyyy did it take so long????

Also, isn't there a guy here that has every Tetris released on the Switch? They are just TRYING to make this guy spend more money. haha

I stopped playing Rocket League when it went free to play. At the time I was one of the top 15 goal scorers on Nintendo Switch. That doesn't mean I was good at it, just got it day 1 on the switch and played it an unhealthy amount of time. It just got to the point with free to play that it wasn't fun any more. I don't remember what it was I hated now, but I remember thinking, "They've ruined it". I gave it up and haven't played since.

I do think if it launched again on the new engine and for the new version you had to pay $40 or whatever, I would buy it again.

I agree with others, how are the studios not testing the games themselves before releasing? ORRR are they and they realize they're a buggy mess but they think off of nostalgia, they can sell 100,000 or so and take the money and run. If they don't plan on ever making an r-type game again, why would they care they ruined the name?

Remember how WonderBoy: The Dragon's trap did current generation graphics and the classic 8bit that you could flip between the 2 at any time. Why don't these new collections have that? Other than it's a cash grab and no love was put into it. I'm all for preservation, but I'm not into paying for half hearted retreads.

@iLikeUrAttitude I don't know why seeing your chart made it hit home more. I remember getting my PS2 from Toys R Us on Launch day. The two games I bought with it (if I remember correctly) were Madden and the Bouncer. The Bouncer gets a lot of hate, but I actually really liked that game because there were so many different endings. Thanks for the chart, I had forgotten the price cuts. If Nintendo dropped the Switch to $100, they'd sell another 20 million to 30 million easy!

I feel like it was going to be an Online Yakuza game that would have been like GTA 6 so hopefully evergreen. By world changing, they probably would have added some real world brands to it so that people could wear Levi's Jeans and Jordan shoes. They would have had a huge hub world, but then in game you could pay to play certain mini-games. Hey, I'm in an arcade, I can play Sonic 3 for .50 a play, or pay $4.99 to add it to my inventory.

Of course I'm making all of this up, but it is what I've always imagined it being.

@Judal27 I would have much rather had DK. I bought DK and have played it about 15 hours. Mario Kart World came with mine and I have yet to play it. My building has mario kart arcade cabinets so when I want to play, me and my friends go down there to race.

So two of the three are already in a bundle, right? I think this is a "hey, we're going to jack up the price so let's sell as many as possible first". Did this announcement come after the stock dropped so much after they announced the increase? I love Nintendo, but I do feel like it has lost it's way a little since the loss of their CEO. May he rest in peace.

I went NA for the box art. But if I were to get a poster, I would definitely get the Japanese. I would actually buy that as a poster back then and put it on my wall.

@hanzel Yeah, like how are Ice Hockey on the NES and NHL 93 on the genesis better than any hockey game today when it comes to FUN? Even the remake of Mutant League football wasn't as fun as the old Genesis one. Also back in the PS2 days, you could play the Madden game and unlock stuff by playing and getting EXP. Now you have to pay for it. I get it, but I just want fun. I don't think I'll ever buy a sports game again if it doesn't have a Demo first. (Unless it's mario like you said, they still put fun first).

I bought a 2nd one today. I'm giving one for a Christmas gift to my friend. She already knows that is what she is getting, so it seemed pointless to wait to buy it closer to time if it will be more expensive.

I wonder how much this will drive immediate demand. I have a friend that I was going to get one for her for Christmas, so I JUST bought hers right now to save the $50 later this year.

I quit my Amazon Prime like 7 years ago and never went back. Even though it's more expensive, I try to buy local for everything now. I'd rather help a small business than something huge. With that said, I have no problem with people that do want to use amazon for everything. I don't hate Amazon, I just realized my dollar means more to a local store than it does to them.

This theme was one of the worst in my opinion. I didn't like the graphics or the music, but I still had to get 100 points to get it. haha

I have most of them. I lost some of them because I didn't realize my OG switch and OLED switch were not both uploaded and synced so when I got my switch 2, I could pick only one. I wish they would do an event like they did 3 years ago where they had 6 of the previous ones, and each day was a new one. Only do it for a month and let people catch up on them if they need them.

@hanzel Same, I hadn't played a Madden since the Wii one, and honestly, the Wii one is WAY more fun than the new one. I wish I had tried it before I bought it. I thought 2026 was garbage, but everyone has different opinions, but I think it is a waste of $60. I was so hype to play it, but even NFL 2K5 on PS2 was a better game than this. Again, some may disagree, but if I had to choose a Madden to play, I'm glad I still have my Wii version.

I just realized I bought this day one, and never opened the box! I still have that and Guard in the original double pack. I always planned to play it, and then got distracted. Just like I have the starfox edition of Starlink and never opened it too. So apparently I am a huge fan of Starfox, just not enough to actually play the games. haha but at least I buy them (and his shirts)

I'm not a marketing genius, but if you know you're going to delist, and never done a sale, shouldn't you drop the price to like $2.99 and try to get as many people give a go as possible? If 100 people would still be interested at $19.99, or 100,000 at $2.99, wouldn't it make sense.

Of course I guess only they know what the interest actually is (% of people who saved it for later).

@Luffymcduck I loved my Wii U. The dual screen was a waste on some games, but it REALLY made Splatoon something special. I still miss the map function at a glance. Also it may seem weird, but i liked how heavy the wii u controller was. The heft felt "right".

NA is so deliciously terrible. It's something I would have seen as a kid and 100% wanted the game asap, so I'll go with that.

BALATRO was my FAVORITE game of 2025. I played it instead of my Nintendo Switch for almost my entire trip to China. I kind of got burned out once I got the the higher levels (level four I think, maybe the black chip) because I just couldn't win any more. So I tried the easy levels again and couldn't win then either. I don't know what changed, but it seemed like everything I would build my deck for, I'd get a boss that countered all of that. Lost all joy in the game. It definitely didn't start out like that for me. Maybe just dumb luck.

This is one of the few movies that I can say the 2nd one was better than the first (at least in my humble opinion).

It would be cool if all the koopa kids come back as the antagonists. Imagine Bowser has gone missing. Bowser Jr is alone and weakened. Then he learns of a mysterious council. All the kids are in silhouettes on screens. Then Mario has to go battle them in different worlds. Actually, that could be a tv series that leads to the movie where Wario is the bad guy...

I've never heard of this game, but will look it up now that I watched this. Whether he is in it or not, very cool fan service.

@ShadLink Breath of the Fresh Wind seems like it would be a great game for One Piece DLC, have you heard anything about that?

I want one of these but the theater by me is ALWAYS sold out of the buckets for any movie by the time I see it. I don't even like Popcorn like that, but I love Yoshi, so it's cool!

@MTMike87 THEY SHOULD have been the ones in the movie. Nothing against Hoskins and Leguizamo, but this is the Mario and Luigi I loved.
