Re: Switch Fighting Game ARMS Receives Its First Update Since 2018

SoIDecidedTo

I think for me what would have had me hooked to Arms more would be if the different fighters played differently. I felt like since all their arms could be changed, so many of them played the same and it was like the same fighter over and over. I remember when it came out I really WANTED to like this game, but after a couple of hours I just didn't enjoy it. Splatoon is a way better time suck

Re: Review: WWE 2K18 (Switch)

SoIDecidedTo

@Yapzhiyuan1994 Yeah. I was interested originally when it came out but was so glitchy. I did not know if they ever patched it. Now Wrestling Empire came out so I just play that.

Re: Nintendo Hosting Tetris 99 'Second Chance' Maximus Cup This Friday

SoIDecidedTo

@thinkhector Yeah, unfortunately for some of them, if you didn't play that weekend, you cannot go in and buy it. You are only able to go in and buy with tickets if you played that event but didn't hit 100 points. I am super excited for this because I have all of them but 4 of them listed here so I can finally collect the set!

Re: Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration Features Over 90 Titles, Including Jaguar And Lynx Games

SoIDecidedTo

I usually do not want old games like this. Not saying I'm spoiled to today's graphics and gameplay, but I just do not find a lot of fun in most older games. However, Yars Revenge is an all time great. I also love that they will have Jaguar games. I had a Jaguar and I'm sad it crashed and burned so hard. I'll buy this game once it's out to support my first gaming system and love of gaming (the 2600)

Re: Rival Turf!

I used to really like this game. Mostly because there was a code so you could change every characters name in the game. And because it had a hidden area which Final Fight didn't.

Re: Talking Point: Should We Still Be Pre-Ordering Games?

SoIDecidedTo

I only pre-order if it is a game I think I will absolutely LOVE (Splatoon 3) or a game that comes with something really cool (for Animal Crossing I got the free totebag from Target). Instead of pre-order, I usually wait for games to go on sale because I have enough to play already. But for the right swag, or if it is something I REALLY want to support the developer, I'll pre-order.

Re: Review: Horace - A Heart-Warming Nostalgia Trip And Must-Play Masterpiece

SoIDecidedTo

Bought this when it was on sale a long time ago, but wanted it because of this review. I started playing last week, and although I'm only on the 5th Chapter, but already see it as a 10 out of 10. If I stopped playing now, I would feel like I got my money's worth, and I'm sure there is a lot more mechanics that I have to unlock.

I'm not really into a lot of "pixel art" games. But the charm of this one has grabbed me. The writing is superb, and I genuinely connect with the characters. I feel like I can see a plot twist coming from a mile away, but will wait until I've finished to see if I'm correct.

Thanks for the review NL, this has been my favorite game I started this year.

Re: Review: BRAWL (Switch eShop)

SoIDecidedTo

@Ventilator So funny, I'm the same. I bought it when it was on sale for cheap, and never got around to playing it. I LOVED Super Bomberman on SNES so thought it would be something fun like that to play. I actually find the announcer to be funny. I wish the control was a LITTLE tighter, but as far as each character having their own abilities, its a fun little change of pace. I've never played against anyone so not sure what I think of that. But for the one player, you can finish each chapter in about 30 minutes. So 4 hours of playtime and that seems about right. I just wanted a game I could pick up and play in short bursts. Completely unrelated, I just started playing "Horace" this week and I am completely blown away at how good it is. The story, the characters, everything about it is charming, even though it has a sincere storyline that pulls at the heart strings. Would recommend that one, 10 out of 10 if you like platformers.

Re: Review: BRAWL (Switch eShop)

@Ventilator I've only played through 2 characters so far, but the AI isn't terrible. It seems like sometimes it wants to come right at you, and other times it completely ignores you, but it's still fun. I give this game a six

Re: Nintendo Minute's Kit And Krysta Say Goodbye In Their "Final Episode"

SoIDecidedTo

@HolyGeez03 agreed. Every time Nintendo wanted feedback about something, I would mention the guy seemed like a non-union background actor that was given lines.

I couldn't watch their videos even though the content was something I was interested in. Hopefully they will launch a new program with someone that's more engaging. Just imagine of Guru Larry or Slopes had an official Nintendo channel.

Re: Former Metroid Prime Engineer Admits He Was "Disappointed" With The Wii's Specs

SoIDecidedTo

I absolutely loved Super Mario Galaxy, Mad World, Mario Party 8, Mario Kart, Xenoblade Chornicals, and Murimasa the Demon Blade on my Wii. I'm sure there are a few other games I'm forgetting at the moment. I never had the urge for another system. I'm sure if I was younger I would have wanted to have them all, but I have limited playing time. And something about how FUN Nintendo games are, that I do not really care if the graphics aren't the best. It's all about having a good time in short 30 minute bursts. That's why now I only have the switch. Sure it would be nice to see the better graphics on my TV, but just like I think DVD quality is fine on my HDTV, and do not need Blu-Ray; I think Switch graphics are good enough and I do not need the best possible graphics to enjoy myself.

Now ask me the same question back in the Sega Dreamcast days and graphics were EVERYTHING. Also, speaking of Dreamcast, Capcom needs to re-release Canon Spike.

Re: New Windjammers 2 Trailer Showcases Two Characters And A Bunch Of Cool Moves

SoIDecidedTo

I REALLY enjoy the first one. It is a good game to play on flights because it is a quick game to play and enjoy and not think too much. This one was something I was REALLY excited for when announced, but now it just seems like more of the same but with more flashing lights... If they add a story mode, or make it have like 16 characters or something I might be enticed. But I still enjoy the first one enough that this doesn't look like an improvement to me. If you haven't played the first one, definitely worth the purchase.

Re: Here's Your First Look At The Switch Box Art For Kirby And The Forgotten Land

SoIDecidedTo

I have never bought a Kirby game but this one might loop me in. I like the thought of a playing around in a forgotten land. One of my favorite games on the switch is Lifeless Planet. I really got into the story and actually liked the walking simulator concept. I work all the time so it was nice to play something for 15 minutes at a pop and not worrying about dying.

This is hopefully something with a great story and way better control than lifeless planet.

Re: The Point & Click Sale Discounts 10 Games On Switch

SoIDecidedTo

@Gryffin I used to LOVE point and click games, but I no longer really enjoy them. Maniac Mansion was one of my five favorite NES games. I bought Thimbleweed Park with such high hopes of reliving that part of my life. However, I have yet to complete it. According to the strategy guide, I'm about 60% done, but I just lost interest in the puzzles. However the story is 10 out of 10.

Re: Gallery: Is The Panasonic Q The Most Goshdarn Beautiful Nintendo Console Of All Time?

SoIDecidedTo

I wanted one of these SO bad. I remember reading about it in some magazine and was saving up money for it. It never made it here, but I would have been one of the buyers. I kept holding out hope. I ended up buying the Metroid version of the Gamecube when it came out, because I finally realized I would never get this beauty. If they had one now and it played Region 1 dvd, I'd still buy it. haha
