Re: New Marvel Cosmic Invasion Trailer Highlights The Hero-Swapping Tag-Team Feature

SoIDecidedTo

Like @Pillowpants said, I'm kind of burned out on anything Marvel. Haven't went to see one of their movies since the last avengers, (Other than Deadpool and Wolverine, but I don't consider that a Marvel movie even though Marvel characters because the tone is so different).

However, this game has me legit interested. I loved the arcade game (Was that '92?) as a kid. So this could legit be the beat-em-up I purchase. Although I still have the TMNT one on my wishlist.

Re: Bandai Namco Is Looking To Revamp 'Shadow Labyrinth' In An Upcoming Update

SoIDecidedTo

I hope to see a re-review once it is updated. It's a game that really interested but I don't have time to commit to a punishingly hard game. I want something like Odyssey or Wonder that I can play for an hour when I have time and not have to GG in order to enjoy it. I do like how in Wonder there are the hard levels. I remember playing a one level on a flight for 2 hours straight until I beat it. (Don't remember the name, but it's the level where platforms appear and disappear in time with the music).

Re: Japanese Charts: Surprise, Surprise, Pokémon Legends: Z-A Leaves The Competition In The Dust

SoIDecidedTo

Mario Kart 8 is not in the top 10? #Nintendoomed!

But seriously, these are GREAT numbers. I have NEVER played a Pokemon game other than Go on my Mobile. But they hype around this one kind of makes me want to give it a try.

People that play, is this something I can pick up and play for 15 minutes at a time, or is it more of a sit-down and play an hour or two at time game?

Re: Poll: How Many New Games Do You Buy In A Year?

SoIDecidedTo

If they were talking about Triple A titles, like Mario, Donkey Kong, Spaltoon, Hades II, etc, it's probably 3 to 4 a year. But from eshop I probably buy about 20 a year minimum. Even though my Back Catalog is massive already, I like to support smaller developers if they make a good product. Some of them I've had for a while and still never played: Neon Abyss and Bendy and the Incredible Ink Machine, I'm looking at you. And I really wanted to play those, but I just stay too busy at work.

Re: Opinion: Ogre Battle 64: Person Of Lordly Caliber's Revolutionary Heart Still Burns Brightly

SoIDecidedTo

This game was so awesome, until it ruined it for me... I'd played a ways in, probably like 10 hours or so and was really enjoying everything about it when it was on the Wii eshop.

But then... I had an enemy pop up and kill me super quickly. I THOUGHT I had saved it recently, but apparently was so engrossed that I had played about 4 or 5 hours without saving. EVERYTHING gone in an instant. I never played it again.

Yes, it was my fault. But at the same time not having a way to reclaim all of the work made me never want to play again. I wasn't going into a big fight or anything, just randomly attacked and slaughtered. My memory is a little fuzzy now on where it was at in the game (it's been 15 years), but I said I'd never play it again and I didn't.

However, if you have NOT played this game before, I highly recommend it. Just save more than my ignorant self.

Re: Turtle Beach Unveils New Range Of Officially Licensed Switch 2 Accessories - Controllers, Cases And More

SoIDecidedTo

@PinderSchloss You're so right! This is like what someone in 1985 would think someone in 2025 would want for their case design. haha

I've actually looking for a case for my Switch 2. I've got the Splatoon 2 case from RDS Industries for my Switch 1 and absolutely love it. The Artwork is awesome and it's got room for 8 carts (or 8 carts and a memory card) and even a zipper pocket. Been with me on probably over 100 trips and still does great. I haven't found an RDS Case that has the zipper pocket for Switch 2. Hopefully they'll come out with one.

Re: SEGA Announces New Olympic Merch Collab, Reigniting Hopes Of A Mario & Sonic Comeback

SoIDecidedTo

When I saw this article earlier today, my first thought was, Now it's going to be Sonic and others and it will leave Nintendo out so that it can go cross platform. Hello Pacman, Crash Bandicoot, Spryro the Dragon, and Lara Croft. And maybe each system gets some of theirs: Nintendo gets Mario, Luigi, and maybe a couple of others. Xbox gets Master Chief, Conker, Banjo. And Sony gets Kratos, Sly Cooper, etc.

Re: Switch 2 Sales In The US Are Outpacing The Original Console By 75%

SoIDecidedTo

@Yosher I have the Donkey Kong game and I'm really looking forward to starting it, but I want to wait until I have a whole weekend to get into it. So probably.... Thanksgiving? haha

I was very disappointed in Madden (although others have told me they like it, I just find it worse than the Maddens of 15 years ago). The Only game that I'm REALLY looking forward to (other than a new Splatoon) is Metroid (which I know will be on Switch 1, but I'm excited to see what it does on the 2)

Re: Review: Hades 2 - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - A Bewitching Sequel That's A Spell Off Perfect

SoIDecidedTo

@LinktotheFuture Yeah, I know that now, but the thing that sucks is that I can ONLY link two systems together. So let's say I was synced to my OG Switch, but then other games are on OLED Switch. When I de-link the OG to get the OLED games, they "release" all the linked games from the OG. It is a way worse system for me than the old way which was seeing if anyone else was playing the game and if not, I could play. It just reaffirms my love of Physical.

Re: Review: Hades 2 - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - A Bewitching Sequel That's A Spell Off Perfect

SoIDecidedTo

I'll be buying this day one physical even though I have to wait until November for it. I already liked physical better, and I want to reward them for putting the game on the cart.

Also, I realized on a recent flight that almost none of my eshop games work without wifi now because of the fact I have the Switch, OLED Switch, and Switch 2. Even though the game is saved on my OG Switch, it won't let me play because I last played it on the OLED or the 2. Luckily I have 8 games with me because they fit in my carrying case.

Re: Madden NFL 26 Updated On Switch 2, Here Are The Patch Notes

SoIDecidedTo

This game is trash to me. I would highly recommend no one to buy it. This game is worse playing than Madden on Wii. That was actually fun. And there are so many simple things they could fix like when switching defenders, instead of having to scroll though all on them in one order, you could all switch in opposite directions. I know I worded that poorly but like if you're on defense, and you have an interior lineman but you want the Right End, you have to click the button 10 times to get to it. Where as on old games, you could click a different button once and go "back".

Also even the stats menus are messed up. You can't go from rushing to passing and back again, you have to cycle through them all. Why is this game worse than one from 15 years ago?

As far as gameplay, the laggy motions (OFFLINE) are deal breakers. I've said before, and I'll say again, I think the reason they won't let you make the 30 second clips in this game is because they don't want people being able to easily post online how janky this is.

Re: No Switch 2 "Upgrade Path" For Dragon Quest VII: Reimagined Planned

SoIDecidedTo

I think my only qualm with this is that it is STILL hard to find Switch 2 systems in the wild. So for people that really want to play the game, and get it on Switch 1, they won't be able to upgrade immediately when they finally get a Switch 2 (which could still be months away).

But at the end of the day it doesn't matter. Most likely anyone playing on Switch one won't want to revisit it later anyway. It's not an evergreen game like rocketleague or splatoon.

Re: Talking Point: As A Nintendo Fan, Do You Really Need To Play The Virtual Boy?

SoIDecidedTo

I loved playing the Virtual Boy at K-Mart as a kid. I was too poor to buy one. I never had the neck pain or anything, but they had it on a shelf that was the right height for me so I pretty much would stand up straight while playing.

Now that this is coming to the switch two, I'm looking forward to see what happens. I was wondering if since the switch 2 has more power if nintendo would try to make a 3d game labo for it. Apparently they will.... but not the way I intended.

Re: Nintendo And Accessory Maker Genki Reach Settlement In Switch 2 Lawsuit

SoIDecidedTo

In all honesty, I'll never buy a Genki product now. It was such a messed up thing to do in my opinion.

It's like when I was a little kid, and before Santa came my sister would say, "You're getting Sim City (for the Super Nintendo) from Santa". It ruined the surprise of Christmas morning. I still enjoyed the game, but ruined the moment.

I still got a Switch 2, I still enjoy it, but I agree with others that the direct would have been way better if I never saw anything about it.

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: Forsaken (N64)

SoIDecidedTo

So here's the thing for me, The American one hit a nerve with me as a kid. Even though I hated the game, I remember the cover and the commercial "The future is forsaken, the future is forsaken, the future is forsaken". It's like Phlanx on the SNES. Seems like a terrible cover but it's probably one of only like 5 games for the N64 the I can close my eyes and remember it exactly.

Re: Poll: Three Months In, How Would You Rate Switch 2's Library So Far?

SoIDecidedTo

@Lord Just curious, have you played DK yet? Or the Mario Kart? I'm actually not that into mario kart any more.

In other news, I think the library is awesome because Cyberpunk, DK, and then ALLLLL the games from Switch. Like even Splatoon 3 looks WAY better on the Switch 2. I'm surprised, I didn't expect a difference. But I notice details that I never noticed on the OLED. So the fact that the Switch 2 has backwards compatibility is MORE than enough games for me. The Switch 2 could only release one game a month and I'd still be happy for a year. Of course after that I would start to expect more. But for now, the back catalog is massive and now I can start Zelda Totk and see what that's all about.

Re: "I Can't Afford To Give It Away For Free" - Silksong's Low Price Is Causing Devs To Re-Evaluate Their Own Games

SoIDecidedTo

This reminds me of when NFL 2k5 released for $20 and was a vastly superior game to Madden 2005 (which I think was $50, but maybe $60). This, of course, lead to the NFL signing an exclusive with EA that really sucked. Especially playing Madden on the Switch 2 this year, I REALLY wish there was another option than this laggy ish.

I think it's smart to put this game at $20. I'm sure they will sell a lot even at $50, but at $20, I think they'll more than make up for the difference. And for the developer saying he can't give his game away for free... (eye roll) There are a LOT of numbers between free and $19.99 (around 2000 of them). So why not price at $6.99, $9.99 or $12.99.

Re: Switch Online's Mature N64 App Expands With Another Title This Week

SoIDecidedTo

@JJtheTexan Dude that's awesome! Let me know what you think. You may be glad you didn't break the seal. I was so hyped for this game when it came out, I still remember the add campaign, "The Future is Forsaken". But playing it, I hated it. Can't remember what it was now, but I just remember being so bummed that it wasn't what I thought it would be. But I was a kid, what do I know? haha

Re: EA SPORTS Madden NFL 26

SoIDecidedTo

@9_10DOH64 That's awesome. I'll try. It sucks that they turned off in game screen recording so I can't show all the jitter in lag which is completely unacceptable in an offline mode game. And this is handheld so no issues with upscaling or anything.

Re: Review: EA SPORTS Madden NFL 26 (Switch 2) - EA's Gridiron Series Finally Plays Ball On A Switch Console

SoIDecidedTo

Oh, and to piggyback my last comment, even the menus are broken. If you go into look at the stats, you can only go one direction, unlike the older games where you could toggle between different positions by doing L and R buttons, this one you can only go one way. This is SO unintuitive and a huge step back. Also, on defense, you can only cycle through players one way, instead of being able to go back and forth between players between snap. Accidentally hit the button too many times (because of the lag), too bad. You now have to hit it 10 more times to get the player you want instead of just hitting another button once to go back.

This game seems like it was made by people that never played Madden. Again, I haven't bought one since the Wii, so maybe the "New Generation" likes this aggravation, but this has been the worst video game experience I've had for a $70 game ever.

If Nintendo allowed refunds, I would do it. How do even the LOADING screens have slow down and jitter? If the loading screen is so bad at scrolling, just put a static picture with a tip about gameplay.

Also, now way to cut out all the cinematic stuff. You have to hold down A to skip it. I've now conditioned myself to just hold down A after almost everything so I can get right back to the play call screen and sometimes it still shoes in an interstitial even though I held A. I just want to play the game with no fluff.

Also, game needs a huge tutorial for new players on all the clutter that they have. It seems I need to do 14 things each week before the game, from scouting to assigning attributes to everything else. There should be a way to just play the game and have the game automate all the clutter that we don't want or need. I get that there are people that WANT to assign their scouts to different sections, but it's something I have no urge to do. I know this seems like a rant, but I just want people to understand what they are getting into before they buy the game.

And if I'm wrong on any of this and there are options to fix the things (especially turning off all the fluff between plays), please let me know. Thanks.

Re: Review: EA SPORTS Madden NFL 26 (Switch 2) - EA's Gridiron Series Finally Plays Ball On A Switch Console

SoIDecidedTo

I was so hype for this game, but consider it garbage. DO NOT PLAY FULL PRICE FOR IT! I don't think it's worth more than $10 to be honest. I feel ripped off paying $70. I REALLY wanted a good Madden game, but overall, this has been the worst controlling video game I've played in years, and the I feel like it is borderline shovelware. How did it get an 8 on here? If I was being GENEROUS I would give it a 3 out of 10. Maybe there is something I'm missing.

I hate that it takes 5 minutes to even get to the game because I have to go through the set up of an EA account JUST TO PLAY THE GAME OFFLINE. With all the lag and jitter when playing solo, why would I EVER torture myself with online play?

I need to look again for a tutorial, but seems very unintuitive for all controls. It's like playing football in wet sand.

Maybe I'm just going through "culture shock" since I haven't played a Madden in a decade, but I would rather play Madden on my Wii than this garbage dump. It's just not fun.

I will edit this and update it if I change my mind, but for now, I would highly recommend NO ONE buy this game unless you REALLY liked how good (BAD) Quarterback Club 1999 was on the N64 by Acclaim.

I think even if this game was $5, right now I'd say it is overpriced. I'll try again later this week and I really hope that it gets a patch to make it more fun and easier to play.

Re: EA SPORTS Madden NFL 26

SoIDecidedTo

I 100% agree with you @9_10DOH64. I wish I had saw this before I paid the $70 for it. This is the most garbage game I've played in roughly 10 years. Madden on the Wii was better.

So many things wrong, the controls are as bad as NFL QB Club by ACCLAIM!!!! from 1999.

The incessant need for "realism" so I can't go from play to play to play without the inbetween chatter is annoying. I've turned off the volume of the game. (If there is a way to make it automatically take you to the play select screen after ever play ends, please let me know).

The music is lame since they bleep everything out. If you don't want cursing in the game, DON'T PICK EXPLICIT SONGS!

This game takes 5 to 10 minutes to set up just to get started with the game. LAME.

Can't capture screenshots or videos, probably because they KNOW this game is broken.

Play selection sucks. I like the old school madden where i pick formation, and then pick package, and play.

I have NO idea how to do read options. Every time they just hand the ball off when I'm trying to pass. No tutorial at all on how to play the game.

Players are so sluggish, like everyone is running wet sand.

The game has jitter and lag when playing ONE player OFFLINE!

I really wish I could get a refund on this. If I didn't just spend $70 on it, I would probably never play it again. I should have bought physical so I could sell it. I would gladly take $50 for this garbage now.

It sucks because I was SO HYPE FOR THIS GAME!!! I've literally been waiting for time to play it. How does Madden ruin Madden? It really makes me wish Sega could do NFL 2k25 for the system. No matter how bad that would be, it's probably better than this. Seriously, control reminds me of Quarterback Club 1999 on the N64 (whichever one had Farve on the cover).

BUYER BEWARE! 1 star.

I'll try it again later this week and really search for a tutorial that explains everything. Maybe I can find a way to make it better, but the sluggishness makes it borderline unplayable at the moment.
