Re: Latest 'Switch 2' Rumour Suggests Nintendo Is Preparing For An Enormous Launch

SilentHunter382

My key hopes are that they are backwards compatible with physical games (nothing said on this even though they said that there is backwards compatible) and improved conformance.

Not expecting for all games to go full 60fps but would like games that had an inconsistent frame rate to become a solid frame rate (regardless if it is 30 or 60).

Those are the most important things for me. Anything else is a bonus.

Re: Feature: "We Tested 60fps In Pre-Production, But The Smoothness Felt Unnatural"

SilentHunter382

Sometimes if the reason is good enough then I am ok with 30 but the reason has to be really justifiable. I am a 60fps snob but I remember the reason for south park stick of truth being 30 also was to emulate the show and having it at 30 keeps the more jank animation look compared to 60.

And to me that is a very valid argument to have. Just saying it is more cinematic isn't really a good argument and feels more like a cop-out.

with question 11. While I didn't have to send in my Switch in for repaired I did have to send in my Dock in for repairs as it was failing to display anything. Lucky I had my friend bring his switch and dock with him one day to be able to troubleshot it to make the request easier.

Re: Atlus To Delist Shin Megami Tensei V & All DLC From Switch eShop

SilentHunter382

Overall I do understand them delisting the game but you would think they would atleast keep the dlc for people who don't want to get the new version but still want to get the dlc.

I know Koei did this with the Atelier series on steam when the DX versions of some of there games got released. They removed the ability to buy the older version but kept the dlc for those games on those store pages. I think that is the best way to handle it.

Re: Poll: Are You Bothered By The Frame Rate For Paper Mario: TTYD On Switch?

SilentHunter382

I never played the original so I want to get it but I am disappointed to hear that it was 60 fps to 30 fps in this remake.

Now I am a person who will always want 60 over 30 but there are a few select games that are fine with 30. Like turn based game which this is.

Now if the original was 30 fps then I wouldn't be bothered to to be honest but knowing that it has a downgrade in fps does leave a bad taste though.

Re: Reaction: Nintendo's Switch Emulator Fallout Is Shocking Only Because It Took This Long

SilentHunter382

My rule when it comes to piracy is that I will not do it if I can still buy it in a way that the publisher and devs get money from the game. If there is no legal way for me to get the game and in some way the devs and publisher get money from it then I will go that route. If not then pirating the game won't affect their bottom line.

I have used the Yuzu emulator but I will only play games on it that I actually own for the system (either physical or digitally) as I already have given nintendo my money for the game so I want to be able to play the game at the best possible experience with better framerate and resolution (if it doesn't affect framerate).

Re: Pokémon Presents February 2024: Every Announcement, Full Livestream

SilentHunter382

The trailer did nothing for me but I am still excited about it. Then the ending of it really did it for me. I am shocked that they are bringing back megas (though it would make sense as it is gen 6 based but still). Happy to see that they are returning to the gimick that is the most popular of the 4 gimmicks (though I have not done enough in gen 9 Tera is the best as it does change the gameplay more so then megas as with megas you can expect what the mega will be but with tera you have to think ahead).

Re: 'Alisa Developer's Cut' Channels PS1 Survival Horror In All The Right Ways

SilentHunter382

Played the game on steam. Fantastic game and is defo recommended for old school RE fans.

Just a heads up for anyone looking to play this game and get all the endings. There is a new game +, and the endings go from A to D (or E can't fully remember). When you clear the game first time or new save and lets say you get ending B and start New game plus, you are locked out of getting ending A (not say why spoiler reasons) but you can get ending B or below.

And if you get say ending C on NG+ and start NG+ again then you can't get ending A or B again but can get ending C or downwards. So just be aware of that. So if you want to get ending A in my example then you need to start the game again from scratch. I was lucky to get ending A on my first playthrough so I can work my way downwards for all the endings for each clear with NG+.

Re: 'Switch 2' Will Be An Iterative Evolution And Will Cost $400, Predicts Analyst

SilentHunter382

They need to increase the power alot and not just an small bump like they did going from gamecube to wii. It isn't just for the common expectation of graphics but more so for 3rd party publishers.

Here are some of the must haves I want in the switch 2 if it going to be the same concept.

  • I want the screen to be OLED or have 2 versions one LED and one OLED as a premium version but both version spec wise is the same (like the PS5 where digital and disc version are the same unlike the xbox series consoles). The second point is only a option if the LED one is cheaper then the $400 OLED model.
  • Backwards compatibility. This is the No.1 for me. Having backwards compatibility is great but I don't want it being a halfass job. I want it to boost the performance of games. Now I am not expect all games to run at 60fps but I do want games that have an unstable framerate to be boosted to a locked framerate of 30fps (and if the game was unlocked and hovering between 30 and 60 then I expect it to be at 60fps). This also go for controllers too.
  • I would like the screen to be bumped up to a 1080p resolution. Bigger screen would be nice for me but that could also be an issue for others.

These are what I am hoping. If backwards compatibility isn't included then I won't be buying a switch 2 for atleast 2 years later. If it is included and does do what I would like it to do then I will defo buy it day one if there is good exclusives or in the first few months of release.

Re: Feature: "Doing Things A Bit Differently" - Blending Final Fantasy & Devil May Cry Combat In 'Worldless'

SilentHunter382

Just wishlisted it on Steam as watching the trailer has me interested. It has a demo for it also so I think I will download it now to see if I will keep it on my wishlist or not.

Ok played the demo for a bit it felt like a calming game until I encountered a boss. Took my 6th attempted at it till I beat only to then find out a second later it was only phase 1 of the boss. holy crap this game is going to kick my ass. Still like the game though.

Re: Wario's New Voice Actor Confirms Role On Social Media

SilentHunter382

While it still a great performance I will still always perfer Charlie's voice more. Still it will take time for people to get use to the voice if he stays on as the voice.

It has happened in many other games where voices have been replaced and people hated the new voice actor/actress.

Happened with RE wesker. So many different voice actors until D.C Dougles (which I think was the 3rd or 4th VA for the character). His first attempt at the character wasn't good and people didn't like the voice until RE5 where a vast majority of the community agree that his performance in that game was the best wesker in the series.

Give it time and a few more game. You just never know that a va can improve on a characters voice.

Re: Review: Pikmin 2 - Still A Sublime Time, Even Without The 7-Up Bottle Cap

SilentHunter382

I am not too bothered with real life brands in the game being removed (Sure I get some people will miss it as it was part of the charm for people who already played it).

For me, the only time where seeing real life brands that make sense are sports games (like fifa) and simulation racing games (like forza motorsport but not forza horizon as that is more of an arcade racer) as it adds more to the immersion.
