Re: Nintendo Wins $2.1 Million In Lawsuit Against ROM Website

SilentHunter382

When it comes to having a paid system (no matter the style) then I will be on Nintendo's side when it comes to taking down these websites but if they just have game games for download with no monetary gain from doing so then I am against Nintendo on this.

I have pirated games but I will only pirate games that fall under the "grey market". This means that if a game can't be bought legit in a digital store font digital or new (without costing an arm and a leg) then I will download it. I have done this with may PC games only for then GOG to add them to their store page to buy and I buy them right away as I want to show that I am willing to buy these older games if given the chance.

Same goes for Nintendo games. If they offered a way for me to buy their older titles in a digital form atleast then I wouldn't have to go and download them elsewhere as I rather have these games legit as possible.

Re: Soapbox: Pokémon Legends: Arceus' Release Date Worries Me, But Hopefully I'm Wrong

SilentHunter382

I am more excited for bdsp then legends just cause the the trailer didn't look good. The concept is fantastic and is the right direction for pokemon to go in for a spin off title but what I saw wasn't great.

I would have gotten bdsp on launch day but with Final fantasy xiv expanion releasing on that day (early access) it would be pointless for me to get it as my focus would be on xiv.

Re: Yes, Link's Improved "Fast Travel" In Skyward Sword HD Really Does Seem To Be Locked Behind An amiibo

SilentHunter382

I am not a fan of them adding qol, difficulty or dlc (like with twilight princess) to amiibos. ok sure if they want to add DLC to the figures that is fine as long as they release the dlc at a much cheaper price (including skins) that would be at least fine.

I can understand the increase price on some amiibos. But when you start adding qol or diffulity like with Seamus returns and again twilight princess with the Ganon amiibo that is just scummy to me.

Re: It Seems Game Builder Garage Will Only Be Available On The eShop In Europe

SilentHunter382

@Scapetti I still prefer to own physical games. Look at the PS3 for example with the CMOS bomb. If Sony stop supporting the PS3 and killing the ability to connect to the servers then your digital games are no more if your CMOS battery dies.

PS4 and most likely 5 (was only tested on a digital only version) have it much worst where both physical and digital titles become unplayable.

But here is the thing. If that happens I can just sell my physical PS4/5 collection but you can't do that with digital.

Re: 1080° Snowboarding Creator Announces Carve Snowboarding For Oculus VR

SilentHunter382

@Steel76 I was like that too. I suffer motion sickness and when I tried VR the first time I went on longer then I should have. Did the same thing the second say so I put off for a week.

After that I started doing shorter sessions like 15m a day then increased it from there when I am at the point that I can go long periods of time without suffering MS.

Re: Nintendo Is Suing A Reported "Leader" Of The Notorious Piracy Group Team Xecuter

SilentHunter382

@Dr_Lugae The problem is even if nintendo did keep every game and source code unless they release them to be sold in a digital or physical format then I see them as abandoned ware (abandoned ware is piracy but is only called that when there is no way to buy a game new or digitally).

Example the Super mario 3d all stars. While that has been pulled from digital stores and eventually all the physical versions will start to go higher then RRP then in a few years that game will be classed as abandoned ware unless they re-release it again or release the games separately.

I have downloaded many abandoned ware games over the years because companies don't offer a way for me to buy either the game physically new or digitally.

SilentHunter382

@JasmineDragon "Wait, there's also a standard Switch box? WTF for? Who out there is saying yeah, I love steelbooks, but Imma be real mad if I don't also get the bog-standard plastic box with my steelbook?"

when it comes to the expensive editions I expect to have the standard box and the steelbook if they are offering a steelbook as a bonus. I don't mind only getting the steelbook if it is the steelbook edition.

Re: Feature: Zelda: Phantom Hourglass Is Secretly One Of The Best Zeldas

SilentHunter382

The game had some good ideas. Never liked the controls and would have liked to have traditional movement controls. Temple of the Ocean King is the thing that just added padding to the game when it didn't need it.

There is nothing wrong with having a shorter experience and sometimes padding can help a game also but here it left a sour experience IMO where it isn't bottom tier game but not a good one either. I would say just a middle of the road experience.

Honestly the only memorable part for me was the part you said in your artical kate where I spent ages trying to figure out a puzzle. I was doing the same things. Closed it in frustration and opened it again after that bit of anger only to find out it was completed.

Re: Talking Point: Is The N64 Pad Actually The Best Controller Ever?

SilentHunter382

For me it was the worst controller I have used for a Nintendo console. Now I didn't grow up with the N64 and was a very late in buying one (as in 360/PS3 era). The big issue was there was no correct/wrong way in holding it and it was impossible to use all the buttons at once on which way you held it without having to shift your hand.

There have been other controllers that have been worst like the wii u but I still found the controller comfortable to use.

Re: Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster File Size Revealed

SilentHunter382

@Thoughts @ModdedInkling Honestly I can understand why Dante is a paid dlc. It is either have him as a paid dlc to pay the licence cost to capcom to have him in there or just not have him at all in the game to not pay that licence fee. It really wouldn't have mattered either way as he just replaced one of the characters anyway.

Re: Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster File Size Revealed

SilentHunter382

I will be getting physical when it is released.

@Nico_D They added an easier difficultly to the game so that shouldn't be an issue for people who found the original hard or intimidating for newer players.

@Kimyonaakuma Ya I am not sure but I think the Japanese only had Japanese vo while the western version get both English and Japanese.

Re: Shin Megami Tensei III Remaster Launches This May On Switch

SilentHunter382

I will be getting it but not sure which version I want to buy. Switch, PS4 or PC. I am leaning more on the switch version but it will all depend if the performance is solid enough. I don't care about if it is 60 fps or not (even though I would like it to be) as it is a turn based game but if the switch version has fps dips and the ps4 and pc version doesn't then I will be going with the latter if that is the case.

Re: Talking Point: Here's Why You Shouldn't Be Worried About The Rumoured Switch Pro's 720p Screen

SilentHunter382

Tbh I don't care if it was a higher res or not. I rather have consistent Res and more importantly FPS. I will always sacrifice graphics and res for higher or consistent fps.

On a 7" screen you would still see a difference in quality between 720p and 1080p. What these people are saying is that the 7" screen is not going to take full advantage of 1080p.

The only thing that is correct is that a higher res will have a higher impact on the battery but that is where Nintendo needs to put in a better battery for the more energy that the system will be using.

Re: Poll: Do You Like The Chibi Art Style In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl?

SilentHunter382

I don't hate chibi art style but something about the character models in the overworld I don't like. The in battle models I am ok with (bar the faces the look too flat and seem less expressive then the still faces of the 2d games but that is still early days).

Everything else I love about it but after being burned with SwSh I wi not be preordering it and waiting for release day to see what people have to say about the game then get it afterward after people have found out what is in the game (like maybe platinum extra).

The only thing that has me excited about is that game freak is not working on it so that does give me hope.

Re: Controversial Rising Sun Design Removed From Street Fighter II's Re-Release

SilentHunter382

To me as long as it doesn't the context of the game then it really doesn't bother me.

If I remember correctly it was either apple or google that started removing apps and games from their service that contained the confederate flag. The problem is that this included civil war games.

If it just a background piece then I don't care but if they are trying to remove something that was part of a historical event then that would be an issue to me as I see it trying to change history.

Re: Soapbox: Zelda: Skyward Sword Is Good, Actually

SilentHunter382

This is the only Zelda game that I didn't finish (I own all the nintendo games). Not sure why? I don't know if I was bored of the game or other games at the time caught my interest. It wasn't the motion controls as I loved TP on wii with its half ass motion controls.

Still when i pick up the HD version I will defo be playing it with traditional buttons.

Re: 505 Games Is Publishing Suikoden Successor Eiyuden Chronicle, But A Switch Release Is TBC

SilentHunter382

Very disappointed when I saw the KS post saying it was 505 after how they handled Bloodstained during the campain to release. The only thing is I backed it for either the physical PC version but may change it later to the PS5 version if possible.

Honestly they would be better off waiting to release the game on the next nintendo console. I know they have a planed release of Oct 2022 but every single video game I have back has always been delayed so I don't expect to see this game released until 2023.

Re: Resident Evil Returns To The Big Screen On September 3rd

SilentHunter382

@henrysbloggin "I think it would depend on the context and situation. If, like I said, a character’s race wasn’t integral to the plot or the themes being explored, then I don’t think it’s worth severe backlash."

I 100% agree with you. Honestly I don't care what nationality the actor or actress is as long as they do a good job with the character or that the characters keep the nationality of said character the same.

I remember seeing the trailer for that Fan4stic movie and was annoyed to see that the way the cast was pick. They should have made Sue also have been a poc because Johnny and Sue are biological brother and sister and not adopted as the movie said.
