Re: Bayonetta's OG Voice Actor Asks Fans To "Boycott" Third Game After PlatinumGames Wage Fallout

SilentHunter382

@Kang81 "To the people saying it's an easy job, I'm sure it's not. If it was, I'd being in the voice acting business instead of breaking my back at work. 🙄🤦‍♂️"

I agree. I got mad people saying that it is an easy weeks work. What these people fail to take into account is VA is not a stable job. You could have a job lined up right after doing another but it could be months or even over a year before you get another role.

Re: Random: Oh No, The Internet Thinks Chris Pratt As Mario Sounds Like Linda From Bob's Burgers

SilentHunter382

@Anti-Matter "If you really disappointed by the cast of Mario movie just hush, let other peoples enjoy the movie."

I don't like this attitude of "If you don't like it don't say anything". You have to allow people have a voice on things they either love or hate. If people say that quote then that person shouldn't post anything they don't like at all period or else you become a hypocrite.

Example. If people didn't criticizes the model of Sonic in the first reveal trailer, then the studio wouldn't have redesigned it and it may have never became one of the most successful video game movie franchises.

Same with No Man Sky. If people didn't say anything No Man Sky may not have be become a fantastic game.

It is good to criticizes as it may allow companies or an actor/actress to make changes for the better. Sure most of the time they just ignore it. Now the time you should hush or stay quite is when you start to attack someone as a person or start sending death treats as that doesn't help anyone. Voicing your disappointment to persons performances is not attacking them personally.

Re: Video: Masahiro Sakurai Talks About Frame Rates In Games

SilentHunter382

Anything that require fast movement or input (shooters and fighters) need to be 60 fps. Hell even adventure games like 3d zelda games should be 60 fps also. Exceptions would be any turn based game. While it is nice to have 60 for smoother animation it doesn't affect the game in a gameplay sense.

So overall if you are moving your character and are attacking the enemies in real time then games should be 60 fps as standard nowadays.

EDIT: Also I do agree that 30fps is adequate but doesn't mean you should stick with the bear minimum. This is why I am glad that the current gen consoles are gives people a small taste of control to what settings they prefer. Do you want higher res and graphics but at the cost of fps or higher fps at the cost of res and graphics. I main on pc and I will always sacrifice graphics and the res to get a solid 60 fps.

Re: Random: Masahiro Sakurai Reminds Nintendo Fans About 3DS & Wii U eShop Closure Dates

SilentHunter382

So far I went full crazy on getting dlc for the 3ds games that I don't have.

I got:

  • All the Fire Emblem dlcs
  • All the songs for Final Fantasy theatrhythm curtain call (this was horrible to do as you had to buy each song individually).
  • Both the case dlc for the 3ds Ace Attorney games.
  • Fantasy Life Expansion

Debating:

  • All the dlc for each of the Shin Megami Tensei games that are not item packs.

I am not sure if there are any other must have dlc for games that I have.

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - The Legend Of Zelda: The Minish Cap

SilentHunter382

Sometimes Nostalgia bias can get to me with cover art and I love the game when I first played it when it was released but in this situation is a no contest. The Japanese cover tells you what the game gimmick is going to be even if you never played the game. Sometimes game covers will only click with you if you have played the game. The NA and EU covers are generic and are pretty boring.

Sometimes by adding more to a cover you can make it even more boring then if you just added the games name logo to the box.

Re: Hideki Kamiya: Nintendo Hasn't Ever Asked Platinum To Cover Up Bayonetta

SilentHunter382

@nocdaes While that could be true. What I think might have happened is that while Nintendo may not have said anything they might have done both an uncensored and censored models at the same time.

That way if they only did the uncensored models and Nintendo came along asked them to censored it. Now with them having done both models they thought of pitching this idea to Nintendo as to give the customer an option of which one they preferred and then Nintendo approved it.

Now I am not saying that happened but it is faster for development to make additional changes at the time of creating the model to make a censored version then it is months later.

Re: Hideki Kamiya: Nintendo Hasn't Ever Asked Platinum To Cover Up Bayonetta

SilentHunter382

I am the same when it comes to forced censorship. But when developers add in an option for people who rather play it censored or not then that is great as that gives people a choice on what why they want to play it.

This makes both sides of the argument when censorship happens happy as they have a choice and not a forced choice that will make once side upset.

Re: Zelda: Twilight Princess HD Dev Would "Love" To Bring The Game To Switch

SilentHunter382

TBH if both WW and TP aren't released this year then I would say they would be better off waiting until the next system is released. Cause next year will be botw2 and that is when we will start to see info about a new Nintendo console at the end of the year.

It would be find to release both of them for the switch if the next system is backwards compatible but if not then I would rather them keep it for the next system.

Re: Nintendo Says It Wants To Avoid A Repeat Of Wii U With Switch's Successor

SilentHunter382

There is some key points that need to show off that the next system is an upgrade then a new system.

  • Have backward compatibility for the old system. Show this off in the reveal trailer with all our old games (both physical and digital). And also make both new controllers and past controllers work for the new system games and switch games.
  • Start the reveal trailer off saying something like "The next generation of switch is here", That way people will know that this is a next generation system. This seems very basic but it will drill into peoples head that this is a new system.
  • Show off all the new games that will be coming to the system first but have people know that this is a new system upfront. Then later in the trailer reveal that it is backward compatible
  • If they want to keep the switch name and brand (as in the hybrid model) then they need to name it the "Switch 2" and not something like the "Switch Pro" as most people will think it is just an upgrade version of the switch. Naming is very important here.

Re: Capcom Reiterates That 13GB Monster Hunter Rise Update Will Be Mandatory For Online Play

SilentHunter382

@Silly_G yep that is the case for majority of the games as it is easier for the developers to just add the dlc as a flag.

While games like final fantasy xiv will only download the expansion if you own it (like locations, dungeons etc) but will force everyone to download everything else (like gear, mounts etc) that other players can see even in the starting zones.

But I do wish that developers do the second option as it doesn't force people to download unnecessary data on the person.

Re: A New Limited-Time Pokémon Sword And Shield Distribution Event Has Begun

SilentHunter382

@RubyCarbuncle " I wish these people would stop commenting if they don't like them. If I don't like something I don't say anything it really isn't that hard."

This response to people complaining I really don't like. Sure I get that you hate seeing negative comments but if people don't voice their opinions of something then changes to games won't happen. Do you think No Man Sky would be a success now without people voicing their opinions?

Now there is a point where you can go way too far. When someone begins to insult someone's appearance and start sending death treats then that is the point where you should just don't say anything. We get that you may not like things in a game but as soon as you go down that path you lost any argument you may have no matter how valid they are.

Re: Talking Point: Is It Ever A Good Idea To Start At 'The Beginning' Of Series Like Zelda Or Dragon Quest?

SilentHunter382

While I do agree that sometimes starting from the start and see how the series has evolved is a good thing but I don't hold it agains people wanting to start with the newer games.

To the people that do that and go backward they need to take into account that alot of the qol changes they have in the modern games won't be in the older games and need to understand that. If they don't like the older games that is fine but to downright dismiss it or say that is sucks then that will lose some respect you have on the series that you like.

Re: Rumour: Fortnite Might Be Getting A Permanent 'No-Build' Mode

SilentHunter382

TBH while I played fortnite a few years back (on PC) I wasn't good at the building but that aspect is what made it different to other BR games.

Now I have no problem if it is an extra gamemode and doesn't outright replace the original game mode. Having more options is always a good thing as it will allow players to play the gamemode how they want.

If it replaces it permanently then that is a really bad idea.

Re: Round Up: The Rune Factory 5 Reviews Are In

SilentHunter382

My limited edition arrived just now. Will be playing it later this evening. Could the performance be better, 100%. But I have been looking forward to this game since they announced the localisation.

EDIT: I opened it and I am disappointed that when watching unboxings of the US version they got a little manual in their game case but for the EU version there isn't one.
