Re: LEGO Pokémon Reveals First Sets, Launches February 2026

For everyone complaining about the prices ... LEGO typically charges 10 - 12 cents per piece. So the bigger the piece count, the bigger the price. Granted it does not matter what size the actual pieces are - a 1 X 1 stud and a 24 X 24 plate will essentially have the same price. But just based on piece count, these sets are on the lower end of the price per piece sets and do not seem to include a licensing tax compared to the Star Wars sets and others.

First of all let me preface my comment with the fact that I have never played a Pokemon game nor do I even care about the series. That being said, I did watch the AGDQ finale and there are reasons it took adef over 3 hours to complete his run.

The donors got to pick the Pokemon and with the encouragement of adef himself, picked from what I understand were the weakest of the Pokemon. Once adef defeated a trainer, the next one adef used was again picked by the donors. Lather, rinse, repeat. adef also modded the game giving him a skill for the weaker Pokemon to overcome their weaknesses, otherwise he would still be playing out this run 3 days later.

Unfortunately during the run, some jackass decided it would be fun to pull the fire alarm which necessitated everyone having to leave mid-stream. But overall it was still a fun watch and raised a ton of money for a great cause.

Re: Mario Tennis Fever Officially Reveals amiibo Functionality And Every amiibo Supported

Of course they are a waste of money ... as most collectibles are. But truth be known I have all of the Super Mario amiibo listed but none of the non-Zelda Smash Bros amiibo. The Super Mario amiibo are much nicer that the Smash Bros. I started collecting the Zelda themed ones as they were being released - so I had a complete set when BotW was released and didn't have to pay exorbitant secondary market prices for them.

The Zelda amiibo are still the only ones I collect - even as Nintendo themselves have now entered into the exorbitant first market price game. Still waiting for the Mineru amiibo though ( and yes, I already have the nfc card for it ). amiibo drops are better in BotW than they are in TotK though as the weapons they drop in BotW scale up as you progress into the game - gloom weapon drops in TotK simply suck. And I like the TotK Sages amiibo a heckuva lot more than the actual Sage abilities - which I turn off as soon as I complete their respective dungeons.

At this point I have more amiibo than I do games for my consoles. And with the recently updated release calendar for Switch 2 games, that will not be changing any time soon. ... So no Mario Tennis for me.

Re: Nintendo Switch 2: All Confirmed Games & Release Dates

Absolutely nothing of interest to me personally. I understand FFVII Intergrade has to be on a game key card, but I already have it for my PS5 ( although not much else tbh ). My Switch 2 is slowly collecting dust at this point outside of the occasional dip into the lastest Age of Imprisonment content. I probably bought everything in sight during the original Switch's first year, but I have been extremely selective in my Switch 2 purchases and at times weeks have gone by without even turning it on.

@Gaymer90 How much of the attach rate is due to the bundle - especially with the essentially $ 30 discount on the game ? I bought one bundle console for a friend and one basic console for myself. I'm not an MK fan in general and have no interest in playing the game. Don't forget, when the OG Switch launched, there was a better than 1:1 attach rate for BotW because people bought the game at launch who could not buy the console.
