Ugh ... Nintendo reverting back to sidekick characters .... no thanks. Was not a fan of the Direct ... showing my age but the the visuals were overwhelming and the narrator was annoyingly over the top.

Oh and btw ... you can reset most of what you find on Zelda Notes .. if, God forbid .. you delete your save data when you start a new game. Although I don't think it resets the Voice Memories or the My Play Data.

@Shepdawg1 The Switch 2 battery does not fare very well either - so they pair up wonderfully !!!

What is it with the truly bitter comments ? If you don't like it, don't use it. Otherwise get a grip, people !!! ... Having played through both games without a guide, I think it will be useful with replays to speed things up a bit. Zelda has never truly been a collect-a-thon - and the items you get for being a completionist are rather disappointing ( not only the Koroks, but the depths towers and Addison's and Koltin's rewards ). But Zelda Notes is very useful if you want to pursue them. The question is I have for Nintendo is ... now that they have given this to us ... how long will it be before they take it away ?

It will have to do until a Switch 2 version of the grip case they had for the OG Switch was released. That was awesome. They did not update it for the OLED so I do not have my hopes up. Satisfye is good but I prefer first party or other official accessories.

The Hori case is the best !!! Just bought two new ones for my potential Switch 2 games ... although that was before I was aware what game key cards were.

The game looks and runs incredible !!! ... Zelda Notes is alright although I use a tablet instead of my phone for the bigger screen. .... Gonna miss my easy dupe glitches from 1.1.1 version though. LOL

The new pro controller just feels awesome in the hands. Solid. Not plastic-y.

I would think the $40 amiibo would be another caveat.

@Ryu_Niiyama Update ... I just happened to browse the Nintendo Online Shop again today ... and lo and behold I was able to order a GameCube controller AND an extra dock without having to need an invitation.

Ah yes ... that fresh new console smell ... soon it will be available as an air freshener you can hang from your rear view mirror ...

@Ryu_Niiyama Would have been nice to receive actual notice from Nintendo. Instead all I have received are offers for downloadable wallpapers for having played Mario Wonder, Echoes of Wisdom and Tears of the Kingdom. Who else but Nintendo comes up with this kind of garbage ?

So the base game is ''only'' $ 10 ... but then there are the hidden costs. This is easily the hardest hard pass ever !!!

And of course it's listed as being Sold Out on the US Nintendo Shop Online ... having previously been listed as ''Invite Only'' ... for which I am still waiting for my invitation.

My preorder arrived from Walmart early this morning before I had to leave for work. Well at least part of the preorder. The console and the pro controller arrived this morning. The other accessories and the amiibo I ordered will arrive tomorrow. The two items I received this morning were also each accompanied by a promotional walmart gift bag with a can of Pringles and a bottle of orange cream coca cola.

I will just have to remember the good time I had with the handheld game. I am not forking over a dime for a game key card. Which means unfortunately I will likely never play any SquareEnix games on Switch 2 - including Final Fantasy VII Remake - as it appears none of the pending SE releases for the Switch 2 are actual game cartridges. Alas. it was too good to be true to have SE games on carts on 2. And it will likely apply to any Kingdom Hearts which of course had the lame cloud version releases on 1.

SquareEnix is all in on the game key cards - even for their smaller games. I suspect they will re-release the Kingdom Hearts games for Switch 2 as game key cards as well - and probably at 80 bucks a pop.

Great ! Can we get one for Tears of the Kingdom ??? This awesome game is getting way too much hate online.

@TwinFami I hear ya. I started another playthrough of TotK the week before the Direct, not knowing that there would be such a playtime requirement. So even if Nintendo excluded the hundreds of hours I have for all of the Zelda games on Switch, the hours I had put in just that week prior should qualify me. The NES came out when I was in high school, but my earliest Nintendo game was Donkey Kong on the ColecoVision !!!

@StewdaMegaManNerd I work in an office where I literally have wall decals of the entire Peanuts gang on the walls ... along with many of the Looney Tunes characters ... and many of the little ones these days have no idea who any of them are.

@StewdaMegaManNerd Trust me ... a lot of the youngin's nowadays do not have a clue who he or any of the Peanuts gang are. They know how to use their cell phones. They haven't a clue as to who Snoopy and the gang are.

Was this the only notification anyone ever received ? I never received any further emails confirming i would receive an invitation.

Priority requirements are as follows: As of 4/2/2025, (i) you must have been the one who purchased any Nintendo Switch Online membership,

(ii) you must have had any paid Nintendo Switch Online membership for a minimum of 12 months

DOUBLE CHECK !!!

and (iii) you must have opted in to share gameplay data and have at least 50 hours total gameplay hours.

TRIPLE CHECK !!!

Yo-Nope-Bo is now saying Invite Required ... it had said it was Unavailable earlier today. The dock and the joy con straps do not appear to be available for pre-order yet.

No invite yet here. And it appears that Yu-Nope-Bo will still be unavailable even on the the Nintendo Store. The other amiibo are invite only pre-order.

Has anyone in the US received an invite to pre-order from the Nintendo shop website yet ? They updated the consoles to "invite Required" but it is grayed out as i have not yet received an invitation.

For $70, this game had better have ALL the bells and whistles. Still not gonna buy it though. Never bought the recent DK HD game either.

Amen. Age of Calamity got me through my father's passing from dementia at the end of 2020 ... on top of being in a nursing home during the height of the pandemic.
