My prediction is that when it's revealed it will look like the master sword

@iLikeUrAttitude You have to put a bunch of money down normally for First4Figures and when preorders happen they do a made to order thing generally so it won't sell out.

Love the 10 dollars off to push FOMO, as these cost an arm and a leg and I personally think their designs often look pretty bad.

Still waiting for them to do Krystal from Star Fox, specifically in her outfit from Star Fox: Assault. That is my favorite outfit of hers, even though most people associate her with her tribal wear from Star Fox Adventures.

I don’t mind paying premium for a really solid statement piece for the shelf, but it’s got to be pristine.

@JohnnyMind I think an example would be that after a person passes away there's a (good?) chance it will find its way to the dumpster. Individuals have a lot of possessions, so unless someone going through the 'leftovers' of a house/apartment wants it, cares/knows what this is to pass it on or even has the time to go piece by piece, they will save themselves the trouble by conveniently tossing it in the dump. Its not my argument but this example can/ does happen

@JohnnyMind I agree and luckily it sounds like this company fulfills these orders on a 'made upon order' basis. If anything, I think it is important that we take into consideration now what actually will happen to our stuff after we pass (as morbid as that may sound), so that we can make more informed purchases or take the time now to make sure these items find a proper home one day, even if that means downsizing at some point. Ideally, we would want the next of kin to (be able to) do the right thing with our stuff, which again may not be feasible based on volume or convenience or care, so even having a conversation like this could be beneficial. But being a magnet to tons of 'impractical' items like this (its not like a microwave or something you 'use' ) and simply assuming it goes to a good home probably isn't enough. Ive been witness to a few houses being cleaned and even a few staples that made the place a 'home', whether its pictures on the walls, clocks, furniture, whatever dont find homes, which is unfortunate

Edit: in case its not clear I do think that automatically labeling these or any collectibles as future waste is a bit harsh, since one could take a further step back and say just about anything we own could be considered that, including our precious video games 😄

If they made a Yunobo one I might buy it, but these are way too expensive for just a big plastic sword.

While I'm intrigued, these are 1. Pricey, and 2. Something else I'd have to dust.

As much as I love TotK, I could not possibly care less that this exists. Now if they were to make a Ganondorf statue from TotK ... take my money !!!

Even for First4, this seems like it’s going to be a pricey one, at a time when people generally are using their money for other people? Weird timing. And yeah have to agree that having seen their stuff before, I was surprised how low quality they looked for the money they tend to cost. Way better options out there (eg Prime 1) for people with cash to burn, IMO.

I'm a huge fan of the Zelda series but I really wouldn't know what to do with this. I guess I'm more interested in videogames when it comes to... videogames.

I wonder if the design helps avoid any issues with it being considered a weapon

@JohnnyMind so, I’ve had to help move my mother out of her condo and into assisted living, and now into a nursing home. Priority to that, I help with the same process for her sister, and her mother. All had accumulated a lot of stuff that they spent good money on and viewed as heirlooms. None of these were things anyone today had any interest in owning. Usually, this is a process that plays out over a very brief period of time. I move the things that are needed (bed, chair, tv, dresser, clothing, etc), then whatever fits from the photos (top priority) to souvenirs, collectables, and other things to give as much of a homey feeling as possible. The rest is given to family (aside from newer electronics, nothing goes this way), then free if you pick up on FB marketplace (or similar), then everything that I can carry myself to goodwill, then try to recruit someone with a truck for a dump run (or 6). Those collectables that were popular a decade or more ago? With few exceptions (ie: 1950’s baseball cards), nobody wants. If the owner tried to guild a relative into taking something, they will typically oblige and toss at the first opportunity.

Every generation has these collectables (funco pops, beanie babies, precious moments, hummels, Norman Rockwell collectables plates, China sets, etc). The only thing that I’ve come across that is remotely worth dealing with is sterling silver flatware (since silver prices have doubled in the last year). The rest is mass produced stuff where demand is non-existent, or “limited editions” (which means “limited to how many we can sell). Collectors have short attention spans. Most of these items are “future trash” because we are all looking for the next big thing and have short attention spans…

I wouldn't be able to put this on my shelf. I would just look at it and imagine Fi saying "There's an 85% probability that I AM IN A LOT OF PAIN, 'MASTER!'"
