Re: ICYMI: Nintendo's Keeping amiibo Alive On Switch 2 With New Zelda: TOTK Collection

Looking forward to these ... even though the Sage abilities themselves kinda sucked ... and the Sages' amiibo are $ 4 more each than the Champions' amiibo for BotW. Plus the Champions' amiibo were released 8 months after BotW along with the Champions' getting their own DLC. These are being released two years after TotK and there has been no DLC. But other than all of that, very much looking forward to these.

Re: Zelda: BOTW Switch 2 Edition Won't Include The DLC, Nintendo Confirms

I was willing to buy the physical cartridges for Switch 2 editions of both BotW and TotK - even though I already have the switch online expansion pass to get the upgrades for free. But with this news, I will not only pass on the physical cartridges, I will be passing on the Switch 2 altogether until the new Zelda game is released. **** ALL THE WAY OFF, NINTENDO !!!

Re: Nintendo: Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment Is A "Canonical Tale"

I, for one, LOVED Age of Calamity. I thoroughly enjoyed the gameplay, having never gotten very far in the original Hyrule Warriors. This one clicked and it clicked HARD and I enjoyed several playthroughs ! I LOVED playing as the Champions, Impa, King Rhoam ( SPOILERS ! ) and Sooga was a total badass !!! Terrako playing Zelda's Lullaby at various points during the game was very touching. I also do not believe in the whole timeline BS so I simply was able to enjoy the story from beginning to end. The game itself also came at a very difficult time in my life as my father passed away at the end of 2020 so it provided a wonderful outlet when I needed one the most. Admittedly, the game did not run very well on the original Switch. So any performance upgrade for the Switch 2 and I might dive right back in.

Very much looking forward to the Age of Imprisonment - although the ancient champions are not what I would consider to be ''other familiar characters'' as per Nintendo. So I'm sure Link, as well as Purah, will be playable at some point. I'm also looking forward to the new amiibo as I have been collecting all of the Zelda amiibo since their inception, even before BotW arrived on the scene. I'm just surprised it has taken Nintendo two years since TotK to release them. Maybe the sages will actually be useful in the new Hyrule Warriors game as they were not very useful in TotK.

Re: Anniversary: Nintendo Switch Launched On This Day Eight Years Ago

I was able to pre-order two Switch for day one release on GameStop website. I had to use a different credit card to get the second system as well as it was bundled with 1,2 Switch. I kept the gray joy-con one for myself and gave the blue-red joy-con Switch ( along with the 1,2 Switch game ) to a friend I had purchased the system for. I also purchased the BotW Master Edition which I still have unopened in-box. The Switch was the first Nintendo system I bought on day one - and I go all the way back to the NES. I will not likely get a Switch 2 on day - unless the Zelda games get a major upgrade for it. Happy Birthday, Switch !!!

Re: Review: LEGO The Legend Of Zelda - Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 - A Superb Debut With One Minor Irritation

Scarmucci

You must be a newbie to the world of LEGO. The cost of a LEGO set is usually 10 cents / piece. Throw in the branding of this set as well as the fact that it is a 2 in 1 set, is probably how they came up with the price. LEGO sets are also rarely full 360 builds. Nearly all sets are left open in the back. And as far as one Zelda ... OOT Zelda had nothing to do with the Deku Tree. BotW and TotK Zelda had cutscenes with it. So it makes sense that there is no OOT Zelda minifig.
