Yes, please. Although I am still annoyed that the guy who reviewed both BotW and TotK gave BotW a 10, but gave TotK a 9.75 !!! I mean, who does that ?!?!?!

The Switch released a mere 6 weeks after the January 2017 presentation, so a Switch 2 release in May would not be surprising with the April Nintendo Direct.

Now THIS is more like it !!! Althouugh LEGO would have really knocked it out of the park if they made this a 2 in 1 as the did with the Great Deku Tree by having an alternate Luigi build.

I was able to pre-order two Switch for day one release on GameStop website. I had to use a different credit card to get the second system as well as it was bundled with 1,2 Switch. I kept the gray joy-con one for myself and gave the blue-red joy-con Switch ( along with the 1,2 Switch game ) to a friend I had purchased the system for. I also purchased the BotW Master Edition which I still have unopened in-box. The Switch was the first Nintendo system I bought on day one - and I go all the way back to the NES. I will not likely get a Switch 2 on day - unless the Zelda games get a major upgrade for it. Happy Birthday, Switch !!!

LEGO typically charges about 10 cents per piece with their sets. So if this set is only 421 pieces, $ 59.99 is a definite mark-up.

Tarrey Town in BotW is obviously at the top of the list ... but Mattison's Independence in TotK is not far behind. Anyone who did not tear up simply does not have a heart.

I doubt this, buy maybe Nintendo will allow for options of how many players you can race against - both online and offline.

@BTB20 It is impossible to ignore when so-called Zelda fanboys try to shove a timeline down everyone else's throat. Especially on YouTube. And then they all go insane when a new game threatens to change or even upend their version of a timeline - even as TotK is a DIRECT sequel - they have collectively lost their mind with the TotK story.

Oh for cryinng out loud ... stop trying to retro-fit standalone games into a non-existent timeline. I love me some Legend of Zelda. But the whole ''timeline'' is complete and utter nonsense.

Hopefully it won't run at 10 fps. ... Meanwhile, this just leaves NintendoLand and a couple of - cough - Zelda HD ports - stuck on the Wii U.

You must be a newbie to the world of LEGO. The cost of a LEGO set is usually 10 cents / piece. Throw in the branding of this set as well as the fact that it is a 2 in 1 set, is probably how they came up with the price. LEGO sets are also rarely full 360 builds. Nearly all sets are left open in the back. And as far as one Zelda ... OOT Zelda had nothing to do with the Deku Tree. BotW and TotK Zelda had cutscenes with it. So it makes sense that there is no OOT Zelda minifig.

And the chorus of ''but it's not a Zelda game'' .. begins in 3 .. 2 ..

@Vriess The Amazon US page says its being sold and distributed, as an import, by Amazon.

TotK is the far superior game. But BotW is being sold at a greater discount and is cheaper than TotK, so this is not surprising.

It's also available on Amazon US for pre-order for US $ 193.99.

Unless the switch successor also has detachable controllers that are compatible with this - what's the point ?

The Zelda Switch Lite is up for pre-order in the US on BestBuy !!! ... but no where else as of yet for some reason

It will be difficult for the Switch successor to match the Switch's success ( say that 5 times fast LOL ) simply as the Switch has probably reached the saturation point and then some - especially when people are buying 2 or 3 devices.

Of course I am sure there are the usual suspects out there who will deem the Switch 2 a failure if it does not match the Switch's number in sales.

Hard pass. For this and for Luigi 2. I didn't mind the $70 for TotK and would have paid for any additional DLC. But hell to the no on these two games.

@Lofoten My point is that the Japanese website has the amiibo icon for the new Zelda game. Mario Wonder never had it - hence no Elephant Mario amiibo. I don't think Nintendo is in the habit of releasing amiibo for games that do not support amiibo. I have no idea what the ''discussion'' may have been - nor do I care. Wonder did not have amiibo support - so - no amiibo.

Do the UK retailers ship to the US ?

With the game coming out in September ... and with Nintendo usually having a Direct in September ... it would not surprise me that they would announce one then.

@Lofoten But Super Mario Bros Wonder never had amiibo support to begin with - which is probably why we never got a Mario Elephant amiibo.

@mikejs78 No. There isn't. The Zelda creators came up with the one for Hyrule Historia just to stop the speculation that was running rampant on the internet. Unfortunately it did not work and has only made timeline speculation even worse. The Zelda creators do not care about any supposed timeline - fan-created or otherwise.

@PinderSchloss If you want to play a ''classic Zelda'' then go play one. A Link to the Past is my favorite Zelda game going on 30 + years now and I still play A Link to the Past to this day ... I just choose not to live in the past.

The one drawback to officially announcing a June Nintendo Direct is the endless speculation YouTuber's and others will have until then.

VERY hard pass on this !!! ... It's bad enough I am still waiting on the Daruk statue that I pre-ordered one year ago ( March 1, 2023 ) to arrive. But ain't no way I would shell out for this. Fingers crossed that they make figures out of the TotK amiibo as they did with the BotW amiibo though. Just would be nice to get them this century if they do.

I preordered the Urbosa figure when it was first announced and it took 9 months to arrive. I also preordered the Daruk figure when it was announced shortly after ordering the Urbosa figure - and it has been nearly a year since that time. First 4 truly needs to get their youknowwhat together. Hard pass on the sheikah slate. Hopefully Ganondorf from TotK is on the drawing board and will come out some time this century.

Good luck trying to play Baldur's Gate 3 on ANY handheld device, let alone the Switch. The menus and text would be unreadable.

Player 5 is the GOAT !!! I've watched his Twitch stream for a couple of years now. Even though his focus during his streams is the speedrunning, he talks to chat members and is never condescending or obscene. He also posts his WR speedruns on his YouTube channel as his typical Twitch streams usually run 6 to 7 hours. He has also done a BotW/TotK back to back speedrun so you can instantly see the major changes that have occurred from then until now. There continue to be changes and new glitches to the TotK so it will be interesting to see where the speedrun goes in the future. Subscribe and support him if you can.
