@Everythingnotsaved TotK is a direct sequel, so of course it was going to use resources of the original. But if you cannot recognize how much has changed from the BotW, then your bias against the game is showing and I feel sorry for you if you cannot enjoy it as much as, and even moreso than, the original.
Unfortunately, it had to take a game nearly 10 times ( Baldur's Gate 150 GB ) the size of TotK ( 16 GB ) and on outdated hardware to beat it for GOTY.
BotW won GOTY in 2017. TotK improved on BotW in nearly every aspect of the game. It does not deserve the backlash and the hate that it gets simply for being a true masterpiece of a game.
As much as I love and adore Tears of the Kingdom. I am not fond of the Sage abilities and tend to turn them off as soon as I get them. They are rather useless as they just run around and are difficult to activate - unlike BotW simple button controls of the Champion abilities. Also the cut and paste job they did with the cutscenes with the ancient sages after you obtain each one is annoying as all get out - that thankfully they are skippable. Also disappointed in the lack of a Master Mode where I was hoping to fight gold level enemies again. Still my GOTY though.
TotK Ganondorf is clearly delegating responsibility to the countless Bokoblins, Moblins, etc. Why get his perfectly manicured hands and pedicured feet all dirty ? But I agree, if he wants to rule Hyrule, I would think he would want to do so from the Surface, not the Depths.
I also don't quite understand why Flux Constructs are in The Depths since they are Zonai devices, not Ganon minions.
Still the boss fights against TotK Ganondorf and Demon Dragon Ganon are far superior to BotW Calamity Ganon and Dark Beast Ganon.
It would be odd not to have DLC when there are plans to release two new amiibo later this year. Not to mention the underpowered, non-fused Master Sword, no gold enemies and no chance to max out both hearts AND stamina with a few more shrines.
Then again for those who have not updated the game to preserve the item duplication glitch, there will be no need to update at all.

@Reztobi You're reply was very patronizing, to say the least.

All of the hate that TotK gets in comments sections like these simply proves how truly great the game is.

Eurogamer gives Pikmin 4 a 10/10 ... gives TotK an 8/10 ... ... ... Words fail.
