The Switch version getting a 5 makes sense. Handheld frame-rate is really bad even when not much is happening in screen. It’s absolutely better played elsewhere.
Been playing a whole lot of Persona 5 Royal on the Switch. I’ve also managed to snag The Orange Box so I can finally play Half Life 2 for the first time.
They got too ballsy capitalizing on the leaks which made Nintendo pull the trigger. This certainly isn’t the death of emulation (Yuzu and Citra are open-sourced, they’ll survive), but folks are definitely going to have to be more mindful about monetization, especially around leaks.
Getting back into Kirby’s Return to Dreamland Deluxe. Just got done with the all of the mini game missions (thank god) and onto the main game. I might aim for 100%, but we shall see.
Bits and pieces here and there. I try to fill out as much of the Pokédex as possible before progressing the main story. Might be a bit before hitting the credits
It’s not a total trash fire some folks are making it out to be. There’s a good bundle of release dates and I am curious about the Kingdom Come’s Switch version (I’m a sucker for ambitious Switch ports). But we are certainly within the Switch’s final years if this is what they opened the year with.
I was gonna do some Palworld on the Series X, but to my surprise the sound quality is shockingly muffled. So until that gets patched up I’m playing Yakuza: Like a Dragon, which has been a delight thus far! Little over five hours in and Ichiban is already my favorite Yakuza protagonist.

Re: Capcom Confirms The Next Resident Evil Game Is Now In Development
It’d be more shocking if they weren’t working on a Resident Evil game.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (29th June)
Messing around in Shadow of the Erdtree and the Beyond Good and Evil remaster.
Re: Nintendo Live Suspect Admits To Threats, Blames Being A Sore Loser
Dude if I get mad I just put on funny cat videos. Threatening violence over a video game (or anything really) is unhinged.

Back when Ubisoft made cool stuff.

Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie.
Re: Palworld Boss Says A Switch Release Could Be "Hard" Due To Technical Reasons
Played it on the Series X and wasn’t too impressed with it. Doesn’t really have the charm like most other monster collectors.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (22nd June)
Shadow of the god dang Erdtree.
Re: Soapbox: Marvel Vs. Capcom Was The Unsung Hero Of The June Nintendo Direct
The true unsung hero are the people behind the scenes who managed to negotiate this into existence. Definitely gonna snag me a physical.
Re: Silksong Is "Not In Dev Hell" According To Playtester
The wait for Silksong wouldn’t be nearly as bad if they communicated a little bit.
Re: Feature: 9 'Mature' Games We'd Love To See On Nintendo Switch Online's New N64 App
Daikatana would be pretty dope.
Re: We're Finally Getting 'Beyond Good & Evil: 20th Anniversary Edition' News This Week
Third Parties like Ubisoft really need to stop relying on Limited Run for their physical prints. Like dude are you so cheap you can’t do it yourself?
Re: Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics Will Get Super On Switch This Year
This is a BIG deal. Folks were campaigning for MvC2’s return and we got that and more!
Re: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Confirmed For Switch, Launching 2025
The Prime Remaster was definitely the preview of what they’re gonna do with Beyond. There’s no doubt it’s hitting the Switch 2.
Re: Final Fantasy XIV Online Director Would Love To See Square Enix's MMO On A "Nintendo Platform"

More Grasshopper games are always appreciated.
Re: Hands On: 'LEGO Horizon' Builds A Welcome Entry Point To Sony's Series
Might get it for Switch just for the sheer novelty of a Sony franchise on a Nintendo console.
Re: LEGO Horizon Adventures Is Coming To Switch, Confirmed For Holiday 2024
Releasing it on everything but Xbox is so freaking funny. Unfortunately this is the highlight of the show.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (25th May)
Paper Mario with maybe a sprinkle of the System Shock remake.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (11th May)
Just wrapped up Persona 5 Royal and what a good RPG that was. I’m moving onto NEO: The World Ends With You next.
Re: Nintendo Discontinuing 'X' Integration On Switch Next Month
Time for Miiverse to make its grand reentrance.
Re: Review: Another Crab's Treasure (Switch) - Great Ideas, Crabby Performance
The Switch version getting a 5 makes sense. Handheld frame-rate is really bad even when not much is happening in screen. It’s absolutely better played elsewhere.

“Oh by the way the successor is coming sometime soon okay bye.”
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (4th May)
Stellar Blade. I’m also on the very last palace on Persona 5 Royal.
Re: UK Charts: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Hits The Brakes As Stellar Blade Speeds Into View
Pretty cool seeing Stellar Blade making an impact. A bit into it and it’s pretty good thus far, especially after they fixed the input delay.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (27th April)

Re: Review: El Shaddai: Ascension Of The Metatron HD Remaster (Switch) - A Second Coming For An Overlooked Action Gem
Had this sucker preloaded for some time. I never had the chance to play this back in the PS360 days so I’m pretty pumped to give it a whirl!
Re: Garry's Mod Is Removing "All Nintendo Related Stuff From Steam Workshop"
There’s no way the old farts at Nintendo are suddenly aware of GM’s existence.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (23rd March)
Probably mainly be Rainbow Moon on the Switch. I’m also chipping away at FF7 Remake in preparation for eventually tackling Rebirth.
Re: Review: Princess Peach: Showtime! (Switch) - Peach Breaks A Leg In A High-Class Production
So this is Balan Wonderworld but good.
Re: Shadows Of The Damned: Hella Remastered Confirmed For Switch
I kinda hope this leads to SUDA doing more with Shadows of the Damned down the line. And this time without EA’s grubby hands over it.
Re: My Little Pony Returns In A New Open-World Adventure On Switch
The Zelda team are quaking in their boots. How are they gonna compete against this masterpiece?
Re: Talking Point: What Do You Want To See From The Next Super Mario Bros. Movie?
Let your characters breathe a little and not have the pacing be a million hours per hour. Also cool it with the references.
Re: Creators Of New Switch Emulator 'Suyu' Hope To Avoid Nintendo's Wrath
I’m sure when the next big Nintendo game inevitably gets leaked they’ll resist the temptation to capitalize on it. Maybe.
Re: Reaction: Nintendo's Switch Emulator Fallout Is Shocking Only Because It Took This Long
They got too ballsy capitalizing on the leaks which made Nintendo pull the trigger. This certainly isn’t the death of emulation (Yuzu and Citra are open-sourced, they’ll survive), but folks are definitely going to have to be more mindful about monetization, especially around leaks.
Re: Switch Emulator Yuzu To Pay $2.4 Million To Nintendo & Cease Development

Re: Review: Penny's Big Breakaway (Switch) - A Furiously Fast & Fun Platformer With Sega Spirit
It’s real charming but it could’ve used a bit more time in the oven. Something about the controls feels kinda, I don’t know, sticky?

At this rate why would anyone want to work for these companies?

Re: Rumour: New Report From Nikkei Corroborates 'Switch 2' Delay Into 2025
I’m getting the impression they REALLY don’t want another Wii U situation.
Re: Talking Point: Which Xbox Games Would You Like To See Come To Switch?
The Halo series on a Nintendo console would be a sight that’s for sure.
Re: Poll: So, How Would You Rate The Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase?
@Fizza Yeah so many people love them because of their track record but at the end of the day they’re still a leaker.
Re: Poll: So, How Would You Rate The Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase?
It’s not a total trash fire some folks are making it out to be. There’s a good bundle of release dates and I am curious about the Kingdom Come’s Switch version (I’m a sucker for ambitious Switch ports). But we are certainly within the Switch’s final years if this is what they opened the year with.
Re: Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase February 2024 - Time, Where To Watch, What To Expect
Partner Showcases get a bad rep but I’m looking forward to it.

Re: Hi-Fi Rush Datamine Lends Weight To Switch Port Rumours
Hi Fi Rush on a Nintendo console just feels right. If they manage to get it up to snuff I really do recommend it. So good.
Re: Japanese Charts: PS5 Newbies Dampen Apollo Justice's Opening Statement
Pretty cool seeing Shiren land number 2 in a very PlayStation dominated week. Also shoutout to the 15 people who bought a 2DS.
