@Runex2121 I still have my Sega CD versions, and i do like playing them along with the PS1 versions. The differences alone in Lunar 1 make me wish that it were also getting a port. I kinda want to go through the Mine again.
Something seems odd with the coloring of the na version. The Japan benefits from the wider area. I like the European one too but I'll pick the Japan one.
As much as I like MvC2, the original MvC still has a special place for me. Perhaps its nostalgia, but the first time i saw that game and that you could play as Strider (who looked so much cooler than his original sprite) along with the likes of Morrigan and Ryu, i lost my mind. I even remember going on a field trip with a summer day camp to an arcade/entertainment center, and when all the other kids were playing the ticket redemption games, I saw they had Marvel vs. Capcom and went to play that against some of the bigger kids. I can't remember if I won or lost though...
If Crazy Taxi ends up being just an online only game, I have a feeling it isn't going to fare well (no pun intended). I like the game, but there really isn't much more to it than just a few quick games online. I personally would love to see some sort of game where you make a driver and have to go through a story of rising up as a Taxi driver. I feel like it would be silly, but I think it would make thigns fresh.
As for Shinobi, it shows great promise. Im surprised that its focusing more on sword combat rather than shurikens like in the original games. The art looks gorgeous. I'll definitely be looking at this one closely.
I know these are early development builds, but im curious to see where everything goes.
You know...I was just thinking how I wish this collection had Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold. I know it was a very small update, but considering it added Cammy, I will take it.
I hate the censoring, but im still excited to get this collection.
I still think about the fact that when I was in middle school, I was playing this game last at night with the lights out...and it actually ended up traumatizing me. Like, all of the stuff weird music and effects were what stuck with me (music has a pretty big effect on me). For the next few years, I had to listen to music to go to sleep because I would always hear the third phase music play in my head. It was like that for some time. Nowadays it doesn't bug me but....
This is a tough one for me. NA looks really cool with the action pose, but the Japanese art style is relaly nice too. Truth be told, when I think about the 16-bit games, it never really felt anime style to me, so because of that, I went with the NA art.
The American to me looks cool, but I feel like it's a bit too large and not symmetrical in my eyes. Europe I don't think looks bad but just a but...lazy without details.
When I think of a remaster, its basically a game that polishes the graphics, fixes bugs, makes some QOL fixes, and maybe adds in some new content or two. Examples of this would be the recent Tomb Raider 1-3 collection. Basically the same game with cleaner graphics, all the content, and some extras like updated graphics and controls (switchable of course).
Remake is the game that has been redone from the ground up. It has practically the same story, but with lots of new content, gameplay elements, etc. To me this would be something like Persona 3 Reload, Metroid 2 Samus Returns, etc.
ANd then I think of a Port, which is basically, the same game, but running on the intended system's hardware. Sometimes it'll get lucky with better graphics, but thats about it. Basically Super Mario 3D All Stars (though that at least had a music player).
I actually prefer the Japanese version because it shows all of the enemies in the cover. I know no one really plays Bomberman for the story but...this sits well with me because of the memories i have with the original. The american is kinda funny and i kinda dig it...especially how Black Bomberman tosses the bomb over his head.
The clown on the JP art reminds me how that boss scared the crap out of me when i first played the game. To see the screen go dark (except for the characters) and then the clown face just appearing making faces was scary. And him making that face each time you hurt him was very memorable.
ill probably wish list it...like its just weird knowing that this is an homage to those CD-i games. Like the cutscenes are the same cheesy as before. It'll be a weird buy for me.
I do have to say I love how the developer is Seedy Eye Software. That gave me a laugh after i realized that it was just another way of saying CD-i.
@SuntannedDuck2 Its nice to kno im not the only one who played Shinobi 3DS. I enjoyed the game...but i have to say...the end of it got...weird. That being said, its the one im looking the most forward to.
@Windy Man, PSZ is a throwback. I remember getting that instead of PSP2 because it was more convenient for me...I didn't think it was a bad game per say...but idk, just felt very PSO light.
I should probably jump back onto one of the unofficial servers for PSO for old time sake. I had a friend whom i was close with that I would always go on around this time and play with her. We would always try to get the holiday Rappies.
@Windy As nice as an HD PSOBB would be, it would be highly unlikely cause it would mean they would have to set up new servers and things. THough, I think that PSO2 would be able to run on Switch. That is a game that I definitely need to sink more time into.
@roy130390 Ironically I literally just finished Trials of Mana remake before the announced this. The more i look into this game, the more im excited about it.
NGL, I am iffy about the look of SoR and Golden Axe. Crazy Taxi looked amazing, but im wondering whats going on with the cops. do you have to taxi people while avoiding the law?
Jet Set Radio looked really good...but I have to say the one I was the most excite dfor was Shinobi. That art style looked great.
Im really hoping that 'and more' could have possibly meant that we get a new classic style Phantasy Star. Wishful thinking of course.
@Lady_Galadhiel You know, I never thought of it like that...but i definitely see it. I love the clock in the center, and thats what got the vote for me.

Re: Lunar Remastered Collection Revives Beloved '90s JRPG Series On Switch In Spring 2025
I was screaming when I heard this announcement.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Donkey Kong Country (GBA)
@Daniel36 gotcha.
That being said, I still think the Japanese version works better for me because of thr larger area for the picture.
Also, I keep forgetting that the Japanese version is Super Donkey Kong.

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: Contra 4
@TotalHenshin Maybe Triple H and Shawn Michaels really like this game and wanted to give it their Degeneration-X seal of approval?
In all seriousness, i just noticed that myself. Now i can't unsee it.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: Contra 4
NOrth America for me.
The Japanese one looks cool, but the expresionless faces kinda bug me.
Re: The Last Ninja Collection Brings Seven Retro Games To Switch In 2025
Ive heard about these games...but idk, I think i'll pass.

Re: Capcom Outlines Changes To Each Game In 'Fighting Collection 2'
@Zeebor15 Is it sad that i misread that as Rogue and not Rouge?

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Zelda: A Link To The Past And Four Swords (GBA)
I get the appeal of using the classic box art for the NA one to appeal to nostalgia...but that Japan art is so good.
Re: DOOM Is Getting A New And Improved Definitive Release On Super Nintendo
@GammaPhonic Next thing you know, they'll be making a definitive version of the 3D0 version.
Re: Surprise! DOOM + DOOM II Get Newly Enhanced Release On Switch eShop
So....I hope that we can put in more mods. I kinda want to have the old Dwango mods to play on deathmatch. though...idk if anyone remembers those.
Re: Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Physical Edition Getting Wide Retail Release
I already got mine from Play Asia. But im glad its getting a wider release.

Re: Reminder: SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos Is Now Available For Switch
I have heard alot about this game...mainly that it wasn't too good, but I'm curious about giving it a second look.
Re: 'The Karate Kid: Street Rumble' Chops Its Way Onto Switch In September
Looks fun, but reputation of the producer makes me iffy about it. So...will reserve judgement until the reviews come out.
Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Beyond Good & Evil: 20th Anniversary Edition
i might need to pick this up as alot of my older consoles are becoming more obsolete.

Day 1 physical purchase for me.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: Bravely Default
@Lizuka I agree with the subtitle.

Re: Limited Run Games Announces Retro SHMUP Combo Pack For Switch
Love both of these games and I already own them digitally. Id like a physical copy but...idk dont feel like double dipping.
Makes me wonder if they'll fix the wrong music in the second half of Level 3 in Gynoug.
Re: Random: Ash Ketchum's OG Voice Actor Reflects On "Devastating" Moment She Was Fired
@Handy_Man Veronica is super kind. Ive had the same experience when I met her. She remembered me when i saw her a few years later.
Its heartbreaking to hear that she dealt with some PTSD after she was recast. Nothing against Sarah of course.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Metroid
NGL, i really like the European version. Like the NES original is kinda cool with their old box style, but the European one I dig.
The Japanese one looks kinda cool, but the bright shot is kind of blinding surprisingly.
Re: Three More Sega Classics Are Being Revived, It's Claimed

Re: Nintendo Expands Its Switch Online N64 Library With Three More Titles
@dustinprewitt Id like to see Mischief Makers get a re-release too.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: Contact
I just ended up starting this game...its so bizarre, but I got stuck.
The NA box art reminds me of an album for Gorillaz. But I kinda feel like the other box art is kinda boring...so i with with the NA one.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: Hey! Pikmin
My eyes dont know where to look in the NA one, so I chose the European variant.
Re: Talking Point: "This Is Only The Beginning" - What Should Konami Do With Metal Gear Next?
So,
Id love to see Konami fix the current issues with Vol 1. I know some of the stuff can't be fixed, but some of the issues are just not called for.
As far as Vol 2 goes, yes, give us MGS4, PW, Ground Zeroes and the Phantom Pain. Maybe as a bonus MG: Ghost Babel (MGS GBC).
Lets see what happens.

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: Yoshi's Cookie
Japan for me. The US background always just looked so...basic and dull. The Japan one looks fun.
Re: Jurassic Park: Classic Games Collection Adds Two Sega Genesis Titles
I have but one question for this collection in regard to the new games.
Did they keep in the dinosaur saying "Sega!" at the beginning?
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: Mario Vs. Donkey Kong
NGL, the japanese art is a very cool concept with the faux-ad, but i prefer the US art.
Re: The Original Tomb Raider Trilogy Is Getting Remastered For Switch
@Zeldork I'm also wondering if they'll do anything with the controls or just leave them as is
Re: GameCube Classic Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Is Heading To Switch

Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's Game Boy Color, SNES & NES Library With Four More Games
@xDeckardx Definitely was not on my radar at all...it is such an odd title. I wonder if its any good.
Also, i love the Moss icon.
