Just a heads up folks, it seems PQube put the trailer live much sooner than intended and has now made it private. Hopefully it'll be back up and running soon.
@kmtrain83 GOTY Edition is available on Switch, it just didn't sell any copies last week. Complete Edition is the current-gen version, so it's on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
It's a bit daft, because the Switch version is called the 'Complete Edition', but GfK list it as the GOTY Edition. I think it's just to differentiate it from the PS5/Series versions.
The Famicom version of Castlevania 3 sounds incredible. I'm so grateful to Konami for including it in the Anniversary Collection. There's no going back.
I don't know the full details, but it seems customers are getting emails regarding their subscriptions. They won't be applied automatically, but will need to be requested.
I can't see Nintendo dropping the price of the Switch until at least the successor launches. Keep in mind that Nintendo probably doesn't care whether the Switch beats the DS/PS2 or not.
@Macnemo79 I totally get that, but I think Baldur's Gate III was a lot more universally acclaimed than TOTK. It's no secret around these parts that I'm not particularly fond of the latter and I think there are a few folks out there who share the same views.
Ask anyone who's played Baldur's Gate III, however, and you'd be hard pressed to find someone who didn't love it.
Something I mentioned to Alex earlier was that Samus actually sends her Gunship away after landing. This could mean two things: there may be multiple landing zones in which you can summon your ship, and it also effectively removes the ability to save and recharge while your ship is docked.
Or the footage shown in the trailer could be a more scripted event. In which case, ignore everything I said.
@SuperShaun The titles in red link out to the game pages. Since the first four entries are mentioned (and linked) in the text prior, there's no need to do it again.
@Anti-Matter I know you love PS5 and that's great, I do too, but these sales numbers aren't particularly good. When Switch is outselling the PS5 so significantly at this stage in its lifespan, it's clear that the Japanese market simply isn't as interested in home console gaming as it once was. It's a large part of why there are rumours surrounding a potential new PlayStation handheld.
I should clarify that PS5 is doing much better globally; this is really only limited to Japan for the time being.
The difference in opinion between Alex and PJ is fascinating. I probably won't pick this up since I still have the 3DS version. It's good, but I do prefer the GameCube original and Luigi's Mansion 3.
It's hard to see how GAME can possibly continue for much longer. It's been a while since I've worked there, but as far as I can tell, it no longer offers anything that I would deem beneficial. If folks aren't already opting for cheaper options elsewhere, then perhaps now is the time.
@Kaiffe123 I would imagine Nintendo was probably prototyping this stuff like, what, a decade ago now? A lot can change in that time. The new console could be lighter, the magnets more powerful, etc... I'm not saying this is definitely true, mind, but I think it would be more feasible now than it was for the OG Switch.
@sixrings Wholesome, harmless content coupled with the Nintendo backstories made it worth highlighting. It's safe to say you probably won't see anything featuring Scott the Woz or RGT85 on the site anytime soon.
@Coversnail Embracer owns Middle-earth Enterprises, which in turn owns the LotR IP. So right now there's no reason to believe Embracer would ever lose the rights unless they absolutely had to sell it off. They don't own absolutely everything to do with Tolkien's world, but movies, stage, merchandising, etc all falls under Embracer.

@Pillowpants He's largely retired, but he seems particularly enamoured with the character of Eggman, and so decided to play him once again.

@Type_Trubbish I think the rights to The Evil Within remain with Xbox and ZeniMax, so it's in their hands entirely. It could happen, but I doubt it.

@johnedwin Sure, from a "wouldn't that be nice" perspective, but I guarantee it's not focusing on it as much as the fans.
