@larryisaman Of course, but locating a new team would likely take a significant amount of time, and depending on how well Brothership has performed, Nintendo might not see it as a worthwhile endeavour. Hence the doubt. We'll see.
@Kienda Thanks for the comment! We hit an unfortunate 'perfect storm' with this particular article. We're having trouble with embeds from 'X' at the moment, so as a temporary measure, we're screengrabbing the post and, where necessary, translating the text below.
With stories that don't contain any media, this would be fine, but as you've pointed out, the accompanying video for this one is a rather important element. We did have a YouTube video embedded at the top from the cosplayer in question, but unfortunately it's since been made private.
Hopefully we'll iron out the issues with X embeds soon.
I didn't mention this in the review, but it's worth noting that I spoke directly with Jason Cirillo at DE, and he said that additional Tetris games via DLC may be possible in the future.
This wasn't a tease, but merely an acknowledgement of the possibility.
I should point out that not all games are created equal. Other games from 1995 still look stunning to this very day, like Chrono Trigger and DKC2. Clock Tower, by comparison, hasn't aged quite so gracefully and has therefore earned its con.
The beginning of Reggie's 'Disrupting the Game' book discusses something similar. He and Iwata went back-and-forth on how to promote the Wii in America, with the latter expressing deep concern over Reggie's 'Wii Would Like to Play' campaign.
Ultimately, Reggie requested that Iwata trust his vision, and the campaign was a huge success. There are definitely some parallels between this and the eventual Switch trailer. Showing the console being played in various scenarios without boring the viewer with tech specs is clearly a strong approach.
Hey folks, quick update. You've no doubt noticed that the full track list is gone. We've taken it all out and stored it away safely, as including every track has caused us to hit our character limit on the article, and that's without Scarlet and Violet included.
We're going to assess how best to proceed going forward, so we'll keep you posted.
@JohnnyMind You might enjoy the more action-focused gameplay from 4, 5, and 6 then. They certainly have elements of horror, but it takes a bit of a backseat compared to the original trilogy. 5 and 6 are better if you have someone with which to play co-op.
@NielsNL Our sister site Time Extension has that one covered already, and we featured a link to their article on our home page. FPGA systems are more up their street, but if something crops up that we feel we should cover, then we'll do so.
@Elbow Really? You're blaming us? This wasn't sent to me in confidence, I found it, it's out there for the world to see. It already had tens of thousands of views before I reported on it.
First, I think a few folks need to brush up on the definition of 'clickbait'.
Second, not every article on Switch 2 is written with the intention of lending credibility to rumours. The article is clearly filled to the brim with scepticism and is very tongue-in-cheek. We're not for one moment suggestion that you should believe it. It's just a bit of fun on a Monday morning.
@Lofoten Our goal with review round ups is to grab a handful of articles that represent the full spectrum of opinions (or at least as close as possible).
We trust that our audience is smart enough to know that there are other reviews out there. However, it's important that we highlight dissenting opinions so that folks are able to make informed decisions.
@Warioware The Gold Master entries appears to be largely avoiding Atari IP specifically - Karateka, Llamasoft, and now Tetris Forever. I imagine they don't want any crossover with what they're building with Atari 50.

Re: Nintendo Considered Giving Up On 'Mario & Luigi' Before Approaching Acquire
@Markiemania95 Ha, I'd just come off a pretty sizeable feature piece, so perhaps my head wasn't quite in the game. Thanks for the heads up.

@Edd-O Proper Crimbo, innit.
Re: Random: Now Pokémon Is Getting Its Own 'TCG' Rip-Off On The Switch eShop

@Anti-Matter Read the article, mate.
Re: The Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom Has Been Added To The Official Timeline
Definitely a well thought out and sensible timeline. Not at all haphazardly put together.
Re: N64 Controller For Switch Receives A Tasty Black Friday Discount (Europe)
@Solomon_Rambling It does sound a bit better than 'Gustatorily Stimulating', to be fair.

Re: The Game Awards 2024: Date, Time - How And When To Watch

At the very least, we've got a little feature piece going live later to mark the occasion.

Re: Review: Tetris Forever (Switch) - The Best Breakdown Of A Legendary Franchise
@LinktotheFuture Yep, instructions are included with every title.
Re: Review: Tetris Forever (Switch) - The Best Breakdown Of A Legendary Franchise
@Thomystic It doesn't, no. I think that would be a bit overkill - thankfully, it's consistent regardless of which era you warp to.
Re: Review: Tetris Forever (Switch) - The Best Breakdown Of A Legendary Franchise
@XiaoShao I didn't sadly, though I don't think he'd be close to those kind of decisions at DE.

Re: Random: "I'm A Pretty Normal Person" - Miyamoto Disputes 'Genius' Label
@Rozetta We do commission translations from time to time if we feel it's required.
But for an official Nintendo document that will receive its own translation in just a few days..? What's the point? We pick and choose our battles.
Re: It's Official, 'Switch 2' Will Be Backwards Compatible

@kevinm360 That's not all of the above then, is it
The poll is for which one you're most excited for, anyway.
Re: Review: Clock Tower: Rewind (Switch) - Pre-RE Survival Horror That's Elevated By Extras
@OldManHermit Not a coincidence - the character was based on Jennifer Connelly's appearance in Phenomena.

Re: Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown Dev Team Reportedly Disbanded By Ubisoft
Sadly, given Ubisoft's situation right now, I can't foresee the company taking chances on these kind of projects at all going forward.
Games will need to be multi-million unit sellers within weeks of launch, or it just ain't worth bothering. Very sad.
