Re: Japanese Charts: Switch Dominates As PS5 Price Hike Kills Momentum

@Axecon That will be tricky, if not impossible. Digital figures aren't released at the same time as physical, so aligning the sales and working out the ratio will be tough at the best of times. And yes, as you say, Nintendo doesn't release digital figures. We only get a decent view of Nintendo's total sales during its financial updates.

Still, we'll keeping looking into it!

Re: Review: Emio - The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club (Switch) - A Stylish Mystery With One Foot In The Past

I've only spent a bit of time with the demo, but the game almost gives you too much autonomy for a visual novel. Sometimes I just want to chill and read a bit of back-and-forth between characters - Danganronpa does this really well, but Emio is constantly prompting you with options to 'Call/Engage', 'Ask/Listen', or 'Look/Examine'. There's almost an element of trial and error as to which option will actually move the story forward.

Re: UK Charts: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Retains Its Crown As We Await New Releases

@kmtrain83 GOTY Edition is available on Switch, it just didn't sell any copies last week.
Complete Edition is the current-gen version, so it's on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

It's a bit daft, because the Switch version is called the 'Complete Edition', but GfK list it as the GOTY Edition. I think it's just to differentiate it from the PS5/Series versions.

Re: Random: Zelda: TOTK Meets Super Mario 64 In Latest Ridiculous Ultrahand Creation

@Macnemo79 I totally get that, but I think Baldur's Gate III was a lot more universally acclaimed than TOTK. It's no secret around these parts that I'm not particularly fond of the latter and I think there are a few folks out there who share the same views.

Ask anyone who's played Baldur's Gate III, however, and you'd be hard pressed to find someone who didn't love it.

Re: Video: Here's Everything You Missed In The Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Trailer

Something I mentioned to Alex earlier was that Samus actually sends her Gunship away after landing. This could mean two things: there may be multiple landing zones in which you can summon your ship, and it also effectively removes the ability to save and recharge while your ship is docked.

Or the footage shown in the trailer could be a more scripted event. In which case, ignore everything I said.

Re: Japanese Charts: Paper Mario Dominates As The Switch Scores A Full House

@Anti-Matter I know you love PS5 and that's great, I do too, but these sales numbers aren't particularly good. When Switch is outselling the PS5 so significantly at this stage in its lifespan, it's clear that the Japanese market simply isn't as interested in home console gaming as it once was. It's a large part of why there are rumours surrounding a potential new PlayStation handheld.

I should clarify that PS5 is doing much better globally; this is really only limited to Japan for the time being.
