This is the main reason I haven’t bitten on the game yet. Everything about it looks fun, but I just don’t see the gameplay having enough longevity for a £60 price tag.

I could share my favourite Nintendo franchises and obscure picks for hours, but unfortunately, I have no idea how to edit a video. Is Brad offering any courses to edit like him?

@ShadLink There are plenty of competitive games with tons of depth that still design and tutorialsise their mechanics in a way that makes the game instantly accessible and enjoyable. If being good at a game is a prerequisite for having fun, that seems like a failure in design to me.

Nominees actually surprised me, I though that Split Fiction and Ghost of Yotei would for sure be nominated, and that Hades, Death Stranding and Kingdom Come were more long shots.

@RareFan It's not that it's deliberate representation per se, more that certain queer communities have adopted it as a symbol after finding it unintentionally relatable.

This list can’t seem to make up its mind on whether it’s ranking on quality or impact.
I can understand Galaxy 2 over 1, but given they are two sides of the same coin, why are they e 9 spaces apart?
The only 2 Fire Emblem titles being almost 80 spaces apart seems bizarre as well (especially since 3H is probably better…).

Engage doesn’t make the best first impressions with its poor writing and over the top anime-ness, but if you persevere it has some of the best gameplay in the whole genre.
Three Houses has fantastic characters and an interesting story.
People act like games are just anime dating sims now, but in actuality in each game any “dating” takes up maybe 10 minutes of the total runtime and is entirely optional. And the series has actually had catgirls since Path of Radiance in 2005!

This one though… yeah, it’s not great.

For better or worse, Pokémon has already been a yearly franchise for over a decade.

The leaks are absolutely insane, they not only tell us about Gen 10 (including region and legend summaries) next year, but also that there are plans for Legends 3 in 2027 (along with region and plot details), a new subseries in 2028 that they are considering cancelling, and Gen 11 in 2030!

SMG1's original version has a "load bearing mushroom". There is an unused mushroom sprite in the code, that, if deleted, prevents the entire game from running.

It’s far from the greatest game I’ve played, but I also don’t think it’s as outright terrible as some have made it out to be.

I think that the first person pov is a big part of what made 7 the tensest entry in the series.

I can see why some may dislike it, but for me personally, Dragon Quest, Danganronpa and Fire Emblem in one direct is insane.

I was a little confused by the “full price games” question. Was that referring to “games with an RRP of £60” or “games that aren’t on sale”?

There are leaks online of all the mega evolutions that have proved 100% accurate so far.
Only one of these two is getting one, but it won’t spoil which.

Mario Odyssey did this as well. I don’t know why people above are saying it doesn’t, you’ll find a ring of coins at the site of your last death.

The sickness I felt after Zelda VR was worse than most actual illnesses I’ve had.

I’ve had a lot of fun so far, but I’m still worried about the game prices- I think I’m just going to end up buying fewer first party titles from now on.

GAME’s main UK competition are Smyths, Argos, Curry’s etc.- None of them are specialist game stores, but they don’t seem to be having this problem. GAME has lost the one advantage they are supposed to have.
