Also, now Nintendo has a competitor in the handheld space, the might step up their game to match. Then again, this thing probably has less of an appeal to the mass market, so they might not be too worried.
Playing Twilight Princess for the first time and loving it. Also continuing my Alpha Sapphire Nuzlocke. I’m currently at Sootopolis and have only had 2 deaths.
Remember how last time Cyberpunk won best at E3? Don’t just judge games by their trailers and demos, and wait until they’re out before making these judgements.
The ORAS problem has also been reported with Persona Q, which launched the same month. That seems to confirm that it’s not software specific, and was due to a bad batch of components.
@Grim Whilst I feel that the colour scheme is the only thing similar in your example, this does happen in development sometimes. Try swapping Butterfree and Venomoth.
I always I found it amusing that both FE Echoes and 3H have the “bad language” rating when Echoes cusses ever other sentence, and 3H censors the word “hell”.
@UltimateOtaku91 I think it was more the N64 that flopped after the successful SNES, and the GC following on from that trend. The GC fixed many of the N64 problems, but still flopped largely because of how Nintendo let its competitors take over in the previous gen.
@MS7000 @redpanda0310 Ganondorf mentions that there are no fish in the ocean, and the Zelda encyclopedia states that since the Great Sea is actually magical water from the heavens, only monsters and magical beings can live in it (this is also why the Zora evolved in Rito). Fishing is mentioned in the game, but I believe only in past tense.
Unpopular opinion, but this is my least favourite of the Zeldas I’ve played. I guess my main problem with it is the dungeons- none really stand out for me, and the grid makes combat feel stiff. The overworld is fantastic though, and playing ALBW made me appreciate it more than ever.
If not for Mario 35, I wouldn’t have expected them to. 35th is a weird anniversary to celebrate. Also, all this fuss over no PR tweet? “Advertise to us please!”
For me the most exciting things were coming next year. Mario golf and Skyward Sword are decent summer titles though. I think a lot of people are acting like that’s all we’ll get this year, when there has been no reveal of anything sept-dec. I highly doubt this is the only direct we’ll get now that they’re back.
Please take your time and don’t rush it. I would insert that Miyamoto quote about delays, but it seems kinda hypocritical coming from the guy behind Mario Sunshine.
@Kalmaro I’ve seen this sentiment a lot, but I don’t think that it’s the 3D that’s a problem. It’s not the decision to go 3D that’s made the newer art direction feel a bit soulless, just the lack of animation (compare the static GBA sprites to the animated gen 5 sprites to see how much more expressive the animations make them). The 3D models don’t have to be this way, and if animated in a way GameFreak/Creatures are more than capable of doing, they could potentially look better than the 2D sprites. It’s just that for 3 gens in a row, they’ve intentionally chosen not to.
I’ve been playing Outer Worlds on Switch recently, and didn’t notice until a couple of days ago that I hadn’t installed the 5gb patch. I am blessed with the complete inability to distinguish frame rates.
@electrolite77 And I respect that, and it’s good to get a second opinion, but in the case of a rerelease, it makes it harder to gauge the changes that have been made- improvements have been made, but I don’t know how much they impact the experience, because this review is lower, and this author hasn’t score a review for the original game for comparison.
Overall, I think having sites give multiple, reviewers opinions on one game is the way to go (ala Famitsu), except I feel rereleases act as an exception to this rule- they should have the same reviwer(s) as the original, so it is easier for the reader to tell what has changed. Or the changed reviewer should also include a score for what they would have given the original, for comparison.
@hadrian I was only pointing out that the sites two reviews are inconsistent with each other, andwanted to know why (which you have now told me, so thank you), as having such different reviews of the two versions makes it harder to understand the impact of the new changes.
I’m not “taking a ******” or saying that they can’t have that opinion, it’s not the score I object to, just the inconsistency between two reviews on the same site making it harder to gauge certain elements.
It’s in London because of Galar, to promote SWSH, except Summer 2022 will likely be when the Gen 9 prerelease hype is in full swing, so I’m honestly surprised (but pleasantly) that they didn’t just cancel it because of this.
@TheFrenciestFry But then why have Persona spinoffs on Switch? If Persona is a PlayStation and PC series, why not have P5 on PC, and no P4 on current gen PS hardware? Their splitting the series between platforms way more than needed, and honestly, SMT and Persona don’t need to be exclusives at all.
I’m definitely more on the beta version size. Also, neither costume is new, they’re their unique class outfits, but in the current version of the game 1) They don’t have access to those classes at that point in the story 2) All prerendered cutscenes use the outfits from their official art.
I just don’t get Atlas’ approach to Which platform gets which Megaten/Persona. SMT on Switch, P5 on PS4, P4 on PC, PQ on 3DS- surely they should just choose 1 ecosystem to focus on, or better yet, make everything multi platform!
@GrailUK Yes, the FEH playerbase is filled with whales, to the point where they are basically the only players who still play it. This probably means that the devs are powercreeping the game deliberately, knowing that their remaining audience will just keep sinking costs to stay up to date, so the game continually makes money even 4 years on with a fraction of the year 1 players.

Re: Value's Steam Deck Might Be The Closest We'll Get To A Switch Pro In 2021
Looks really good overall, but I don’t like the look of the layout. Too much crammed into the top corners.
Re: Physical And Collector's Editions Of Among Us Are Here
Mira HQ implies that among us takes place in the same universe as Xenoblade X. Perhaps the impostors are Devinians?
Re: Phoenix Wright, Miles Edgeworth, And Monika From DDLC Are Getting Nendoroid Figures
The nendoroids of Nintendo and smash characters should have the functions of the equivalent amiibo.
Re: Back Page: The Ten Best Crabs On The Nintendo Switch
Everyone knows that Crabrawler is the superior crab Pokémon (not in SWSH, but is in Snap).

@ModdedInkling You don’t need to play A Link To The Past to enjoy it. ALTTP is one of my least favourite Zeldas, but I loved this.
