The old carts were enormous, so you’d see them in the machine. You don’t see the mini cartridges, so I’m not sure what the point would be.

Hey old people, I first played it as a teenager in 2017, and it was the first Zelda I played.

JP might not have Mario, but the composition is a lot better.

Echoing the sentiments above, FE Engage is my GOTY. Yes, the writing is weak, but it has the best gameplay in the series by a landslide (though as a game as a whole, I like 3H better).
My favourite games that released years ago but I only just got round to playing are Outer Wilds, Inscryption, The House in Fata Morgana, Persona 5 (an all time top 10) and Persona 3 (but oddly, I didn’t get along with Persona 4).

Played the PS5 version; absolute masterpiece.

One of my favourite games when I was a child. As twin Pokemon fans who were bad at sharing, my brother and I had a designated PokePark slot rota.

It’s my favourite OOT dungeon, and I never struggled with it, but it’s still a poorly designed level- the changing water levels mean that if you miss a key in the room before you have to do a lap of the entire dungeon before you can get back there.

I’m a grown man with no children, but am training to be a primary school teacher, and am seriously considering binge watching Bluey so I can be hip with the 6 year olds.

Wind Waker. Doesn’t need much lore knowledge beyond the legend in the prologue, Zelda has plot agency for once and Ganondorf has actual motivation beyond “he’s evil”.

Are the colours actually more faded on the NA/JP version, or is it just the image quality?

The "blue chap" is the Qi fruit, its been in the game for a while.

Slightly off topic, but is anyone else just… not feeling this year? So many games have received massive acclaim, and I’m happy for the people who are enjoying them, but I’m just not getting them, I guess? Zelda disappointed me, Baldurs Gate is fun and technically impressive, but not outstanding to me, and whilst Seas of Stars was enjoyable, I didn’t see what set it apart from genre contemporaries. When I see these games being discussed as Game Of The Year contenders, it just makes me wonder if games I haven’t played yet like Mario Wonder and Dave the Diver can actually be as good as people are saying.
Current GOTY is Fire Emblem Engage- underrated IMO.

Do Fiora and Duncan like each other?! Avenging Fiora’s “death” is literally Dunban’s main character motivation.
Also, Edelgard and Dimitri have a great dynamic on Three House’s Azure Moon route.

Truly the Dark Souls of Mario games.

I recently visited an interactive Van Gogh exhibit whilst on holiday in Singapore- it was really good. I do agree to some extent with the comments about the commercialisation of his art, but at the same time, if it helps as an introduction for children who otherwise would uninterested, it could be a positive.

Scrolling past, the angle and colour scheme on the museum screenshot made me briefly think it was the school from Persona 3 Portable.

Jp box art is back in the days when they didn’t know which ones where popular yet, so they kept promoting Poliwhirl alongside Pikachu, Mewtwo and Charizard. In the Pokémon Adventures manga, Red’s starter is a Poliwhirl!

Xenoblade 2 is my least favourite entry overall, but it definitely has the best music.
