Re: Video: Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom Channels Breath Of The Wild And Tears Of The Kingdom

@JalapenoSpiceLife yes, it does seem like this 2D entry will be a bit more open, but that doesn't mean they're completely redoing the 2D formula. Linearity is still a huge factor in 2D Zelda, and I believe the devs know this and will be sure to match that linear feeling while also giving the player an unprecedented amount of freedom that has never been seen in a top-down Zelda game.

Re: Review: Persona 5 Royal (Switch) - Finally On Switch, This Is The Very Definition Of Essential

This is totally going to contradict the comment above this one, but this is one of the best games I’ve ever played. I honestly really like listening to the different conversations the characters have. Makes everything feel… Real, like there’ll be real consequences if you let the bad guys win. If you’re thinking of playing this game, stop thinking and just play it. You won’t regret it.

Re: Pokémon Scarlet And Violet's DLC Gets A Physical Release On Switch

I’ve never really understood putting just codes into physical game cases, but… Actually, I can kind of understand. With full games, it’s a cheaper, easier alternative to actual cartridges, but still allows you to showcase your game in a retail environment. That I can kind of understand. But this? I don’t know… Just seems a bit off to me.

Re: Mario Movie Producer Denies Legend Of Zelda Film Rumours

At first I was a little disappointed that a Zelda movie wasn’t actually being discussed, but that was before I remembered that these rumors suggested Illumination was going to handle it. I’m incredibly relieved that Illumination won’t be handling a Zelda movie. The studio is known for subpar stories and animation styles, excluding the Mario movie on the latter point, of course.

Re: Anniversary: Two Years On, Here Are Some Amazing Game Builder Garage Creations

I got this game on launch day. I thought it looked neat, and was excited to create some weird, fun minigames. While I did enjoy tinkering and creating small games and projects, the one thing that kept me from absolutely adoring this game was the fact that I couldn't see what the rest of the community was up to. Unlike games like Super Mario Maker, you couldn't just upload your creations to in the game some worldwide creation-veiwing area to allow other people to see what you've made. If you wanted to share your creations, you first had to get a code for your game, then share that code with the community through some external website or something, since you can't just upload them through the game itself and have people veiw your creation straight from the game. The Game Builder Garage subreddit is the only place where I can see what the community is doing.

Re: New Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Item Up For Grabs On My Nintendo (North America)

I ordered some stuff using My Nintendo Platinum Points a few days ago… I kept telling myself, “dude, you know Tears of the Kingdom items are going to inevitably appear on the rewards shop, right? Hold off on ordering until they appear so you can order it with the rest of your stuff and save some money by not spending more on shipping.” And did I listen to myself? No. I did not. But am I still going to order this? Yes. Yes I am. Because I’m a sucker for a good keychain. And I’m also just a sucker in general.

Re: Zelda Devs Confirm The Return Of Fan-Favourite Feature In TOTK

YES! Proper dungeons? I couldn’t be happier! I loved the Divine Beasts in Breath of the Wild, but they felt very similar to each other, both gameplay and design wise. I can’t wait for some more gameplay and design variations between these dungeons. There’s one thing that’s bothering me, though. When I think of a “proper” Zelda dungeon, a couple things pop into my mind. Linearity, key items, and a banging soundtrack come into mind. However, with infinitely many ways to solve a single problem in Tears of the Kingdom, I don’t think we’ll have that same linear feel from previous Zelda titles. However, the Zelda dev team is an incredibly creative group, so I’m not really worried about the new proper dungeons not living up to the hype, because I guarantee they will.
