Nice for what was demonstrated. The free roam has more going on for it than I thought and knock out tour interests me. Nice to have battle modes back though that was to be expected. Don't. know how I feel about the addition of enemies and creatures for the roster. Like the cow and dolphins but Goombas and Pokes I'm eh on.
I think what would've definitely convinced me of its $80 is if it had a single player campaign and elimination prix along with some other Nintendo guest stars like 8 did and might do. Though if its paid, then no for me. I'm still waiting on Kirby Air and Sonic racing before I decide

I know someone out there is making accusations of this dash food being being casually racist out there. But it fits with the globe trotting adventure much like Mario Odyssey. Mario and Luigi having a Pizza for the Italian costume is kind of weird when they're already Italian.

As I''ve said, I'll tune in. I'm open to the possibility that they'll make this game worth $80 somehow but I'm waiting to see and hear from Sonic and Kirby, what's under their hoods and their worth. Air Riders and CrossWorlds could have just as much to say as World.
That said, everything we've predicted about this game. A thought could be an elimination and a single player campaign. Going back to adding a few other Nintendo IPs. That'd definitely help its case.

If there is a standalone release of WW it has to be 4k now. They've out grown HD. The Switch 2 levels are too high and capable. But that also means $70.

Not the best but all things considered the game line up itself might be on par with a 2022/2017. If we count Switch 2 launch games and Switch 1 like Xenoblade X, Tomodachi Life, and Donkey Kong Country Returns. Between the brand new megabits like in Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong, the cross generation stuff like Pokemon ZA and Metroid Prime 4, the surprises like Hyrule Warriors and Kirby Air Riders and new IP in Drag X Drive. All this year. Not to mention what they're doing older Switch 1 games.

I want a wind waker 4k port. With all the bells and whistles added to HD. I hope that rep was telling the truth about gamecube online games not interfering with updated versions of Zelda.

I'll tune in but I"m not expecting my mind to change. I want to see there display at attempt to make this game worth that price tag. I don't expect it. Even then, when Sonic Crossroads and Kirby Riders price and content get more information, then I'll decide which racing game I'll get.

EPD Tokyo. The way Donkey moves and the worlds aesthetics scream Mario Odyssey.

Donkey Kong was nice motivation to go there, if Zelda gets one too. They just multiplied their ticket sales.

Metroid Prime 4 Beyond, Donkey Kong Bananza, and maybe Kirby Air Riders. Age of Imprisonment I'm thinking about. The boost to 4k or 120fps is more than I expected from the machine so 70 for each of them may be something I can adjust to.

I knew OoT remake was too good to be true now. but I wouldn't have believed this either. That note, no sign of Link. But I need to know how this games going to run.

I've been dreaming about this for years. Nintendo using other platforming mascots at the spotlight of 3d gaming. Playstation had 5 with Crash, Spyro, Sly, Jak, and Ratchet, 6 now with Astro Bot. Nintendo taking a page from them. And while they did try with DK 64 and Wario World. Kirby and the Forgotten Land and this are the them taking it for real. Point being you don't need to lean on Mario for everything.

So the enhancements are a pack and not really a whole new remaster.

While this is a nice surprise. Mario Kart World and Sonic Racing Crossroads already crowd the market this year. But hey I guess racing connoisseurs get to eat big with three flavors of party racers.

I was hoping we'd atleast hear about the alleged remasters for Kirby Planet Robo Bot and Fire Emblem 4 remake would be here. But all in all some of the 3rd party stuff looked cool. The new Labyrinth game and Dragon Quest. Also Golf Journeys. Its cool for fans of Rythym Heaven and Tomodachi Life get new entry's. But I think this should've been a partner showcase. Metroid, Pokemon, Rhythm heaven, and Tomodachi Life could've had there own stuff.

Only remasters and spinoffs
A Zelda spin off if anything. Putting 3d Zelda remasters of any of them don't feel like they'd make the impact they would've. If WW,TP were to get rereleased, might as save them for a 4k boost on Switch 2. Though worse case scenario they're bound to a gamecube online service.
I think a Kirby planet robo-bot would be an appropriate swan song, and a Mario spin off like baseball.
Heck a Star Fox remake of Assault or Adventures, please not Zero, that game crashed, I'm fed up with Star Fox being stuck in 64 rehashes. I'd rather Star Fox be put on early Switch 2 so the series actually has a chance to sell but its fine. Also Fire Emblem remake, I could see that being appropriate boost for later Fire Emblem.

Can we get Persona 6 first. Persona has lingered on the Persona 5 train for about a decade, now they're going back to 3.

Don't twist his words around with this headline. Him prioritizing japanese tastes doesn't mean being anti american tastes. Heck maybe Japanese tastes can be American and vice versa.

I have yet to play X.
1 is very polished but basic.
2 has issues but the joy of figuring out the complex systems and its content keep me going back.
3 not only keeps its 1s polish but exceeds with the complexity and compelling design to learn. The stories of each shoot for different stars.

I've wanted a SF movie too. Its one of the few Nintendo series I see potential for. As sick as I am of Star Fox being carried by rehashes like Star Fox. I get the feeling a lose adaptation of that is how it starts. Then expand on the universe with Krystal, Panther and so on. Though Star Fox may need some clout first before it happens.

@Toastmaster I would've said the same thing about Illumination had they went with them when that was rumored. Even though Illumination got Mario.

Really hope we get a few non sonic characters back. Going from Transformed to Team Sonic racing gave me a feeling I'd feel if Smash brothers stripped every series representation except the Mario universe and that would be the only series put in. Bring back the Nights, Shenmue, Monkey Ball, and Skies of Arcadia stuff. Even Riders had Nights, the monkeys, and Ulala.

I didn't realize this game released on Valentines day or that its 20 years old.

I do too. While a new modernized game with a new mission that continued the universe is my true wish. Remaking one of the gamecube games I'd be open to if its polished up and a new dev team is getting tested. I'll take anything but another retread of Starwing or Lylat Wars because they've played that card plenty with 3d remake and Zero.

That impresses me. I want to see what the new Mario Kart has before I decide which one to pick up first.

An Amusement Park. Though I guess at that point. This series isn't really a Luigi's Mansion anymore since its not a mansion being investigated.

Is it talking about 24 racers on the track or by roster?

If they're thinking about doing a very loose adaptation which only covers a portion of the story we experienced in the game like Sonic 3 did with Sonic Adventure 2, then maybe there is a chance. But if they're thinking about converting a 15 hour long adventure into a 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hour long viewing with the way Zelda games are structured, then I can only see failure, and mainly why I can only see an original story having a chance of working out with this Zelda film.

Also maybe Twilight Princess Nintendo?

They're in for it now. Great soundtrack to a great remastered game. I can't speak for the original. But definitely top 5 material for not only my Zelda soundtracks but orchestrations to video games.

@MrGawain Then how do you explain the games that reuse the same Link in a following game like AoL, LA, MM, PH, ToTK. Or games that reference or recap past events that happened in prior games like WW to OoT or ALBW to AlttP or TP to OoT?

I find pieces of the timeline interesting. The Child and Adult Timelines feel like actual saga's that had pretty clear continuity. You could tell with Wind Waker and the ds games. Same with N64 games and Twilight Princess. Both timelines even have a gap for interpretation to fill that depending if you care about the characters and settings, it might be interesting to fill in about PH-ST or MM-TP. But not as a whole, the downfall and pre split have games that are out of order release wise meaning and what continuity there is being that I don't think much about the games involved.

It was obvious about where it was. But all that talk about how Nintendo's and the Zelda staff will ditch the timeline after Breath of the Wild and how it was an opportunity to start a new. All down the drain. Lets face it, the timelines apart of Zelda no matter how many games they don't answer for.

We're getting every past Donkey Kong game before we get a new one.

Alright, I guess the Zelda fandom could get behind a Zelda game with her as the protagonist and a new mechanic. I wonder if digital sales are included in this. Now lets see how it fares during the holidays Black Friday to Christmas.
