Re: Eiji Aonuma Has Been Spotted Alongside Miyamoto At Universal Studios Japan

GinMiguel

So many thoughts fly by this huh?
-Aonuma is wearing construction gear, looking like he's advising the team. Maybe its an expansion for Zelda since he is the face of Zelda's development now.
-He's a Nintendo producer so he may be involved with the park at large even without Legend stuff.
-There were rumors that Zelda will be getting a theme park expansion after DK. Replacing Harry Potter I believe at epic universe which is where they actually are.
-Why remove the video if it was nothing serious?
-We don't know when this is, could've been during DK's expansion.
-Universal's studios isn't working on the Zelda movie, why would Zelda get a theme park expansion?
Got anything more to add?

Re: Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown Dev Would "Love" To Make A Zelda Game

GinMiguel

Its like the developer read my mind cause I was thinking the same thing at one point. Imagine how cool if Link played kind of like Sargon without the dual Wieding but uses a lot of different sword skills. I don't think I'd want a Zelda Metroidvania when we got Metroid. But a semi top down/side scroller like AoL Or a spin off staring Sheik.

Re: Fire Emblem Engage Artist Celebrates First Anniversary With New Artwork

GinMiguel

This was a great tactics RPGs. While a step back interms of story and writing from 3H. There was still a lot of charm that really carried this game along with the mechanics. That being said, I hope we don't get anymore celebrations of Fire Emblem's history for a long time. After doing that 3 times with the first Warriors game, Heroes and Engage. Heck technically Smash. Give it a break.

Re: Sony CEO Drums Up Hype For Nintendo's Zelda Movie

GinMiguel

The problems with using Wes Ball and Derek Connolly's past work against them for why they aren't qualified for this is that one. In especially Wes Balls case they were the first movies he directed, directors make mistakes and can learn from them. Second, we can pick out bad movies these people have worked on but not about why these movies sucked. In Derek Connolly's case, he was part of a team in RoS. Detective Pikachu, and Jurassic World. Unless we have the storyboard and the scripts by each writer, we're just singling out. Lastly what these people have done doesn't mean the Zelda movie will feel like them in spirit, look at the Mario Movie having the Teen Titans go creators and the minion movie writers. Did the Mario Movie feel like them and if they did was it the same quality?

Re: Soapbox: It's Time For A Zelda 1 Remake, Please

GinMiguel

While Zelda 1 is one of the few games that feel necessary to be remade. I feel like the next step for Zelda is a new top down game. All thats held top down at all are remakes of Links Awakening and the crypt of the necromancer spin off. We have Zelda 1 and the majority of top down Zelda on the Switch online already.

Re: Feature: Which Zelda Game Has The Best Ganondorf? Every Design Ranked By You

GinMiguel

I'd put Tears Ganondorf over Ocarina and Twilight Ganondorf but I don't know if he passes Wind. Maybe because Matthew Mercer's voice gave him an edge. As a boss fight, thats where things kind of flip around. I haven't played some of these games in a while so my memory and recency might contaminate things in regards to Ganondorfs mechanical design while also thinking about visual and story design.

A side note, why is Ocarina Ganondorf and Smash Ultimate Ganondorf separately ranked? Ultimates design is Ocarina's version straight. What about that is from Twilight Princess?

Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom's Master Sword Twist Was Decided Very Early On

GinMiguel

On the topic of the twist In all honesty, its probably up there with the Sheik twist and better than Tetra's. Those ego's were cool too but this is the first transformation of hers that actually assists Link in the final battle where past ones were Zelda backing him up with her magic which is cool too but this is unique. The cutscene that revealed it after pulling the master sword really moved me.

Re: Random: New College Course Is Grading Students On Their Zelda: TOTK Engineering Skills

GinMiguel

I keep saying, Tears of the Kingdom is pretty much Zelda Maker, dungeon excluded. The customization of clothing, and building of weapons, ammo, vehicles, and so on. Tears probably has just as much freedom and flexibility in its creativity kit as the Mario Makers world customizing and level building. Granted Zelda's always had an engineering aspect to it with the dungeons and puzzle solving. They take problem solving, navigation, outside the box thinking. I'm surprised this wasn't attempted sooner with that aspect in mind.

Re: Talking Point: Which Zelda Game Should Be Adapted For The Movie?

GinMiguel

None of the above. Zelda games are too long they'd need to choose what to cut out in between and the stories are spread out between exploring and dungeons making it a pacing nightmare to adapt. Besides we already know those stories leading to redundancy and predictability.
A new story that borrows elements while making their own version and dance of Link, Zelda and Ganondorf. Borrowing aspects from the games. Avoids all that.

Re: Sony Is Co-Financing Nintendo's Live-Action Zelda Movie

GinMiguel

I feel like I was the only one thinking all along, they're not going to Illumination for Zelda. Just because they scored big time with Mario. Nintendo don't let success with one group dictate future plans and they don't put their eggs in one basket for game development surely not for film production either. That being said, Sony of all companies. I thought maybe some other Universal division like Dreamworks or NBC Universal Studios would get on. So hears to surprises
