On the topic of the twist In all honesty, its probably up there with the Sheik twist and better than Tetra's. Those ego's were cool too but this is the first transformation of hers that actually assists Link in the final battle where past ones were Zelda backing him up with her magic which is cool too but this is unique. The cutscene that revealed it after pulling the master sword really moved me.
I see, they left Mysplaced alone because even though it was a near identical title didn't have Link, Koholint, or the bosses. This is a recreation of dx title.
how long is this interview. Cause he's answering so much with famitsu and ign. Perhaps they could ask him about 2d Top Down Zelda or spin offs, or a different villain and art style for the next 3d game? Maybe the movie, which is probably more for Miyamoto.
I always thought linear zelda fans would be mostly happy if they kept that up in top down Zelda while open world could still carry on with 3d games. Kind of like the compromise they've achieved with Sonic being modern in 3d but classic in 2d. Though for all we know 2d Zelda may very well go back to Zelda 1/ALBW design.
This is actually fine by me. This version of Link, Zelda, Ganon, Hyrule have been a blast but I don't want any era of Zelda milked. Let them move on and figure something new out with all that. New aesthetics, and what new versions of those characters could be like.
I keep saying, Tears of the Kingdom is pretty much Zelda Maker, dungeon excluded. The customization of clothing, and building of weapons, ammo, vehicles, and so on. Tears probably has just as much freedom and flexibility in its creativity kit as the Mario Makers world customizing and level building. Granted Zelda's always had an engineering aspect to it with the dungeons and puzzle solving. They take problem solving, navigation, outside the box thinking. I'm surprised this wasn't attempted sooner with that aspect in mind.
Maybe on its own merits the water temple isn't terrible. Central tower, water raising and lowering are all cool in concept. Its just having to pause when ever I'm in the water, and missing the spot where I just solved the puzzle and ever wall blended together. All fixed in the 3ds remake
None of the above. Zelda games are too long they'd need to choose what to cut out in between and the stories are spread out between exploring and dungeons making it a pacing nightmare to adapt. Besides we already know those stories leading to redundancy and predictability. A new story that borrows elements while making their own version and dance of Link, Zelda and Ganondorf. Borrowing aspects from the games. Avoids all that.
I feel like I was the only one thinking all along, they're not going to Illumination for Zelda. Just because they scored big time with Mario. Nintendo don't let success with one group dictate future plans and they don't put their eggs in one basket for game development surely not for film production either. That being said, Sony of all companies. I thought maybe some other Universal division like Dreamworks or NBC Universal Studios would get on. So hears to surprises
@RCGamer Think Fire Emblem be anime. Otherwise its just game of Thrones. Zelda could be anime too if it was Ghibli or the animation team that did the Links Awakening animated cutscene.
Who's playing Link, will he talk. What about Zelda, Ganondorf, Impa and what have you. Also are they adapting the games like Detective Pikachu or doing or an original story like the Mario and Sonic films?
Seriously, All this time? I knew a Zelda film was inevitable after Mario got another chance and suceeded but I didn't expect to find out about it now. And its not Illumination which I did not see coming. But its live action, which I've come around on and see a good chance of working out.
A reflexive Sheik game involving Sheik cutting down attacking wolves with a bit more depth sounds could be neat if they hadn't described it as Wack a Mole.
Now if only Nintendo saw the potential and thought, "We can do better" and Zelda gets an actual movie or show with just as much effort, heart, and passion.
Really looking forward to it. After I'm done with ToTK and Oracle of Ages. My money is set. I got a good feeling about Wonder more than I did about every 2d Mario game since the NSMB games. Its past time.
Have they played Xenoblade. All joking aside. We barely/didn't have any britishness in Nintendo games. Which Is another reason to bring Krystal back in the mainline games.
While I've only played Wind Waker gamecube. Never owning a Wii U. I do like the bloom lighting the HD version. Something about it feels like a painting come to life, even if they might've over done it at times like the shadows on Links face where there has no reason to be or how claymated the character models look next to fire. Still, like it better.
Haven't they already been an entertainment company. Other than video games already being entertainment in of itself. They've had cartoons and anime, comics and manga from the late 80s through late 2000s. All thats changed now they're trying doing the movie thing again.
Rats, I was hoping at least for quality of life improvements like a map tracker, showing where I've been on the map. Or a master mode and trials quest. Maybe an arena to compete with other players. But oh well. Although not too surprised considering this game was going to be DLC originally and fleshed out as its own game because of the too many ideas.
@Ultimapunch I doubt Nintendo would let fan backlash would stop them considering they've done worse and got worse. And Martinet while vague about him leaving the role says he's still doing business with them.
Great idea, let us get used to what he sounds like, everyone will have calmed down about Martinets retirement and adjusted to the new guy taking over. And when we do finally know who he is. He won't get as much backlash compared to the time of Martinet retiring.
As for the answer to the first question of whether its a good idea to have them go face to face. There ought to be an answer for maybe but not in the same month.
I'm sure this Mario Wonder will get me back into 2d Mario in which I haven't been in years. I'm feeling I'll like Sonic Superstars more than Mania. As for which one I'm looking more forward to. Its a bit early to say, the Mario Wonder direct could easily make me put me in the Mario camp.
@Lizuka I don't know about being more real? But regarding no possibility of being good, Didn't stop Detective Pikachu, Mario and Sonic films creation. The quality of the stories the games have wouldn't matter if its an original plot that has no relation to the games. As for the Zelda working well for what it is. Its multiple things already. The manga series, a concert, fan animations and for the time even the cartoon weren't protested. Why is a movie where the line is drawn?
One could hope Metroid 6. 2d Metroid is looking healthy the foundation and honestly interests me more then the prime games. I really hope MS keeps improving and taking feedback with the side scrollers.
I don't like it either. The chaos under the vehicle looks like such a mess. the right arm being so overglowed. And seriously can someone give Links some pants?
I knew mercury steam had some controversy and allegations against them surrounding this project. But I wouldn't boycott MD because 1 it feels like I'm blaming a kid for having crappy parents, and 2 boycotting wouldn't solve anything, doesn't help the victims.
@PinderSchloss But they don't remake games that they already put on the switch. They might put games on the service that are already remade after sometime like Links Awakening and maybe Advanced Wars Reboot camp someday. But not the other way around. That could mean its an original top down Zelda they're doing if they put these two on the switch..

I'm surprised Ganondorf got so few votes. I mean I'd expect triple digits at least.

I wasn't anywhere near this poll. But Zelda really beating Link, Sidon, Tulin, Rauru and Ganondorf? No small feet.

@Markiemania95 @the_beaver Which is the mystery. To start with the better game and experience or end with a better game and experience.

Definitely. Not sure if I want it or Sonic Superstars first. Which would be the better to start.
