Weird how still no release date?

I get the frustration about the replacements and wish luck to Charles and Sam. But at the same time they're giving opportunities to new blood as well. Its give and take. Also at least it's not the movie actors, they got enough with the movieverse.

@ButterCashier One of those three appeals to me. But Links had multiple hair colors over the years. Pink in AlTTP, Brunette in the NES and Wii games, White as fierce diety, Raven/black as Radio and Dark Link. What's movie version going for that liberty more or less?

First the DK news and now the actors reveal. I get more Harry Potter vibes from Ben but he might do Link justice. And Bo, I need to know more about her. I actually hope they keep the black hair for Link and he talks somewhat. They're growing on me.

Donkey Kong being the next Nintendo movie star. Neat. I could see the potential this. It may be a while.

I expected to see Koizumi on here. Maybe he's working on a different project, probably he is still on 3d Mario and EPD Tokyo did split development after all. I do kind of wish Koizumi was on the Zelda team and Fujibayashi was on Mario. I like them both where they are, but I can't help but we've seen what Koizumi is capable of when he works on Zelda and Fujibayashi's ideas in prior Zelda games could translate so well to 3d Mario.

Yknow the backlash actually helped the game sell oddly enough. The boycott backfired even though it and actually increased sales. Funny how that worked out and it continued for a while when the truth was revealed.

Mob mentality, always the toxics. Granted I've been there and know to feel vengeful and want things right. I know Helena really not only killed her own career but when she made her statements, other actors came forward and said what they were paid. After receipts were uncovered and her actual paycheck was shown, no doubt there was a consensus out there thinking "was this whole underpaid actor stuff a scam?", "This actor lied, were the others lying too?" Just one big mess. Reminds me of the Jussie Smollett hate crime hoax.

I'll believe that when I see it. No sequel hardware or software in the same amount of time. Surpasses its predecessor. Not because the sequels are inherently inferiors. Its just the public praises revolution more than refinement.

@N00BiSH I don't put too much stock into what Kit and Krysta say but they brought up a point that the team doesn't have the capacity to split up into smaller ones for multiple projects, that they are very quality over quantity. But maybe a lots changed. Granted I don't see the scenario that 3d Mario had nobody working on it.

Edit: Not that splitting up a team automatically means a less quality product. Just means that they don't do that to get more games out usually.

Kit and Krysta brought something when they were discussing DK Bananza's developers but didn't really linger on this possibility regarding 3d Mario's future. Even I hadn't considered the possibility that 3d Mario might be given to someone else. Be it outsourcing, or a different group that didn't have their hands full.

@BiscuitCrumbsInMyBed I don't doubt that 3d Mario is their ace and they will need one eventually. But Nintendo isn't just Mario anymore.

Obviously and about time. Granted, I wonder how much of that staff got on this project and how long before a new Mario Game comes out. It will happen. But to those who are upset about the gap of original 3d Mario out there. You now know how Star Fox, Metroid, Kid Icarus, F Zero, heck even Donkey Kong fans have felt for years. Though not quite as Mario still had the spinoffs and 2d ventures and bowsers fury.

What is this slice of life anime looking title? Is it a new IP and a point and click adventure? I see what its by.

I knew this was August, it said summer and here it is. And GameStop has it at $7.99. If this is true, where are all the "Switch 2 games are $80-$90 crowd"? Now we need to know the other game dates. Kirby, Metroid, Hyrule Warriors.

They actually did it, the leaks were real. Sonic hanging out with Nickelodeon is an official product. Not what I had in mind but Spongey and maybe the turtles might be a neat addition. To those who can't stand the crossover, would you have rather had Team Sonic Racing roster again?

Definitely before she was a mayor and before her modern Carmen Sandiego look. Maybe the rumored Donkey Kong animated project could be her and Donkey Kong. They are both already established in the Mario movie universe.

I already had my sights set for this game for the 3d Donkey Kong novelty. Now that I've seen more, I'm absolutely all in. I have to buy it in preparation for getting the Switch 2.

Starting to think due to my theory of this being a prequel to Donkey Kong Country, they wouldn't show up. See guys, Nintendo doesn't hate Rare era DK. Can't see K rool though. Though on the off chance he were to show up, I'd rather not know here and just find out in game.

@Greenspark That exclusivity deal was that 3 games only go to the Wii U. Nobody said anything about crossovers, besides the olympics.

I also hope Link will be an unknown actor. Zelda depends if they want an already wise like OoT and TP Zelda or a Zelda finding wisdom like BoTW and SS. Ganondorf, I don't know. People who say they want unknowns or their official game voices for villains, Dr Robotnick and Bowser or villain adjacent like Knuckles and Shadow. The aftermath is how we all praise Jim Carry, Jack Black, Idris Elba, and Keanu Reeves sometimes even more than the game VA's. I'm sensing the same thing here.

So no Tom Holland for Link and no Zendaya or Emma Watson and any projected pick for Zelda. Cue the fan casts and the whole, "no actor will ever get it right especially if he talks". Well you can't please everyone

The Mitsuuroko or Three scales is a popular symbol in Japan because of the Hojo. That said, taking out the context of the leaks, would Link really be less likely than SpongeBob, the ninja turtles, or Aang. Also it wouldn't be the first time Link was put in a sonic game. He could be a bonus for Switch and Switch 2 players.

Fine by me, the original release date was in a crowded week. It was up against Sonic 4 and King Kong x Godzilla. Now I don't have the pressure of seeing one of them and waiting after or to pay to see. both the same week.

I wouldn't have minded them keeping it to the Mario Universe if they represented through out the games. The Pianta's and Penguins are nice in that, but what about stuff from Wonder like Prince Florian or Cappy and maybe Lochladies from Odyssey. No other Kong besides Donkey. Heck instead of boss characters like King Bobomb, Petey Pirhana, Queen Bee, or Goomboss. We get their minions. As for this pack having no tracks.

@Anti-Matter You're absolutely right, How Dare Sega include its other Mascots in a Sonic racing game despite doing so in two of the riders games and it being the point of the All Stars games?

@NinChocolate And Kirby Air Riders. Gotta see what that game does to prove and distinguish itself from the Mario and Sonic. Besides being just the Kirby racing game, or being faster than Mario. on top of being a worthy sequel after 20 years of being out of the racing genre.

@Megas75 @Suketoudara @Dr_Lugae I mean, its odd but is it really wackier than Danica Patrick or Wreck it Ralph and the Team Fortres guys in Transformed? Yes I'd rather hear news about Sonic characters like Tikal and Chaos from Adventure, or Mania/Superstars roster or some Sega stars. But this doesn't mean that won't happen.

She's been speculated on for how many years? I mean better fit for her than Tom Holland as Link.

I want to go. But I also get the sense I should wait for more expansion. What if Zelda or Kirby get announced and have a section in coming?

Love that the developers are opening up their thought process. Question is how involved is Aonuma and the Zelda staff are they? On Link and the modern sages being playable. A present storyline is possible.
Problem with them being playable through time travel is redundancy and illogical in context. Zelda is already the subject of time travel and he and the sages aren't necessary to the battle like the champs were in Calamity. Also Zelda can't time summon characters like Lana or Terrako.

@poyo_pie Didn't know Xbox did do it with the Kinect.

So its their support and development staff that aids on Zelda and others. I could see them do some wicked work on Switch 2 software.

@Ulysses I know nationality isn't defined by the clothes or that is cultural. But when you remember Mario and Luigi have garb by eating a food are now in their culture. Its the perception I guess. Mario already being Italian is common knowledge and he doesn't need those clothes for people to know that is what I'm saying.
