Re: Feature: Rating The Best Zelda/Link Relationship In The Legend Of Zelda Games

GinMiguel

@Vexx234 If you think about it, Link needs her help and others just as much as she needs his arguably since Ocarina of Time and to a lesser extent ALltP. It's a codependent partnership. Yeah she was a damsel in distress but in several cases, she was saving the world or Link in a few of the times when she was, making all the tough calls and sacrifieses. And in the 3d games, Link probably would've lost to Ganon, not have progressed or failed many of the adventures if it wasn't for her. Link is guided, lead, trained, progressed and beats Ganon with her help.

Re: Feature: Rating The Best Zelda/Link Relationship In The Legend Of Zelda Games

GinMiguel

No arguments about Spirit Tracks or Skyward Sword being the best. Course I won't raise an eyebrow at the other girls Link forms relationships with. But the life long friendship of Zelda and Link in SS and the Fullmetal Alchemist positions in Spirit Tracks. They have it going on more then Breath's from knight and princess to companions relationship could've done.

Re: Feature: Nintendo's Year In Review - Our Team Chats Big Switch Games, Butt Discourse, And Sakurai's Cat

GinMiguel

I feel like 2017 is a little overhyped as far as Switch goes. A chunk of those games were available on Wii U as well as still having slack carried by 3ds. This year had all original games as far as first party goes and little to no droughts. Not that I mind ports. They expand an audience. Though I guess one could argue that there might've been too much going on. Some months having several games cannibalize each other.

Re: Nintendo Direct Announced For The Premiere Of Super Mario Bros. Movie's Second Trailer

GinMiguel

@SmoothAndFunky Oh so Tears of the Kingdom the sequel to Breath of the Wild, Fire Emblem Engage, Pikmin 4 or Metroid Prime 4 and wanting them to be the best they can so they take their time are lazy and uninspired nor count? And games like New Pokemon Snap, Luigi's Mansion 3, Famicom Detective Club, Metroid Dread, Brain Academy, and Advance Wars are not old IP that have been ignored eh? If all of that is nothing then I can't imagine what something is.

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Leads Nintendo's Nominations At The Game Awards 2022

GinMiguel

About time Xenoblade is finally getting recognition for the game awards after 2 and DE got squat. Side note Nintendo games have gotten nominated more times than you think and won once so nothing is impossible.

2017: Breath of the wild won with Mario Odyssey nominated
2019: Smash Brothers Ultimate was nominated won best fighting game
2020: Animal Crossing New Horizons nominated won best family game
2021: Metroid Dread nominated won best action adventure game.

Re: Sonic Team Head: Sonic Frontiers And Breath Of The Wild Are "Not Similar At All"

GinMiguel

Regarding the comparison of the two. You can't blame people for making that judgement at first. A blue character running from robots to a grassy plain filled with towers and hills staring onto the horizon with a subtle piano melody that loops. Deny that quincidence. The boost mode is now more designed like Links stamina meter. Also Amnesia.

Now Zelda is an Action Adventure game by fact. They have similarities with role playing games, not necessarily the same thing. They can use elements of both.

Re: Bayonetta 3 Dev Responds To Voice Actor Dispute In Official Statement

GinMiguel

Finally a statement I can get behind Jenny Hale, she has been the only one who's word in all this I care about. Even though she didnt need to be roped in to this in the first place. I still get the feeling this isn't the last we hear on this fiasco. It would be great if everyone learned from this and ask questions on both sides of the story before jumping to judgement.

Re: Bayonetta's OG Voice Actor Asks Fans To "Boycott" Third Game After PlatinumGames Wage Fallout

GinMiguel

I wasn't going to buy this game because Bayonetta never grabbed my interests. However I've seen other VA's treated worse then her and were way better sports about it and none of them ever made the request to fans she made.
You know instead of demanding fans of Bayonetta to boycott a game they've been looking forward to for a while and that tons of hardwork went into (Devs, VAs, Programers, Managers) ect. Why doesn't she just sue Platinum? I'm sure everyone who sympathizes with her would love to GoFund her for lawyer bills.

Re: Poll: So, What’s Your Verdict On The Mario Movie Trailer?

GinMiguel

I am in and looking forward. Really feel those skeptic of this movie before seeing this trailer rushed to judgement. I liked how they sounded, looked and interracted. The movie reminds me of the World of Light cinematics. Not absolutely predicting a home run but looking on the brighter side. Also wondering about Yoshi or Daisy if they're in it.

Re: Takaya Imamura Celebrates Star Fox Adventures' 20th Anniversary

GinMiguel

The first Star Fox game I've owned. Played it 6 times I believe. Use to love it back in the day but really mixed on it now. I do still like the locals and some UI choices like the item select being done with the left joy stick is something I wish modern Zelda would do. Also best looking Star Fox game in the series. But I find exploring tedius and I no longer enjoy the puzzles or bosses except for the T rex at the walled city. I also don't like that we get scolded for revisiting the floating islands or can't get Krazoa's and spell stones together.

Maybe because I've played it so much that I know it too well that the game is predictable or that Zelda games exposed me to more challenging puzzles and a more engaging over world, with a better pacing in the story.
I don't want to say like everyone else that it would've been better off if it stayed as rare''s own Dinosur Planet because. Because 1) The Star Fox universe would not be the same and 2 the game by standards now would've either been overshadowed by the N64 Zelda's as Adventures already looks in adequate next to them now. Also I'm not sure Star Fox would've continued back then given that Miyamoto was already making DP as Adventures on a whim being that Saber and Fox look alike.

I do love the fan remake project done by esphirian. If that was an official project on the Switch, I'd definitely get it.

Re: Nintendo Direct Showcase Confirmed For Tomorrow

GinMiguel

And people here said there wouldn't be directs anymore. Regarding the contents of the direct. It seems remasterings of gamecube Zelda and Metroid are in anticipation. I wonder if we get the remastered versions of TP/WW and MP1 or they show up on a potential Gamecube online subscription since its been a year since N64 online was announced. Now we could get something different like the gb/gba or nothing for the online service tomorrow but I don't know.

Re: Rumour: The Mario Movie's True Title Probably Won't Shock Anyone

GinMiguel

@AnnoyingFrenzy They don't even need this movie to do well or would let how well it does dictate them branching other IP. Furokawa has already been enthusiastic about the animation/film business. If its true that a Donkey Kong movie spin off staring Seth Rogan is following much like him following Mario in the theme park. Then it will happen regardless.

Re: Talking Point: How Were You Introduced To Metroid?

GinMiguel

Smash Brothers was how I was first introduced to Samus. Technically I think my first experience with a Metroid game was playing the demo of Fusion for 10 minutes in Electronic Boutique back when they were in business. Its how I found out Samus was a woman because I died during that game.

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Executive Director Teases Series' Future

GinMiguel

Great, I'm kinda hoping they get back to Elma and Mira, I haven't played X but I know that game has a lot of fans and I hear that game ended on a cliff hanger. Perhaps giving people who love that game might be more. Either a sequel or in a definitive edition deal like the first game got. Maybe fix that cliff hanger with an expansion like future connected.
