Sony has never been good at supporting hardware outside its main console. Whilst they could no doubt produce something that is good, it's the longevity and support that is lacking.
@The_Nintendo_Pedant just an observation of late in these threads. A lot of comments where evidently the commentor (s) haven't either read the article or are repeating the same vibe regardless of the article in question.
A general disdain from some of anything Nintendo at present. That's fine whatever your beef is but if you've made your point, move on. No need to spin a negative or repeat on every article.
I like a debate of differing views. That's good and keeps the conversation healthy but comments of no relevance, substance and/or lacking in a constructive point are sometimes tiring.
Granted its on me to a point to not rise to it or comment back but it's certainly become more apparent on this site of late which is a shame.
@Kraven physical, digital, code in a box ..... I dont care. Im not missing out on games I want to play and I can't take all this crap with me when I go.
There's a lot of things I dont like in life or are not for me but I dont feel the need to talk about them on every thread. Honestly, these forums of late!
I do like the 8bitDo stuff. Never had a problem with anything and generally performs as I want and expect it to. I've got the nes keyboard and fightstick and the controller adaptor so I can use Xbox pads on the Switch.
However this isn't jumping out at me and I think my go to will still be the Pro 2. The pro 1 is legendary but mines currently on its way out. It did well for 8 years mind you.
@HeadPirate Fellow oldie here. Im at the point where Im no longer interested in stuff and particularly stuff sat on a shelf doing nothing.
I think the other point on physical for me is the ability to run it in 20 years. Modern hardware isn't going to last like the old consoles of today do.
I've moved on as I did with all of the iterations since floppy disks. Physical to digital is just the latest iteration. Digital to streaming will be next.
Thumbs up to alot of the above but I have a hankering at the mo to get back into City Skylines. The recent remaster would be appreciated. We got the trimmed version previously.
@JohnnyMind I expect Hogwarts is enjoying a resurgence with the rather good upgrade deal. I did note in my local CEX a lot of new looking preowned copies. I wonder if many are buying the SW1 version to upgrade then trading in when done. Its a fantastic deal.
@Sirko I think it's the constant from a few on this site who repeat the same comment everytime. Hell no key cards, PS5 is best etc.
I enjoy the conversations on this site but unfortunately in recent times, there has been an increase in some spamming the same point at every opportunity.

Re: 66 Switch 1 & 2 Games You Should Check Out In The eShop 'Blockbuster Sale' (North America)
Picked up NMS in the UK sale. Bargain price and thoroughly enjoying it in handheld on SW2. 👍🚀
Re: Rumour: Sony Is Gunning For The Switch 2 With A Handheld, Dockable PS6

Re: ICYMI: Nintendo Reminds Us Switch Game Vouchers Won't Be Sold After January 2026
Slightly off topic but in regards to Nintendo discounts, now would be a good time to introduce a Nintendo Switch Classics range.

Re: Video: We Bought 100 Copies Of Mario Paint... For Science
@1UP_MARIO any opportunity to say a dislike or something is better.
NL really need to sort these comment forums. Too many spammers getting a free ride.
Re: Japanese Charts: Switch And Switch 2 Hardware Are Both Crushing The Competition
@Bizzyb that's a mighty fine list 👍
Re: Poll: When The Heck Is Metroid Prime 4 Actually Launching?
November 25. My uncle works at Nintendo.
Re: First Footage Of Elden Ring Running On Switch 2 Appears Online
@Paulo a tad dramatic whilst quite misinformed.
Re: Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion Gets A Free Demo On Switch 2
Nice ....... (plus some dots to pass the minimum character count). 😃
Re: Indiana Jones And The Great Circle Will Launch On Switch 2 In 2026

Re: He-Man Is The Next '80s Icon Getting His Own Stunning Arcade-Style Retro Revival
This is my game! Stuck in the 80s and happy.
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Drag x Drive?
@Anti-Matter you've not even played it. A zero is for a game that won't load.
Re: Kirby Air Riders Direct Revealed for Tomorrow, 19th August 2025

Anyway, looking forward to this. 👍
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (16th August)
Enjoying Windwaker on NSO at present. Still holding off on X2 until an upgrade. Hoping for news next month.
Might get some C64 in over the weekend. Its the Maxi rerelease and my HDMI to Scart died New one coming from Amazon today. CRT is the way to play 👍
Re: New Grand Theft Auto Trilogy Physical Switch Release Spotted
Would only be interested in a good port of Vice City. 80s soundtrack and vibe intact.
Re: Review: Drag x Drive (Switch 2) - A Real Baller With Friends, But Is There Enough To Do?
Not for me but at least it's reasonably priced for anyone wanting to jump in.
Re: The Legend Of Zelda Movie's Official Social Media Account Goes Live
Open minded about this venture.
Will all come down to the fantasy approach taken.
Lord of the Rings, Willow and Legend spring to mind as examples with all 3 being a different approach and style.
..... Pretty safe bet that we are not in the Game of Thrones territory.

Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting The Switch 2 Upgrade For Kirby And The Forgotten Land?
@Anti-Matter can't get the upgrade if you dont have SW2 anyway
Re: Mini Review: The House Of The Dead 2: Remake (Switch) - Erratic Controls Chomp At Another Classic
Until they start bundling these games with modern lightguns, they just aren't playable.
Really hope that Namco or Sega bring back the genre.
Re: Nintendo Won't Let Charity Speedrunning Event Use Its Games Without Permission, Because Of Course
So it's not a no from Nintendo but a please ask first.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (2nd August)
Spent the afternoon wondering fields blackberry picking.
Blackberry crumble tonight with some clotted cream and then I'll probably do some virtual foraging in BOTW later on.

Re: Japanese Charts: Mario Party Rolls A Fine Switch 2 Debut, But Can't Move To The Top Spot
@OctolingKing13 Japan is on the bucket list 👍
Re: Japanese Charts: Mario Party Rolls A Fine Switch 2 Debut, But Can't Move To The Top Spot
OG still rocking 10k+ units. Impressive
Re: Switch 2 Has Sold "More Than 6 Million" Units, And Almost As Many Copies Of Mario Kart World
Encouraging numbers to start. Holidays will be the next boom but after yesterday's direct, we really could do with a bit more the horizon.
Not saying the releases aren't coming but they need to get the comms out there to keep the hype going.
Re: Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase July 2025: Every Announcement, Game Reveal, Trailer
It wasn't great in my opinion. I had hoped for some bigger heavy hitters even if they were largely ports.
I stay hopeful of the next full fat direct that the absences of today make an appearance then.
I mean it's not totally impossible for a full direct next week, is it???
Re: Japanese Variety Show Ranks Nation's Favourite Games, Mario & Animal Crossing Miss Top Spot
Breath of the Wild surprises me as Zelda isn't huge in Japan but those dudes are definitely Nintendo fans through and through.
Re: Feature: Nintendo Partner Direct Predictions - What Do You Expect To See?
Thumbs up to alot of the above but I have a hankering at the mo to get back into City Skylines. The recent remaster would be appreciated. We got the trimmed version previously.
Re: Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase Announced For Tomorrow, 31st July 2025
Looking forward to this with my wishlist being .......
Metaphor
Expedition 33
Dragon Quest 12 news
Halo Collection
Forza
Gears of War
Chrono Trigger Remake
City Skylines Remastered
Astral Chain 2
Not asking for much 😃
Re: PSA: You Can Now Remap Super NES Controls With Nintendo Switch Online
Not swapping.
Thats 30 years of muscle memory to unwrap.
Can't teach an old dog new tricks.
Re: Review: Tales Of The Shire: A The Lord Of The Rings Game (Switch) - The Hobbit, Or "There It Crashed Again"
I didn't have high hopes to begin with. Its a shame, as the books give a fantastic world to base a game in.
I dont know why but the devs behind Hogwarts Legacy jump out to me as a worthy contender to do something with this IP.
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Super Mario Party Jamboree TV?
@Johnny44 there's been a distinct increase in trolling on this site since the April reveal including from existing members who are anti anything SW2.
Make your point, fair enough but spamming every article with negative and unconstructive dribble everytime is getting tiring.
Its a shame as this site used to be a safe haven from the IGN comment boards.
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Super Mario Party Jamboree TV?
No score from me as I haven't bought the upgrade. Do wonder whether it will get a joycon bundle during the holidays though.
Re: Random: DK Would Go Bananas For This Fan-Made Switch 2 Dock Cover
That's very tempting as my son has a 3d printer and I think he has most of the right colours of filament at the moment.
Re: UK Charts: No Prizes For Guessing Who Overtook Donkey Kong Bananza This Week
@Hwatt supply and demand. Its evidently still selling well so they have no cause Im guessing to drop the price.
Its probably getting sales from NSO as well with all of the booster courses in the premium tier.
Re: UK Charts: No Prizes For Guessing Who Overtook Donkey Kong Bananza This Week
@JohnnyMind I expect Hogwarts is enjoying a resurgence with the rather good upgrade deal. I did note in my local CEX a lot of new looking preowned copies. I wonder if many are buying the SW1 version to upgrade then trading in when done. Its a fantastic deal.
Re: UK Charts: No Prizes For Guessing Who Overtook Donkey Kong Bananza This Week
MKW back on top indicates a continued high demand of the SW2 console.
Summer holidays now and handhelds tend to sell quite well.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (26th July)
Desperate to play another run of XC2 but waiting on the possibility of a SW2 upgrade.
Anticipating a direct next week where we might get some Xenoblade news.
In summary. I'll probably be meandering around NSO this weekend not commiting to anything new with some SNES and Megadrive.
Mind you, Golden Sun keeps tempting me on GBA NSO.
Re: Review: Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Con 2 Wheel - Flawed, But Still Fun
Fair play to anyone on tilt controls. That's some skills that I gave up on back on the Wii.
Re: Sony Job Listing Suggests More PS5 Games Could Get A Nintendo Release
Uncharted collection would be my only want.
Re: Xbox Will Reportedly Announce "More Game Ports" For Other Platforms Soon

I enjoy the conversations on this site but unfortunately in recent times, there has been an increase in some spamming the same point at every opportunity.
Re: Super Mario Party Jamboree - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV : All New Minigames & Modes
@Anti-Matter you dont have a switch 2 so yeah, you dont need it.
Re: Japanese Charts: Donkey Kong Bananza Sells A Bunch, But Can't Beat Mario Kart
At this rate, SW2 is on for 4-5 million in Japan before the year is out.
Re: 112 Games You Should Pick Up In Nintendo's Summer Switch eShop Sale (Europe)
112 games I should pick up. Steady on NL, that's a lot of £ and backlog. I like your ambition though 👍
Re: Poll: Has Donkey Kong Bananza Made You Feel Ill?
Its nothing new.
Some people get nauseous over fast camera swings and different camera perspectives.
Low FPS can also cause this but DK doesn't suffer from that.
Its not unique to this game.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: Weaponlord (SNES)
North America. Design is very reminiscent of the time.
Re: Video: Switch 2 Vs. Steam Deck System Face-Off, Digital Foundry Investigates
Basically kudos to both and comes down to the games you want to play.
Both are great in what they can do.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (19th July)
Probably something involving banana's.
Re: The First Review For Donkey Kong Bananza Is In
@WiltonRoots the only real commodity in life is time. That's the real true hobby.
