Sony has never been good at supporting hardware outside its main console. Whilst they could no doubt produce something that is good, it's the longevity and support that is lacking.

Slightly off topic but in regards to Nintendo discounts, now would be a good time to introduce a Nintendo Switch Classics range.

@The_Nintendo_Pedant just an observation of late in these threads. A lot of comments where evidently the commentor (s) haven't either read the article or are repeating the same vibe regardless of the article in question.

A general disdain from some of anything Nintendo at present. That's fine whatever your beef is but if you've made your point, move on. No need to spin a negative or repeat on every article.

I like a debate of differing views. That's good and keeps the conversation healthy but comments of no relevance, substance and/or lacking in a constructive point are sometimes tiring.

Granted its on me to a point to not rise to it or comment back but it's certainly become more apparent on this site of late which is a shame.

@1UP_MARIO any opportunity to say a dislike or something is better.

Enjoying Windwaker on NSO at present. Still holding off on X2 until an upgrade. Hoping for news next month.

Might get some C64 in over the weekend. Its the Maxi rerelease and my HDMI to Scart died New one coming from Amazon today. CRT is the way to play 👍

Would only be interested in a good port of Vice City. 80s soundtrack and vibe intact.

I do like the 8bitDo stuff. Never had a problem with anything and generally performs as I want and expect it to. I've got the nes keyboard and fightstick and the controller adaptor so I can use Xbox pads on the Switch.

However this isn't jumping out at me and I think my go to will still be the Pro 2. The pro 1 is legendary but mines currently on its way out. It did well for 8 years mind you.

Until they start bundling these games with modern lightguns, they just aren't playable.

Really hope that Namco or Sega bring back the genre.

@HeadPirate Fellow oldie here. Im at the point where Im no longer interested in stuff and particularly stuff sat on a shelf doing nothing.

I think the other point on physical for me is the ability to run it in 20 years. Modern hardware isn't going to last like the old consoles of today do.

I've moved on as I did with all of the iterations since floppy disks. Physical to digital is just the latest iteration. Digital to streaming will be next.

Encouraging numbers to start. Holidays will be the next boom but after yesterday's direct, we really could do with a bit more the horizon.

Not saying the releases aren't coming but they need to get the comms out there to keep the hype going.

It wasn't great in my opinion. I had hoped for some bigger heavy hitters even if they were largely ports.

I stay hopeful of the next full fat direct that the absences of today make an appearance then.

I mean it's not totally impossible for a full direct next week, is it???

Breath of the Wild surprises me as Zelda isn't huge in Japan but those dudes are definitely Nintendo fans through and through.

Thumbs up to alot of the above but I have a hankering at the mo to get back into City Skylines. The recent remaster would be appreciated. We got the trimmed version previously.

I didn't have high hopes to begin with. Its a shame, as the books give a fantastic world to base a game in.

I dont know why but the devs behind Hogwarts Legacy jump out to me as a worthy contender to do something with this IP.

@Johnny44 there's been a distinct increase in trolling on this site since the April reveal including from existing members who are anti anything SW2.

No score from me as I haven't bought the upgrade. Do wonder whether it will get a joycon bundle during the holidays though.

That's very tempting as my son has a 3d printer and I think he has most of the right colours of filament at the moment.

Its probably getting sales from NSO as well with all of the booster courses in the premium tier.

@JohnnyMind I expect Hogwarts is enjoying a resurgence with the rather good upgrade deal. I did note in my local CEX a lot of new looking preowned copies. I wonder if many are buying the SW1 version to upgrade then trading in when done. Its a fantastic deal.

MKW back on top indicates a continued high demand of the SW2 console.

Summer holidays now and handhelds tend to sell quite well.

Desperate to play another run of XC2 but waiting on the possibility of a SW2 upgrade.

Anticipating a direct next week where we might get some Xenoblade news.

In summary. I'll probably be meandering around NSO this weekend not commiting to anything new with some SNES and Megadrive.

Mind you, Golden Sun keeps tempting me on GBA NSO.

Its nothing new.

Some people get nauseous over fast camera swings and different camera perspectives.

Low FPS can also cause this but DK doesn't suffer from that.

Its not unique to this game.

North America. Design is very reminiscent of the time.

Basically kudos to both and comes down to the games you want to play.

Both are great in what they can do.

Probably something involving banana's.
