@Suketoudara Saturn and Dreamcast had a sizeable arcade pedigree and would love for those games to come to NSO. I have heard that Saturn is problematic to emulate but you would hope if SEGA was on board, they could get it to work.

@WiltonRoots agreed. Unfortunately, for what is just a hobby at the end of the day, some take it far too seriously.

Saturn games on NSO would be good.

I dont like games on too linear paths. This game has got the do what you want factor. Fantastic so far.

@JAGleics or phone a rather expensive phone line if you couldn't wait.

The 9 vs 10 is already getting a bit stale.

I expect these guys to give the technical spin, that's what they do but the good thing is that every article I've read today on the performance comes back to a summary point of it doesn't ruin the experience. 👍

@zool I think the point I was making is having an expectation of above 95% when we are only talking about a possible difference of 5% to perfect, is an immaterial difference and very much flavoured by the reviewer.

95% is not a low score as you suggested.

@zool splitting hairs between 95 and 100 is just subjective views amongst reviewers. I wouldn't conclude much between a score of 95 and a score of 100. Both suggest a very excellent game.

IGN gave it a 10. Seems like all scores are landing on a damn fine game regardless of a 1 point difference here or there.

If you are happy to get up to switch your SW2 on and dont need the chat button, the OG pro controller is still a worthy purchase.

Alternatively, if you are in the UK, get one from CEX with a 5 year warranty.

Sonys only opportunity to rival Nintendo in Japan is another handheld. They did that before but are famous for not supporting their products outside the mainline consoles.

I do genuinely think that hardware will be dead in 20-30 years with streaming the norm.

Handheld will be the last stronghold.

Sony and Xbox have hit the ceiling of low end gaming PCs. Their USP rivalry of most powerful hardware is now a moot point. Globally still doing well but in 1 to 2 gens time, I think the picture will be very different.

I feel like now would be a good time to introduce a selects range on SW1. With backwards compatibility, there's still a lot of mileage left in SW1 software.

Day 1 adopter of SW2 but Im still actively buying SW1 games.

@AlexOlney I presume a 1 is that it loads and nothing more. 3 it loads, the controller does some things and it has some sounds. 😃

Steam on the Switch 2 would be the dream.

Went with the light side. Felt like the dark side would have been good for the back.

As good as others that I have experienced.

Games line up could have been a bit stronger but the upgrades to SW1 games have meant that there is no shortage of good stuff to play. BOTW for me is night and day.

Been really impressed with the hardware so far. I wanted something on par with the Steamdeck and we got more.

Joycon form factor is massively improved. Never used to play split joycon but I am now 100% of the time.

Schedules looking good for the rest of the year and I expect a few more surprises to come.

We asked for a lot and largely we got what we asked for.

Whatever it sells, Sony will find 5 more PS2s somewhere.

Lots of JRPGs on sale at the mo on the eshop. Might have a peruse today.

I have 2 CRTs. Only way to play the 8 and 16 bit generations properly.

As with all of these things, you hear about the ones with a problem not the 99% that don't.

Always wary of attaching anything to a dock built and specked to do a particular job. Those fans are not for show.

I have neither the dexterity or patience for this game. I did my time in the 80s and 90s with no lives and no saves. Keeping your SNES or Megadrive on for the week was a challenge.

Still enjoying the BOTW upgrade. 2 divine beasts done. 55 shrines. Master sword in hand. All towers unlocked.

@HammerGalladeBro I miss the days of Iwata, Reggie and Shibata. CEO and director level people with character. Miyamoto et al are a given and glad they are still actively at the front of the media.

Just comparing Bowser to Reggie, we never see him. Granted I watch the European directs so could be wrong.

Bodes well for a positive future of SW2 with the holidays being the big first test.

In defence of Nintendo, companies rarely get this right. Let's be honest, we would be more concerned about a load sat on a shelf.

The attempts to stop scalping haven't been perfect but I am happy to see the attempts made. Not all companies try or care.

Im used to managing storage on a PC with a sizeable Steam library.

My Internet is pretty fast for downloads.

I'll manage for now until storage is cheaper.

@Anti-Matter PS4 Pro is still impressive from a hardware POV and has benefited from a number of cross gen releases and support.

I might be tempted at some point on a cheap Pro for a few franchises. Not many for me with PlayStation and why I never jump in on their current gen.

I could be wrong but I think the original had smaller pitches (or felt like it) that afforded a tighter and more scrappy match. Great fun.

I would challenge the statement of Zelda notes. Not a great implementation here, but lots of potential going forward.

It was one of the best features on the Wii U to have a map on a separate screen. If they can nail a seamless integration (no lag) with a smart phone to manage inventory, it would be a game changer.

Nintendo if anyone is the company to do it.

Useful in Super Mario World but I would abandon him in a heartbeat when I had to. He met many a timely death to save my skin. No regrets or remorse. 😃

Not for me as Im over motion controls but happy for anyone wanting to dive in at what is a reasonable price.

SW2 £395. SD OLED £470. Pros and cons of both but overall, a number of reputable reviews suggest the tech is considerably better on the SW2.

Im happy for what I paid and what I got.

@Lottemona If you want an OLED you'll pay more. I thought the SW2 was fairly priced for the tech and compared to other devices.

I honestly don't see a big issue coming from an Oled Switch and Oled Steam Deck. Yes I can see the difference between LCD and Oled with Oled being better but I haven't once looked at the SW2 LCD and said to myself, that's bad.

Haven't seen any sizeable issues of note.

They should hire the Dolphin developers.
