I love the look of this, but I think Nintendo needs to make it free at some point to really drag players on board, so to speak. I think it has the potential to be switch 2's rocket league if done this way and with continued support. Although the idea of it hurting to play after some time is worrying.

I'm incredibly hyped for this game. It feels like a breath of fresh air to go with DK for a new 3D platforming game too. It makes me wonder if the next 3D Mario is still a long, long way off, though. Here's hoping they do a BOTW open world style Mario Game - now that would be cool!

Where I live they will only give pre-orders to people subscribed to online, so I took a pre-order from a reliable shopping chain instead.

Are they going to release PSO2 with the online? OMG this would be a total dream come true for me. I still have my saves from back in the day and love to play from time to time

I don't get why people are crying to be honest, even if you're on minimum wage you could just work an extra day to buy a game. For the rest of us it's not even a days work. If you've got financial troubles too, then you better monitor your spending in a spreadsheet so you can see where to trim the fat because most spending is unnecessary.

I for one would be happy to pay for additional content. Nobody is forcing anybody to buy it.

Managed to get mine sorted today in the Netherlands, they'd been sold out previously. The Switch 2 + Mario Kart Bundle is the obvious choice. Good luck getting one everyone else and my condolences if it's out of reach for now <3

It was really amazing, I'd recommend it if you like movies that are funny and ridiculous. From the trailer I thought it would be cringe but I was genuinely surprised at how great it was. I didn't find myself cringing even once. Jack Black and Jason Mamoa definitely carry it though - they are hilarious.

The only bad thing about the reveal for me has been all the online negativity. It really detracts from the hype, I wish it had a mute button. It's obviously a minority feeling too because the switch 2 is selling out in minutes for pre-orders in many places.

@LikelySatan It's not a judgement of a games worthiness but its value for money. If you only care about how good a game is, then you're price inelastic. However, as a practically useful metric of a game's 'worthiness', monetary value spent per hour played is as good as you're going to get when it comes to optimising the allocation of your financial resources towards entertainment that is for you price elastic.

The launch titles look amazing, I want them all! They could triple the prices and I'd still happily pay them personally: I'm price inelastic in that sense.

Can't wait to get this, it looks better with every drip of information! I just want to free roam and explore everything.

@axelhander People need to quit being so entitled. If you buy the €90 physical edition and play it for just 20 hours it has cost you €4.5 per hour or entertainment: that's incredibly cheap proportional to other forms of entertainment.

I'm not usually a huge Mario Kart fan but this looks like the game I've always wanted: something more akin to Diddy Kong Racing which one can just mess around in and collect various things until their hearts content. I can't wait!

The only bad thing about the announcement are all the Debby Downers on the internet. It was truly amazing, I can't wait.

@swoose I still think the games are great value for money. I can pay more to go to a restaurant and that only lasts a few hours, yet the game lasts a lifetime. You could buy one a month and still have more than you can reasonably play in a year rather quickly, especially with the old library, PC games and other forms of entertainment // time spending to contend with.

Seems like there's a lot of rage over the prices but I think a lot of people couldn't care less what price the games are. Let's a goooo.

Got to admit, usually I am not interested by these types of games but this one looks like it could be fun to play with friends due to the attack // party mechanics giving it a cool USP for my fantasy inclined group.

@N64-ROX I always use a mod which highlights the light level on a square otherwise it takes too long to place torches. Or you need to memorize a bunch of spacing patterns.

@gardevoir7 I dont like subscription services at all because over time you end up paying more for the same content. And like you said, things can be removed: it's a big scam.

@betterthanvegas You can still trade Pokémon up from the game Boy advance to home. There's no way they can remove hacks.

I must say, I'm apprehensive about Legends Z-A because whilst some of it looked great, the city looks as vapid and boring as the towns in S/V.

I'm glad ma boi Tepig is in it but I was really hoping for a Black and White announcement....
