@HalBailman I don't know. It's the cost of a meal at a restaurant, and that's gone in an hour. I collect physical copies of (good) N64 games but it's still nice to have them on the Switch online expansion.

The thing that really makes Nintendo competitive is their IPs. Sure, they are also at the forefront of (physical) innovation in the industry too. But that quickly gets copied, yet few can successfully come close to generating such beloved IPs.

It's a really addictive game, and would be fun for some couch coop. I might have to get it on Switch too

@NinjaNicky It's not so bad if you don't play it on a 4k 65' TV. It's still better than some of the old games too, which had huge lag inside battles (especially double battles).

I suspect it's like Arceus' ability: you can pick it or hold an item to pick it.

I like the artwork but the model looks really bad. It's so goofy, but I like that about it. It's why I picked Fuecoco too: the look on its face is the stupidest thing ever.

Is multiplayer possible with it?

Can they really patent formulas for calculating game physics? This seems horrific.

That's a hard pass from me.

I just bought all of them on the 3DS store before shutdown recently. What a disappointment it'll be if they put it for free on the Switch online, unless it comes with multiplayer.

People crying about frame rates and such but none of that matters. It's a kids game, kids don't care about that. And the battles run fine, so people running in the meta couldn't care less either: the only issue there is smogon or live. The huge sales figures are a testament to this.

I'm most hopeful for a pokemon black // white // 2 remake announcement, plus a new legends arceus game to go with it. Legends Kyurem rumours have been floating around of course. But I doubt i'll be happy.

@Anti-Matter Looks like you're in the minority there. Hardly anybody cares about some trivial issues when it's the best Pokemon game ever.

@Bizaster It's not wise to give away information that can be used to reset passwords online. Such as favourite X, birthday etc.

@Dringo Yeah, twenty years later Microsoft made a reasonably successful game using the brand name. If you buy a broom, and then you replace the head and the handle do you still have the same broom?

It's a shame Microsoft killed Rare. Would love to have seen what they could have come up with without the buyout. A proper sequel to Conker's Bad Fur Day would have been immense, instead we got an inferior remake.

What are we meant to do with a collection of plastic figures to get bonuses in games with? I'd rather just buy a dlc.

Hopefully, we'll get to hear more about the Jurassic Park release. I really hope they have the Mega Drive games, though. As they are a league about the Nintendo ones.

@CharlieGirl Given that one can change everything about their physical appearance at the shrine of illusions for 500g (you can go there and change your face, sex, hair, and so on). There's nothing left to do apart from RP the reasons for the change

@CharlieGirl Seeing as non-binary is an identity and not something physical can't the players just RP it after choosing their character's sex?

It's funny how Nintendo can publish a game like TOTK which is immense, and then allow something totally inferior like Pokemon SV to be released. Now I love SV, but compare the world to that in TOTK and it's floor grime.

In their own words, making PvE for OW2 "doesn't align with the set of values they have chosen". If they actually got back to programming instead of living up their own backsides maybe their games would stop being broken messes!

"Blizzard quality" is not something to be proud of anymore. They ship trash. So it must have been REALLY bad.

What we really need is a modern Skyrim style RPG where you can play as Grant, Raptor or T-Rex.

The only critic score that matters is Steam User reviews. And even then, you have to interpret them properly. If someone gives a bad review after 3,000 hours then it's probably good. Whereas overwhelmingly positive reviews from hordes of people playing something for five hours means it's probably a waste of money.

Considering it's missing a multiplayer and the ability to skip battle animations I'm giving it a 'good'.

The former is really problematic. Playing with verified friends only isn't a real multiplayer.

Love the bi-weekly seven stars. Just hope they do Charizard again because I missed that one.

Great game but with 2 major issues:

1) You can't skip battle animations.
2) Multiplayer is trash.

The game is so easy, I really hope they improve the multiplayer to include people other than friends. At least the map creating and sharing feature can up it a bit as you can make maps where the AI gets a huge advantage.

@ChromaticDracula Surprised you fall back to sun and moon. Double battles were virtually unplayable in that one due to frame rate issues.

I preordered this, and am hyped for it. But from what I've seen the devs have completely ruined multiplayer. Without a decent online it's just going to be shelf trash because people will continue to play on the web-browser versions.
