I got this on Switch and it's kind of fun, but the graphics are weird and the fan whirs like it does for no other game. I feel like I should have just gotten it on Steam instead. That said, it's worth getting on Switch if you do not have a PC and want to play a space based crafting/survival game.

Scarlet and Violet were the best Pokemon games yet in my view. They didn't run the best, and it could have been better. But I think it'll serve as a good base going forward. The freedom of running around in a big open world and searching for pokemon is unparalleled

Twitter has turned into a cesspit of hate and anti-western propaganda since being taken over by Elon. So I'm not surprised. What brand would want to be associated with that?

I had a blast playing these again on switch to be honest, the only bad thing was that it was remade by Aspyr and you can tell.

@d2k Good point. I loved the N64 as well, but it was a total failure that generation. I'm not sure personally the power means too much though, as if we want that we can go to PC. The reason I, and many others, go for Nintendo is their IP. If they started releasing Pokemon, Mario, DK etc on Steam then there's no way I'd buy a Nintendo console (for the reasons you mentioned).

The problem for Nintendo is it's hit or miss if their consoles will be supported or not. I don't want to buy something and it ends up like the Wii U. So unless they announce a Pokemon game for launch, I'll be holding off to see how successful it is.

All the Aspyr titles suck. Have you tried to play Jedi Outcast 2 for example? It was great on PC, on Switch the controls are awful. You cannot aim properly and it's missing multiplayer. Then comes Jedi Knights, and they didn't even bother to sell what they advertised. Now comes the dud that was BF remake. You know they exist to take old IPs and churn out shovelware for a quick buck?

SA2B was by far the best sonic game for me, I was hopefully with Frontiers that it might be close and whilst it was on the right path, it felt more like a PC mod than a sonic game. They should just do a full-on remake of SA2B, and maybe SA too

Just buy it on Steam and play it with a connected Switch controller. It's only 13 Euros.

Reboot camp was trash, he should be ashamed. Horrible graphics and lacking a proper multiplayer. Plus the map editor was terrible. How could they take a beloved game and make it bad?

I couldn't care less what price a game is to be fair. If I like it, I will buy it. I'm not going to buy one and done microtransactions though. Keep that stuff out of non-free-to-play games.

@FragRed Why should they be illegal? People are under no obligation to accept a job with a zero-hours contract, and it's nice for those who want to work flexibly. Such as students or parents.

3rd party docks are also cheap as. They're nice if you like to switch the switch between televisions frequently.

I wanna be, the very best. The best there ever was. Except when it comes to offering customers what they want.

Couldn't recommend Skyrim on Switch more, we've all played it before but to me it feels at home on the console. It's great to just lay on the couch with the lights off playing it in handheld mode: recommend using a lite for that given it is lighter.

@Braneman Thanks, yeah. I might pick them up next time they're on sale for a Euro. Surely, you've seen the side-by-side comparisons too? The new version looks hardly any different...

I almost preordered this on Steam for the 10% discount, and I'm so glad that I didn't. I assumed it would get good reviews, but boy was I wrong. What a shocker.

I would just buy it for singleplayer, but the Steam reviews have put me off. I'll wait until it's on discount.

I rated it excellent because I went in with low expectations but left with some hype for a few of the titles!

@SakuraHaruka It's a myth that GameFreak could develop a better game. You could give them a decade but they simply don't possess the skill. Look at Palworld, for example, it runs better and looks better and has more varied gameplay than any Pokemon game and it was made by 40 people who didn't know what they were doing.

How about a 3DS emulator with HGSS for NSO (one can dream)

It's a shame there's no switch 2 announcement because you know any new Pokémon game announcements will be current gen. And let's be honest, they've done all they can with this gen.

@SwagaliciousJohnson Why would they do that when they can make us pay? Especially when there are those of us that recently purchased all of the games because they shut down the 3DS servers.

I have a feeling this is going to be a year without any good announcements.

Given the rumoured specs, it sounds more like a switch pro than a switch 2. If true then the thing is as fast as a PS3, so it's not a huge improvement.

So Switch 2 was just a rumour then...

Baldur's Gate would melt the switch. The console simply cannot do it.

The game is made for ten year olds at the end of the day, which is why Game Freak doesn't care less about the performance. After all, why waste time on it when little jimmy will be begging mommy for it anyway?

Definitive way to play GTA is on PC anyway, the console versions are trash because they have poor graphics and constrained shooting mechanics.

TOTK was good, but Baldur's Gate 3 was a lot better. Both games deserve to win though.

Where is a new Conker's Bad Fur day? That's all I want to know. But you know they are probably too much of a bunch of PC pussy cats to do something like that now.

TOTK is good but Baldur's gate 3 is definitely GOTY. Some of the other options are laughable though. I love how Blizzard is calling Diablo 4 a GOTY contender, for example. It's trash.

DQM looks amazing. It has cake land for goodness sake, give it game of the year. I am hyped to get back from work to play it.

@AG_Awesome The master chief collection is super cheap on Steam. Especially if you wait for a sale. I'd recommend it.

I for one thought MK on switch was trash. I mean, it's an okay game. But there's nothing to do. I want a game with unlockable characters, maps and cups. Unlocking the different parts for your cart is pointless unless you want to compete online too. Something along the lines of diddy kong racing, I think, would be much better. A nice openish world where you can go around at will and unlock new maps and secrets: with bosses to boot. And perhaps even different kart types, I'll love the DKR planes forever <3

Before Pokemon, JP was my favourite thing as a kid. So I had to drop for the physical edition. I'm most excited for the Mega Drive games though. They're all kind of trash when you play them on an emulator now, but I still like them for the IP and nostalgia. I hope they do a Lost World collection next because I'll be on that.

Coker's the best game on the N64 for me. I'm glad I have the physical edition because I doubt it'll come to Switch online.
